Living life with a chronic illness is definitely not easy. But I do my best to push through all the barriers this illness puts in front of me! In my heart and mind, I believe maintaining a positive outlook on all situations in life will carry us through to much better times! I hope you find the information that I provide both helpful and inspirational!
Since starting my blog on July 17, 2017 with 3 fantastic supporters my husband, mother and mother in-law, I have had the opportunity to get to know so many incredible people all over the world. My goal for starting my blog was to raise the awareness about Multiple Sclerosis and I really wanted to help others battling Multiple Sclerosis and other chronic illnesses by offering support and endless encouragement. We all know that our daily lives are not easy with random symptoms that appear with and without warning, taking various medications, going to countless doctors’ appointments, being confronted with numerous challenges, being forced to accept innumerable changes to our lives daily, even hourly and so much more! It is never easy finding others that truly understand what our lives are like. By creating this blog, I have been able to learn from so many others that live with Multiple Sclerosis and other chronic illnesses affecting their daily life how they find the strength and courage to keep moving forward!
In our society today, I think it can be really difficult to be “different” from everyone else. I do not believe being different should be frowned upon, but it should we should all be proud of our differences no matter what they may be. Whether our illness is visible by the way we walk or talk, or invisible it can be challenging. Some people have been forced to leave their career as it became too much to handle. Some people have even been forced out of their career because people have lost their ability to have compassion and empathy for others. That just is not right to cause anyone unnecessary stress and shame!
I am so excited and honored to be able to share this with you! As I said when I started my blog in July 2017, I had 3 followers and that was great. Now 10 months later I am fortunate enough to have more than 800 amazing followers that I am able to get to know! The individuals I have met through this blog have been absolutely amazing! I would say that starting my blog was one of the best decisions I have ever made as it has brought me so much joy! The numerous extraordinary people I have been able to make strong connections and friendships with has been beyond incredible! All of us know what it is like to live with a chronic and incurable illness so we are able to offer support and encouragement to each other! Y’all have truly been a blessing in my life and I am thankful for each and every one of you!
I really want to thank all of you for continuing to follow my blog and making incredibly inspiring comments. Through the comments you make on my site and the communications we have on your own site, I feel like I have made so many lifelong friends! Let me just say once again, thank y’all for your support, encouragement, great advice and never judging my crazy moments, because I do tend to have them! I hope y’all are having a fantastic week and I hope y’all are feeling well! As always, I am sending y’all LOTS of love and comfort!
Good morning Y’all! It may not be where you are living, but so far where I live it has been a rainy week with no end in sight. I thought a happy thought this morning would make y’all smile, even it is just for a momen that is worth it for me. I want y’all to have happy days!
Y’all already know that I have been experiencing a lot of pain for over a week now, so you know the rain is not going to help that at all! I will hold onto my hopes for some pretty sunny days in my future! I think that sunshine brings so much happiness to our lives and it gives us all some natural Vitamin D which is good for our health!
I know I have already asked you this before, but I am needing your amazing advice please! Do any of you know of any good leg stretches that may help my leg issues? I am willing to try just about anything in order to get some kind of relief!
I hope y’all have a wonderful day and hope you are feeling great! As always I am sending y’all LOTS of love and comfort!
Good evening Y’all! I hope you had a great start to the week! Monday is never the most exciting day of the week, but they keep coming no matter if we are ready or not! I try to view Monday as a fresh start to a new week that holds many new opportunities. Any goals that may not have been accomplished last week, we can try again this week! I believe in never giving up on something we truly want! It is important to set goals, but also not stress much about them as that is not healthy. What ever is not accomplished today, try again tomorrow!
I strongly believe in staying positive as much as possible. A negative frame of mind will never help us achieve anything we strive towards. If we approach everything in life with an optimistic mind, we can conquer anything and everything we dream of. When you think about what your goals are for this week, what are they? These goals do not need to be anything huge, they can be as little as wanting to get a manicure and pedicure, which is what my minor goal for the week is! You might be the type of person that is always taking care of everyone else, but tend to neglect the simple pleasures in life you enjoy. Have you ever wondered why do we do that? It is extremely important to take care of ourselves or we will never be well enough to do all the other things we do in life.
We always hear how short life is, but sometimes it feels very long! It is so important to do the things that bring us joy and a lot of happiness. Have you ever really thought about what brings you the most happiness in life? I think we should all set a simple goal for ourselves this week and that is to do something that makes us truly happy! There is SO much negativity every time you turn on the news, so lets pretend for a moment it is not happening. Let’s not worry about all the bad that is going on and all the bad that could happen and just think happy thoughts! This is what I call my little bubble!
Thank y’all for visiting my site today and I am looking forward to reading your comments. I always respond to all comments just as quickly as I can! I love the communications we all have! I hope y’all have a great and relaxing evening! I am always sending y’all lots of love and comfort!
It may seem that happiness is an unattainable goal in life and that it is only meant for the selected lucky few. Happiness is a state of mind that is not necessarily chosen or ignored, but is sought-after and fought for. When faced with an unbearable and powerless situation it is so much easier to just give up and suppress our desires to excel. It sometimes takes more energy to succeed and far less energy to fail ourselves. Life can be so darn complicated and it may become hard to see the bright side of any given situation, but there is one!
I have always held onto something my grandfather said to me a long time ago, “There is always someone going through something worse than you are in life.” I still do find this to be valuable and very wise information and would never really question anything he had said to me because of how much respect I had for him. But at the same time, how can you really judge what situation is worse in life for anyone? Everyone deals with their troubles in different ways and have their own views on the level of hardships. Is there any comparison in what I live with daily and what someone else with another chronic illness battles? Is my pain any less of a struggle than someone with other pain issues? I think it is all in the perspective of the one living with that struggle. I mean think about a person that was just diagnosed with incurable cancer. They have to deal with chemotherapy and so many other decisions, but they do their best to handle that situation the best they possibly can. Or even someone who has already been dealing with Multiple Sclerosis goes to the doctor for an update and is told their illness has progressed from Relapsing-Remitting MS to Secondary-Progressive MS, they have to adjust their mindset in life. Of course these situations are never easy and anyone would go through a vast amount of different emotions, but they do it! Life does not end or allow you to pause it when you are faced with an illness of any kind, you just are required to continue living the best way you can.
We are all supposed to find ways to cope with the life we were given and there is not a rewind or reset button available. Mistakes are inevitable, but we all must learn from our mistakes and carry on with a new outlook on life! We acknowledge what mistakes have been made, grieve what has been done and lost, set a game plan for moving forward, learn from what has taken place and move on with strength and determination for our future. I believe all of our mistakes made empower us to become even better than we were before. They build our character to be more enlightened and be able to see the bigger picture. We are all just perfectly imperfect humans with the knowledge of what was learned throughout our lives! If we just give up because we failed once in life, we are missing out on all the great things life will offer us!
Our lives are sometimes like a dance. Sometimes we might have our toes stepped on, but sometimes it will be a beautiful piece of work. There may be new and difficult moves to conquer and perform, but over time we will learn to be graceful and almost flawless. It takes determination to learn all the different dances involved in life, but it will end up being something we are incredibly proud of!
I hope y’all are having a nice and relaxing weekend! I know the weather where I am has been chilly and there is a constant threat of rain which is never very enjoyable, however I am doing what I can to just enjoy the days away from work! I even treated myself to getting my hair trimmed today. It had been a long time since taking care of my hair and it was a wonderful feeling! I am able to relate to my hairdresser’s thought process, which is always great! I like being around people who are down to earth and just very real with their thoughts. It is not so fun being around people that have a fake demeanor because you are always playing a guessing game about what is actually sincere or deceitful! I hope y’all are feeling well and getting the rest you deserve! I appreciate you stopping by my site today and really look forward to any comments you may have, I promise to respond as quickly as I can! As always I am sending y’all lots of love and comfort!!
