Inspirational Wednesday!

Inspire Those That Need It The Most, Always!

Happy Wednesday y’all! We are officially halfway through the week and I hope the week is treating you well! Today is actually my birthday and unfortunately, both myself and my husband have to work. For years we always went to the beach for my birthday being today and our anniversary is tomorrow, but unfortunately because of COVID we are not able to. I am just happy that we are together and staying safe and hope y’all are as well!

As we are halfway through the week, I think we all could use a little inspiration to get us through the rest of the week. Do you think just a splash of inspiration would be helpful? I hope you will enjoy the quote I am sharing with y’all today, I found it very inspirational and of course, had to use something to do with my favorite place in the entire world, the ocean! I am looking forward to reading your amazing comments, which I promise to respond to as quickly as I can!

So how has your week been? I still can’t believe it is almost October. It seems like this year has gone by so fast. I only hope 2021 will be a better and safer year for all of us. I guess it could be the pandemic scare that has made the year gone by fast or maybe I am just getting old. Who knows, but it sure has flown by!

Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope you are having a wonderful week and you are staying safe! It is so unfortunate that COVID has caused so many issues, but at least we can do what we can to remain safe! We do not know when, but hopefully this pandemic will end someday soon! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and many positive vibes!

Always, Alyssa

Live Now & Go Slowly

Even though I know we are all wishing this wasn’t true, but we still have a few more days left of the week. Okay, who am I kidding, we have four left, but hopefully they will be great! How has your week started out? I am being honest, my week started off kind of shaky because of a horrible headache from the time I woke up until the time I went to bed.

Considering we are all dealing with some kind of stress, frustration, anger, fear, and any other emotion we may be forced deal with, we often need to find peace and quiet in a chaotic world. I am hoping the quote I am sharing with y’all today offers you peace and tranquility! I do look forward to reading your thoughts on the quote and promise to respond as quickly as I possibly can.

I hope your week has started off well and you are staying safe! Unfortunately, COVID-19 is still spreading worst that wild fire and we are need to take care of ourselves and our family. It is also important to listen to those we care about and try understanding what they are feeling and going through. We all know how complicated life can be, and adding a deadly virus to the mix when you have a weak immune system creates many additional challenges.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site today. I sincerely hope the quote that I shared provided you with positive and calmly feelings. Please know I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and many positive vibes!

~A New Fresh Week Ahead~

Happy Monday y’all! I hope you had a wonderful and safe weekend! I know it is never easy to start a new week because it still feels like it was Friday about 10 minutes ago, but this week should be great. Let’s see my week has a few different events that may be exciting. Wednesday is my birthday and getting older is never exciting. Thursday is my 9th wedding anniversary, which is exciting and makes me super happy! Before COVID-19, my husband and I always went away to my favorite place, the beach to celebrate both days. This year we are not able to do so, but spending the weekend together is what really matters!

Y’all know I think we always need a little motivation to start the week off on a good and positive note. I found the quote I am sharing with y’all beautiful and hope it provides you the motivation you need to start this week off on the right foot! I am looking forward to reading what you think of the quote I shared with y’all today and promise to respond to all comments as quickly as I can!

I think the quote that I shared with y’all today, pretty much sums up the way I feel about life in general. I believe seeing opportunities in everything in our life is a necessity for our growth. We have to continue growing. We are almost going to be beginning 2021, and I think we should be progressing with the times, which would include being more accepting and open-minded.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site today. I hope you have a great, and safe and your days only continue getting better. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and many positive vibes!

Let It Go Friday!

To Enjoy The Weekend & Let Go Of Any Negative Emotions!

Finally, happy Friday y’all! How was your week? I do hope your week has been great, and you are looking forward to a safe and great weekend! Our weekends seem to be getting shorter, and it is important to let go of any negativity the week may have exposed, so we can enjoy the short weekend. There is so much going on around the world from COVID-19 to the brutality from police officers to protesting in most US states, it is so hard to continue being positive but we must at least try.

Now that our week is coming to an end, do you have plans? I do hope whatever your plans might be you will always remain as safe as possible. If you think about it, it really isn’t that hard. We just have to practice everything experts have recommended. I know it is rather obnoxious, but it is important to do all we can!

As we are beginning our weekend and letting go of the past week, I think we may need a great quote. I do find the quote I am sharing today a nice reminder of the importance of letting go and living the best life we can! I would love to not only read how your week has been, but also what you think of the quote I shared. I hope it will help you let go of any negative emotions you may be experiencing. There does not seem to be any lack of negative in the world and we must try the best we can to not let it control us.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I do always appreciate your continued support and amazing comments! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and many positive vibes!

Pick Me Up Thursday

Happy Friday Eve!

After four days of work this week, saying Happy Thursday makes the end of the week still feel so far away. I always prefer to view Thursday as Friday eve because it makes Friday feel much closer, what do you think? So, how was your week? Honestly, mine did feel long and I am really looking forward to the weekend! I do wish the weekend would start feeling as long as the workweek, but unfortunately, they are getting much shorter!

With all the hate continuing to spread throughout the country and world, I feel we need to remember the importance of love and kindness! I truly believe all some people need is a little compassion and that might help some of their deepest wounds heal. I mean we do not even need to know what someone else is going through but should be able to realize everyone around the world is struggling in some way or another.

As our workweek begins to come to an end, I think we all could use a little pick me up to get us through one last day of this week! Even though many of us are still living through the pandemic crisis and it does cause stress to so many, we need to do the best we can to find the good in life. I am hoping the quote I am sharing with y’all today will serve you with the pick me up you may need! Of course, I found it pretty remarkable, but would really love to know what you think! I understand no single person can fix the worlds problems, but we sure can work together to at least try!

Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope y’all have a great and safe day. In the times we are in right now, the virus is a lot more serious than it was when it first made way to our countries making it crucial to do all we can to stay safe. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and many positive vibes!

Inspirational Wednesday

We are halfway through the week!

Happy Wednesday y’all! How has your week been so far? I do hope your week is going well and you are doing what you can to stay positive. We are in times right now where it can be easy to be exposed to mass amounts of negativity, but I do believe there is a way to find the positive in most situations no matter how unclear they are. I think we can offer each other strength and support!

Now that we have made it through half the week, I think a little inspiration to get through the remainder of the week. I find the quote I am sharing inspiring and encouraging because no matter what we face each day, someone else has probably been through much worse. Basically, I think no matter what we are forced to deal with, we have the strength and power to make it through!

We are heading towards the weekend and only have a few days left of this week. I don’t know about you, but I am looking forward to the weekend ahead! Unfortunately, my birthday is Wednesday and our anniversary is Thursday and we both work. However, I am hoping my husband and I will be able to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary safely from our home together over the weekend, I guess it is the new normal way to celebrate! Do y’all have any plans for the weekend? I know whatever y’all do you will be safe because you are logical and intelligent!

I would like to thank y’all for taking the time to visit my site today! I hope the quote I shared with y’all was inspiring and will help you make it through the rest of the week. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and many positive vibes!

We Should Be Free From Any Disturbing Action

Happy Tuesday y’all! I hope your week has started off well and you are feeling the best you possibly can. We all already know the world is full of chaos and hateful behavior, but we do not need to allow this to control us and we do not have to join the rest. It is okay to stand out and be different because sometimes, being different is the best way to be.

Now that we have one day of this week under our belt, we sometimes need a reminder of how tranquility can make the difference for our sanity. I find the quote I am sharing with y’all encouraging and powerful, but I hope it will bring a little tranquility into your week! I would love to know how your week is going and what you think of the quote because I always love and enjoy reading your comments!

Something that I always try to not only remember, but practice on a daily basis is being understanding and compassionate towards others. We will never know what someone else is going through until we walk a mile in their shoes. We might not understand the reasons another person acts the way they do, but shouldn’t we at least try? I think it is crucial especially when times are as difficult as they are right now to be kind, accepting, patient, tolerate, and loving to everyone.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and read what I have shared today! I hope your week is going well and you are doing what is necessary to stay safe. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and many positive vibes!

Motivational Monday

Let’s Make This Week A Great One!!

Happy Monday y’all! I hope you had a lovely and safe weekend! Y’all will be surprised, I actually left the house this weekend! I had to go to the pharmacy, which is a drive-thru, but I had to get one thing at the grocery store. I wore my mask of course, but it was so great to be there at a store! It really does feel like it was Friday 5 minutes ago. I mean, what in the world happened to the weekend? It is amazing how fast the weekend flies by and yet the week goes so slow. I guess all we can do is, go into this week with a positive mindset and hope for the best!

While we might not be ready for a new week to begin, it is here regardless of how we feel about it. My hope is the quote I am sharing with y’all today will provide you the motivation needed to start the week off with a smile and that your week will only continue getting better! I firmly believe that the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a remarkable lady and strong as one can be, which is why I wanted to use her quote today!

As we start this week, please let us try to remain optimistic and compassionate towards others. If you are not familiar with who Ruth Bader Ginsburg was, I encourage you to read a little about what this amazing and courageous women accomplished in her life. If anyone can inspire and encourage us today and any other day, I do feel it would be her!

Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope you have a great week and you will continue to remain safe. I am looking forward to reading your comments on this post and I will respond as quickly as I possibly can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and many positive vibes!

September Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month

Spread Love & Not Hate

I have said it before, but I will say it again, life is anything but easy. Currently, we are under trying times and it has been painfully difficult for many months now. NO, COVID-19 has not gone away or anywhere close to it as the president claimed it would. With times being extremely difficult for every single person around the world, I think it is very important to bring some attention to something heartbreaking for many people. September is “Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month”

Suicide is not something that is discussed often because many people do not what they can or should say. Unfortunately, this is something that will impact families and friends long after the tragic loss of their loved ones. Those that are left behind will have to go through the rest of their lives wondering what they could have done differently, but the answers will vary between each person.

I am going to be sharing some very chilling, melancholy, and distressing information regarding this very delicate topic. Over 44,000 Americans each year take their own lives by committing suicide. With that being said, on average on person commits suicide every 16.2 minutes. Due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, there has already been a serious escalation in the number of suicides.

Sadly to say, suicide is the 4th leading cause of death in people between the ages of 18 and 65. Another incredibly sad and heart-wrenching statistic is for every death by suicide, there are approximately 25 suicide attempts. Men are four times more at risk than women to commit suicide and their most common way to do so is by use of firearms. The suicide rate for men is highest in those that are 75 and older. Men that are battling with substance usage are two to three times more likely to attempt suicide.

Unfortunately, more teens die by suicide than cancer, the flu, and AIDS combined. It is the 2nd leading cause of death in people between the age of 10 and 34. It is thought that 80% of teens who die by suicide showed some warning signs before taking their life, but some can keep their thoughts, pain, and plans hidden very well. That being said, 90% of teens who die by suicide have some type of mental health issue or issues.

While it is 2020 and we should be more evolved and accepting by now, but regrettably many are still not. LGBTQIA youth have four times greater of a chance to attempting suicide than other young people. Also, LGBTQIA individuals with unaccepting families are eight times more likely to attempt suicide than those that have more accepting, evolved, and understanding families.

It may not be easy or even always clear, but some warning signs could be alarming, urgent, and possibly a cry for help. The signs include, but are not limited to:

1.Talking about wanting to die

2 Searching or looking for a way to kill one’s self

3.Talking about not having any reason to live

4.Giving away valuable/prized possessions

5.Acting or displaying new anxiousness or agitation

6.Talking about being in unbearable pain

7.Sleeping too little or too much

8.Withdrawing or becoming isolated

9.Increased use of alcohol and or drugs

10.Showing rage and or seeking revenge

11.Displaying extreme mood swings

12.Talking about being a burden to others

13.Exhibiting new daring or risk-taking behaviors

14.Showing a lack of interest for any plans for the future

Helping someone with suicidal thoughts can be challenging and painful, but it may be possible that you could save their life. Several things have been suggested by professionals, which include the following:

Ask: It is completely natural to feel fear when doing this, but do not ever hesitate to come out and ASK the person if they think about dying or killing themselves. By simply asking them, know you are not putting the thoughts in their mind and it will not make them any more likely to attempt suicide.

Listen: Try starting a conversation with the person and just be an ear to LISTEN without passing any judgments. You need to only show that you care and are there for them. Produce a safe space for them to share their feelings and vent freely. One thing that will be important, do not swear to secrecy because, with this type of situation, you might not be able to.

Stay: Once you have started a conversation with the person and they have opened up to you, do not leave that person alone. Make sure you STAY with them or at least make sure they are in a private and secure space with another trustworthy and caring person until you can get further assistance and guidance.

Secure: If you have reason to believe or suspect the person may harm themselves, take them seriously. Be sure you REMOVE any, and all objects that could be used in a suicide attempt.

Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255 and follow their guidance!

***CALL 911 if self-harm seems like an immediate need***

Many years ago, I worked at a children’s hospital. During my years at the children’s hospital, I worked with numerous children that attempted suicide. I would take the time to talk with the child and give them a chance to talk openly about what was causing them the troubles. Of course, I was not a nurse, therapist, or physician and was only a nursing assistant who could show compassion to a troubled teenager. Normally, I was the person that would ride with the child from the hospital to the mental health facility because it was required by law and I wanted to be there for the child. It was difficult listening to the child’s painful stories, but I was able to offer them some friendly and nonjudgmental advice. Some of these children were abused by a relative, others had a recent break-up, and others were troubled by bullies. Often times, children do not feel like they can open up to their parents and have no one they can trust to talk to, which is extremely sad. Children have a hopefully long and great life ahead of them and need role models and people they can trust. These young people are the future and should be encouraged instead of degraded and harmed.

I had a friend in high school that had a tragic and difficult life. She was able to open up to me about some of it and I had firsthand experience with much of what she said. This friend did have her first child our last year in high school, but she remained strong during this. Many years later after her husband and father of her children was murdered, one of her children committed suicide. I know this haunts her to this day and that breaks my heart. I wish I had been able to be there for her during these times, but I was already living 900 miles away and was only able to offer her support through messages and phone calls.

Typically, my posts are a lot more positive and uplifting than this one, but all the information in this post is crucial and needed to be shared. I am so sorry if this is something any of you have experienced and hope your heart is healing from the sadness and that you will be able to help another that goes through something as awful as losing a loved on to suicide. Times around the world are the hardest they have been in decades so now is a time to pay close attention to people that we care about. I believe we all need to stand together and support one another during these troubling times because it is the only way we will make it through with any sanity we have left.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you are doing well, your weekend has been going well and you are staying safe. Y’all already know that I am a very sensitive person, so you will not be surprised that this subject hurts my heart. This is a time we need to support others and spread love and not hate! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and many positive vibes!

Let It Go Friday!

It’s time to let go of negative emotions from the week & enjoy the weekend!

Happy Friday y’all! We finally made it through the week and I hope you had a wonderful week! Do you have anything planned for the weekend? I know that any plans you may have, y’all will stay safe, right? I know this will come as a surprise to y’all, so brace yourself, I have nothing planned at all. I know you must think I just live a boring life, but truthfully, this is what I prefer because of my intense fears of COVID-19.

As this week finally comes to an end and with so much going on around the world that may cause some stress and or negative feelings, I think today is the perfect day to attempt to let those emotions go to hopefully enjoy the short weekend. The weeks are so long and the weekends seem to get shorter, we need to be able to enjoy it as much as we possibly can. I am hoping you will find the quote I am sharing with y’all today encouraging and it helps you let go of any negative feelings you may be carrying with you.

It breaks my heart anytime I hear the news because there are so many awful things going on and not just with the virus. I have never understood why there is so much hate that is only building throughout the country. In my eyes, we are all simply imperfect human-beings with a heart and feelings. It does not matter how much money you have in the bank, the house you live in, the clothes you wear, cars you drive, or anything else because what matters is the way you treat others. I feel pretty confident that y’all agree with me on this, but please let me know what you think.

Thank you for visiting my site today. As always, I appreciate you taking the time to read what I have shared and I also love reading your comments, which I will respond to as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and many positive vibes!

Always, Alyssa
