Midweek Thoughts

Happy Wednesday, y’all! We have made it halfway through this week, which means we are so much closer to the weekend that we all look forward to. I want to stop trying to rush the weeks because life is already extremely short. If we rush the weeks, will that not make life even shorter? I do not know the correct answer to this question. However, something I have noticed is that so many people forget to appreciate the things and people they have in their life. We tend to forget to focus on the great things in life and instead only focus on the negative. Why do we do this? Of course, we all deal with complications in life, but there will ALWAYS be another person that is dealing with something much worse.

Maybe we are dealing with a difficult or frustrating job. The better way to view this is at least we have a job because there are still so many unemployed and struggling. Maybe we are battling with other challenges such as pain, which believe me, I know this awful is, but it could be so much worse. Look at all the people that have lost the ability to walk due to an accident or illness. Are they giving up and surrendering to their challenges, probably NOT! It makes me so sad how selfish and self-absorbed people have become in the world. None of us were promised an easy life, and none of us are owed an easy life.

So many people that I know and care about have struggled with various illnesses, including cancer. Unfortunately, some of these people have already lost their battles. Is this fair? Absolutely, NOT! Would any of these people dwell on this? Absolutely, NOT! I am bringing all of this up in this post because I want to help people see the benefits they have in life and never dwell on any of the terrible things. There is NO point in this because we still have a life we must live. Honestly, I get so frustrated with the thoughts that some people seem to have, which is they are entitled to more. I do not know what makes anyone believe they are entitled to anything.

Although I want to be informed about things in this world, I must try my best to avoid the news. There are so many awful things that happen every day. How many mass shootings have already happened in the United States? Too many! Too many innocent people and children have lost their lives due to gun violence. It is senseless and never should have occurred. Why should children have fears about going to school? Why should parents fear sending their children to school? Why should anyone fear being out at a grocery store or mall? None of these fears should be in our minds. Yes, I do understand too many think it is their right to have a gun, but it is no ones right to kill innocent people! We all have a right to live life without fear!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope what I have shared has resonated with you and I would love the chance to read your comments. What do you think about the way things have been in the world? Do you believe there needs to be massive changes in order for life to be better and if so, what changes? I hope you are having a good week. My week did not start off great and Monday was a terrible day, but it is getting better. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Always, Alyssa

YOU are strong enough!

The life we are living can often feel as though we are constantly dealing with an uphill battle. Or maybe a journey we are not meant to be traveling down. The moment one struggle subsides, another one appears nearly immediately. There may be many times during a week you wonder when life will get any easier, only to realize it probably is not going to. Understanding this fact does not mean you are accepting defeat, but instead, you are learning to realize your strengths and understand that you are courageous enough to handle anything.

When we know that someone else is experiencing a challenging or bumpy road and may feel like they are drowning in the turmoil of life, we can understand this feeling because we have been there before, and maybe recently. In a moment we must decide to offer advice or be a shoulder for that person to lean on because that is part of being empathetic and what humanity is supposed to mean.

As I have mentioned many times, I thought the waves of my life had come crashing down on me more furiously than I was prepared for. This tidal wave event was on the day more than twenty years ago when the doctor told me that I had Multiple Sclerosis. I was only nineteen years old and was terrified because I did not know what the rest of my life had in store for me and considering my young age, I did not want to know. I had recently uprooted my life to a new state miles away from everything I had ever known and did not know too many people. I was a nineteen-year-old girl, newly diagnosed with an incurable disease, in a new state, and in a failing relationship, I believed at that time that things were only going to get worst and would never improve.

Do you ever question all your decisions in life and wonder why things went so terribly wrong? Was it because of a bad decision that you made or just an unusual faith? Of course, I have always been the type to second guess myself and often to see that I was not as wrong as I thought I was. I do believe that in life, most of us live and learn. All the lessons learned in life, make us a better version of who we were yesterday.

I used to believe and sometimes still do believe that Multiple Sclerosis is my punishment for something I have done wrong in life. I cannot tell you what I thought I am being punished for because I cannot imagine what I did so wrong to deserve such punishment, but on days when my pain level is at its highest, it does not seem like anyone should have to endure that level of pain if they do not deserve it. What I have come to realize is, we are not being punished for anything we did wrong when we are diagnosed with an incurable disease, it is just the way life is supposed to be. I do not know why this would occur to anyone, but I do know we should do anything and everything we can to hold our heads up high and be proud of the accomplishments we have made so far in life.

I am sharing all of this with you because I want you to know and fully accept that no person deserves what they must face in life, and they are facing such hardships because they are STRONG enough to do so. Maybe they will be able to shed light on things to others when another is feeling down and like they cannot carry on. It is important to be proud of yourself because it is an accomplishment to still be here on this earth, even though you feel like life is too challenging.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and you are doing the things that bring you joy! This post is meant to encourage you and to help you realize that all of the challenges we endure in life are only making us stronger. We all feel weak at times and that is okay, but it is critical to try picking yourself up and pushing yourself forward. I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Pick-Me-Up Thursday

Happy Friday eve, y’all! How has your week been? I cannot believe it is already March. It seems like the first two months went by fast, and apparently, even Mother Nature is confused because these temperatures in the south are insane! I mean the temperatures seem more like early summer rather than what March temperatures should be. Maybe I am wrong, but it should never be close to 80 degrees at the end of February! As most of you already know, I have lived with Multiple Sclerosis for pretty much half of my life, and the heat makes things MUCH more intense!

The good news for today is, tomorrow is Friday, and the weekend is almost here! Of course, even though the weekend is much closer, we do still have one final day to get through, and I think we could all use a little pick-me-up. I do hope you will find the quote that I am sharing as a mixture of inspiration, motivation, and encouragement! Sadly, even though it is 2023, many people feel it is their right to judge another person. This could never be further from the truth because no one has the right to judge anyone else. Instead of judging, or deciding who is right or, who is wrong, we should all try to lift others up. Maybe it will take more than this to fix a broken country that has failed all of us, but I think it would be a step in the right direction!

With the weekend being so close, do you have anything planned for the weekend? My husband has to work all weekend, so I think it is safe to say that my weekend will be quiet and relaxing as I do not have to work😊! I might try to go to Vision Works to see if I can find another pair of glasses. I do have a new prescription and while I am going to get contacts, I would prefer to not be without my glasses for two weeks while the lenses get changed. I do not like wearing my contacts all day and always wear glasses after work.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed the quote that I shared today and I look forward to reading your comments. I will respond to all comments as soon as possible. Whatever you have planned for the upcoming weekend, I hope you enjoy every moment of it. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Tuesday, a day to support others dreams

Happy Tuesday, y’all! Normally, my post would be “Tranquil Tuesday”, but I am doing something a little different today. The reason I am trying something different is that I think too many people do not realize how important it is to build others up. Of course, there are some people that are born into wealth and possibly have an easy life, but this does not mean they are happy and feel fulfilled. Normal people are not privileged and must work for everything they have in their life and many people have a job they work just as a means to pay to take care of their family and have a roof over their heads. Unfortunately, many people dread their jobs and if they had another way to make a living they would.

It takes a strong and determined person to attempt to start their own business, especially with the economy the way it is. When someone has a certain skill that allows them to make incredible products with their bare hands and talents. Small businesses need to be recognized and helped when possible. I have a family friend that has started an amazing small business that allows him to use his talents. When we have to shop for a birthday gift and do not know what to get them, I am going to encourage you to check out this website. I am certain that you would find a brilliant gift for family, friends, or even yourself. https://www.tushkacreations.com/. These would be gifts no one else has and they are very special and beautiful! I can speak with my personal views as this man has made me several pieces that are gorgeous!

I am not encouraging you to check out the website I mentioned above because I am trying to sell anything, I just want this man’s small business to be as successful as it should be. I can promise you he is an honest and good man, who will create something you can be proud to own! Many people, especially in the United States enjoy shopping and purchasing new things, so why not give a small business a chance to meet and exceed your expectations?! Plus, this man has an adorable little four legged co-worker that is precious!!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you will check our my family friend’s website as I am sure you will find something that is spectacular! I hope you are having a good week so far and it only gets better with each day that passes. I would love to read your comments on what I have shared today and I will respond to your comments as quickly as I can. This post is 100% dedicated to you B! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Cloudy Saturday

Happy first day of the weekend, y’all! When the weather says it is going to be a cloudy day with rain beginning in the early afternoon, how do you spend your day? My plan is to relax with my sweet cats on the couch and watch reruns of my favorite shows. I have been working on the article I am going to submit for the writing competition each day and of course, keep making changes and adding more details. I have started this article over more times than I can count, but I think it is a good work in progress and hopefully, the judges will as well!

I do not normally add quotes to my weekend posts, but the quote I am sharing has been something I keep looking back at while I have been overthinking the writing competition. I think this quote is powerful and encouraging, which I do need while working on the article for the competition because I tend to discourage myself. I think I have told myself many times that my writing will NOT be enough to impress the judges and it is a waste of time trying, but then I know if I do not try I will always wonder what would have happened!

I do not know about you, but last week felt like the LONGEST week ever! Each day of the week felt like it would never end. I think the reason might have been I did not get enough sleep, so I was extremely tired. I have experienced vertigo for too many years, but on Thursday night had one of the most intense and terrifying dizzy spells. In the past when a vertigo episode occurred, it would pass after a few minutes, but this episode would not ease and I had to crawl just to get to the bed to go to sleep. This could have been caused by a sudden drop in my blood pressure or low blood sugar, who knows, but it was miserable!!!

Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope you enjoyed this post and you have a wonderful day! Remember, today is the first day of the weekend and you deserve to do whatever makes YOU happy! I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Motivational Monday

Welcome back, Monday, I cannot say you were missed! I know most of us never look forward to the workweek starting again, but let’s try to view today as an opportunity for success! It is better to view days we dread in a positive light, instead of a negative one. We know we are never able to avoid Monday or the workweek beginning, so why should we waste time thinking negatively? Believe me, I know the weekend was way too short, but at least we were able to enjoy a few days away from work! I do hope you were able to enjoy the weekend and that you are as ready as you can be for the week to start!

I do believe we should try to begin the week with the best mindset possible! I also think it is important to not just be on Monday, but every day is kind and understanding of others. If we could smile more and frown less, listen more than we ignore, and offer compliments to others, we would be happier and so would others! I do know it can be challenging to listen to others, especially when all they are doing is complaining, but it can make a HUGE difference! Trying to do any or all of these things will not cause any harm, so it should not be too difficult!

Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope you found the quote I shared motivating that it carries you through today, and that your week continues to improve each day. Remember to try not to worry about the things you have no control over and only focus on what you can control. I look forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Pick-Me-Up Thursday

I always prefer to think of today as Friday eve because it sounds much better than Thursday! How has your week been? For some reason, even though it has not been a super busy week, it has felt incredibly long. Life can be so exhausting because it seems like someone always needs something or someone feels the need to complain. I am not sure what people think complaining is going to accomplish, except drive others crazy. Maybe that is their goal or maybe they just like to hear their voice. No matter what I go through in life, I do try to never complain because it does nothing positive!

We have managed to make it through most of this week and only have one final day to survive because the weekend returns! I think we could all use a little pick-me-up to get through one more day, which hopefully, will not be too terrible! Unfortunately, we too often must deal with people who are unkind and rude, which none of us deserve. I hope the quote that I am sharing will help you handle these poorly behaved people and that you know that you are MUCH better than that! I do still believe when people are rude to others, they are just unhappy with themselves and want to make others feel just as badly as they do.

Now that we are so close to the weekend, do you have any plans? The only thing I know I am going to do is, go through my closet and decide what I am going to donate. I think this is important to do every so often because there are so many people that are in need and if we have things we are not using, there is no reason to keep them. I used to be better about doing this every few months because there was a place where we used to live that helped women and children who were in an abusive environment. Regardless of if I can find another place like that where we are living now, there are still so many homeless the need warm clothes in the cooler weather.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared and the quote was a nice pick-me-up for you. I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as possible. Always remember, YOU are important and YOU deserve nothing but the best in life. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Pick-Me-Up-Thursday

Happy Friday eve, y’all! I hope you have had a good week and you are looking forward to the weekend. Do you have anything planned for the weekend? I plan to try relaxing and resting because I am still a little rundown from the mini vacation for my husband’s birthday. The only thing I will ask you is, please stay safe. Several people that I work with and remember, I work from home and have not met anyone I work with personally, but I learned that several of them were diagnosed with COVID. I am unaware if they received any of the vaccines or boosters, but they did say how miserable they were feeling, and I would not want anyone to feel that way.

It does not matter who we are or what we have overcome in life, we all have bad days. When we have a bad day, it can be difficult to get over it when others are behaving negatively or unpleasantly. Yesterday, I was frustrated because of a few things that occurred when I was out, and I felt like someone was throwing me under the bus and making a mountain out of a molehill. I ended up chatting with another co-worker about the issues and told her how foolish I felt. This co-worker has become a good friend and she was able to say a few things that turned my bad day into a much brighter day. This is the reason I am sharing the quote I am today, and I hope it helps you deal with challenging days a little better😊!

We may not always be able to say the right things when communicating with others, but we can most definitely say the wrong thing that will make another person feel terrible. Our words and actions can make a HUGE difference in another person’s life, but we always want it to be for the better. There is already too much negative that occurs in the world around us, but we can do something positive. Unfortunately, we will never know the way someone else is feeling or if they are struggling and ready to give up on life. I know that none of us want to be the reason why someone does something they cannot take back!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed the two quotes that I shared, and they resonate with you, and you will turn around and share them with someone else. I have always believed it is easier to be kind, understanding, and compassionate with others as opposed to being mean and rude because that takes too much energy, and is a waste of our time. All it takes is to do or say something nice to another person and it could change their entire day for the better😊! I look forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as possible. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Inspirational Wednesday

We have survived the first part of the week with no problem, so hopefully, the second part of the week will be just as easy! Of course, I was still on “vacation” on Monday, so yesterday was my first day back at work. Thankfully, it was not too bad because my co-worker that was taking care of my work did a great job and now she is off for a few days and I am taking care of hers. Teamwork makes the dream work, right? My goodness, I never liked that saying because it is so clique and my old boss said it ALL the time! I suppose it is true though!

At the halfway part of the week, we know the weekend is near and we only have a couple of days to get through, but we could still use just a little inspiration, right? Maybe that is just me because I am still a little worn out from the mini vacation and the incredibly LONG drive. I am still hoping the quote that I am sharing with you will be inspiring and help you get through the rest of the week! Unfortunately, there is too much negativity and hate in the world where others are tearing people down and belittling others. The reason for this awful and mean behavior tends to be that someone is feeling bad about themselves and they just want others to feel just as bad as they do. This makes no sense to me because I feel we should only try to encourage, strengthen and help others. Why not try to build others up and make the world a better place?

How is your week going? Has anything exciting happened or are you just ready for the weekend? I am not sure why, but the darn MS hug has returned. The only reason I can think this is happening is due to stress and the LONG drive. Who knows why the mean and very unwelcomed MS hug comes to visit unexpectedly? I know that Multiple Sclerosis is unpredictable, but this is a very unpleasant thing to have to deal with. I would blame it on my tooth extraction, but I do not think that would be true. The only thing that I can blame on the tooth extraction is this very annoying static sound in my ears. I am hoping both of these things will go away sooner rather than later!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared and that you found the quote inspiring! I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. I know it might seem like there are too many days left in the week, but try to remember we have made it through the worst part! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Pick-Me-Up Thursday

I am not going to say happy Thursday because I prefer thinking about today as Friday eve! The weeks seem to feel much longer than normal and I cannot figure out why! The only thing that has changed is the weather is much cooler, which I do like because I do not do well when it is super HOT! The weather has been much easier to tolerate, which makes sleep better! I do feel rather lucky because one of our cats feels she MUST sleep with me all night long. The other night the poor little girl cuddle up and did not move once, which caused me to wake up with my arm dead asleep😊! After a long day dealing with people that want to complain, my cats are one of the only things that make everything better.

Yesterday, I had my second one-on-one meeting with my supervisor, which I used to dread or panic about but I do not anymore. Not only do I have one of the best supervisors I have ever had, but I also have an amazing team to work with😊. These are things that make going to work easier as we are working more than we are at home enjoying life. Of course, I do work from home, but I am meaning home doing nothing but relaxing with my sweet and loving cats!

Thankfully, we are near the end of the week, which makes the weekend MUCH closer. At this point, we can almost taste the weekend😊! Even though the weekend is so close, we do still have a little left of this week, so I think we could all use a little pick-me-up! I have been fond of this quote since I first found it because I think it is incredibly true. I have always believed that no one comes into our lives by accident and all the events that we have experienced happened for a reason, even the ones we did not enjoy or regretted. The people that have come into our lives and everything we have been through have made us as strong as we are today!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I shared and you found the quote meaningful. I do hope you are having a good week and staying calm and stress-free as much as you can. I am looking forward to reading your comments and promise to respond as quickly as possible. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
