Opinion overload

Politics has been and always will remain a HOT topic. Political conversations can fuel passionate discussions that can lead to vehemently fierce arguments. Disagreements involving politics have destroyed and dismantled relationships of all types. I do understand that everyone has an opinion, which is their right, but I do not think it should create as much hostility and friction as it does. Unfortunately, the truth is none of us have any control over what happens in the political world. I may not be correct, but I do believe the only consistency with most politicians is they all have a difficult time understanding what the truth means.

Many people have their views and thoughts on certain topics engrained in them. I do not mean these thoughts were built into them from birth because as we grow, we determine our world views. My personal views on many of the HOT topics, we have all been told not to discuss with family and friends are very different from my mother who raised me. Honestly, the reason for my political views is that I am a true believer in equality, and I do not judge people based on anything besides their treatment of others.

November is the mid-term election, so there is a lot of talk going on regarding this now. The one that is standing out in my mind currently is the candidates in Georgia. The person that is running for the US Senator on the Republican side, Herschel Walker, makes my blood boil. The things that have come out of his mouth have been clean and bald-faced lies and he is against everything that I believe in. I do not understand how a so-called “man” that has paid for a woman to have an abortion can now be against it, even in cases of rape and incest. The man is a hypocrite and a disgrace to humanity.

Most of the politicians in the United States after from a much older generation and are stuck in the past. They have not evolved to the level the country requires. Once these politicians get to a certain again, they should be forced to retire and allow the younger generation an opportunity. Of course, certain people are still in office as senators or governors that I strongly dislike because their views are still from another time, and I think they are not only disrespectful but extremely offensive. The United States is “supposed” to be a free and welcoming place, but in my opinion, is anything but what it “claims” to stand for.

It breaks my heart to see on the news the constant and unnecessary violence. There is NO logical or rational reason for people to fear going to public places because of random shootings. I was ignorant of the level of hatred in the country I live in for most of my life, but now I see that it has always been an issue. It seems like the problems we are suffering from have a band-aid put on them, but they are just a temporary fix and NOT an actual solution.

Situations regarding abortion and gay marriage are topics that enrage me. The abortion law was put into place 50 years ago and it made sense. This gave a woman the right to her body without a government dictating what was allowed. Of course, this law was overturned this year and was the WRONG decision. I strongly believe that it is a woman’s body, and no one has a right to decide what happens in her body. Even though people allow their religious views to influence how they feel about abortion, that should not force a victim of rape to have to carry a reminder of the worst day of their life for nine months.

Gay marriage became legal in 2015. This is not causing anyone any harm and is simply about love between two people. Just because we do not understand, or something makes someone uncomfortable does not mean it should not be allowed. Love is love and not something criminal. I do believe people are either born gay or not and it is not something they wake up one morning and decide to be.

It seems that the world is on opinion overload, and many do not try to understand the way others think. We do not have to agree with others on everything, but we do need to be respectful of their thoughts. If you know you disagree with another person on something, it is best to evade that topic and avoid unnecessary arguments. We already know that people have strong opinions on topics such as politics, religion, abortion, and sexual preferences, so these should be avoided at all costs.

Thank goodness it is Saturday, and we can rest or do whatever else we choose. How was your week? For some reason, last week felt insanely long and I was exhausted by the end of the day yesterday. When I look at what a complete and total disgrace the county I live in has become, it breaks my heart and rocks my faith in humanity to the core! I often wonder if all the CiqV8N0XAAAVhK8destruction we see daily was built from pure evil, hatred and greed or is there something I am missing? When I look up to the sky it makes me just want to seize everyday on this earth because we only have one shot to make things right. Unfortunately, we are not able to rewind, fast-forward or pause in our lives, it’s all in real-time! I firmly believe that we all should live each day as if it were our last because we never know what could happen.

Calming Sunday!

happy sundayGood evening y’all! I hope your weekend has been very pleasant and enjoyable! Considering I am still feeling so much pain and fatigue, I literally have done NOTHING today! Doing absolutely nothing for one entire day has been both calming to my out of control nerves and peaceful! I can not believe I have missed out on this feeling for so many years! I am always one who wants to be on the constant move no matter how I am feeling, partially because when I am still, I feel pain a lot more!. Doing things around the house, organizing my week ahead and ensuring that everything that needs to be completed is done by the end of the day on Sunday has always been the way my weekends flow. It sounds SO crazy when I think about that a little deeper because things will always get taken care of when they are meant to, so why rush things along?

I think everyone is already very well aware that I am very disturbed by how the United States has been behaving lately. I feel strongly that the behavior of those in charge is setting a very BAD impression and example for all Americans, as some of us do still struggles and frustrationsbelieve in EQUALITY and LOVE❤! Of course there are still some Americans that blindly follow those in charge, which is sad and unfortunate! I find it extremely hard to relate to anyone that does not see what is really happening in this country! I am sorry if anyone finds this statement offensive, but it is how I feel everyday of my life. I have and always will see everyone as just human with no other judgement! I do not appreciate being constantly lied to from those in power of the country I live in because I feel that honesty is the best and only way to live!

I want to apologize for the slight tangent I went off on. I try to stay hopeful that things are going to get better and not any worse, but there is no guarantees with those making the decisions that inflict damage on our lives daily! Currently I feel that I am living in a your patienceconstant state of fear that I am going to end up losing health insurance because I have a pre-existing condition that I never choose to live with. I do not feel that I should be punished for living with a chronic illness, as that alone is punishment enough, so for our government to decide I may not qualify for insurance is absurd! This has not happened yet, but I do think it is in the works! Hell I think I already pay WAY too much for insurance! But it is scary for me  to think that Trump could easily have a bad day and have a temper tantrum that will eliminate healthcare for those with chronic illness!

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting my site today! I do encourage your amazing comments and promise I will response as quickly as I possibly can! I know some of what I have written is a lot different that what I normally write about, but my frustrations have been elevating drastically each day and every day I hear of what is going on in the United States. Trying to find the positive in what is going on is difficult, but I am sure it is there somewhere! I hope you have a lovely and relaxing evening! Please never forget that I am always sending you LOTS of love❤ and comfort!

** I forgot to ask y’all! Do any of you have Facebook as well? As of August 1st, all my blog post do not link to Facebook any longer and I kind of want them to still link to Facebook. Do you by chance know what I need to do, so I do not have to continue posting to Facebook manually?**

Dismiss the judgments and embrace compassion!

Good afternoonGood afternoon y’all! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful Saturday! Of course it is insanely hot where I live today, but I have learned to accept it because that is the way it will be for the next several months.

So much is going on in the world and it has really affected me emotionally. Life can be viewed as short or even painfully long at times! But, however we view life, why waste any of our precious time passing judgments on others? I do believe too many people judge a book by its cover and fail to see the bigger beautiful picture that each individual is in their own unique way.

I do feel that it is extremely important to always treat others the same way we would likeBe kind to be treated! I do not have any room in my life for hateful and judgmental people. It seems like there are far too many out there that do not view things the same way I do and that is incredibly unfortunate. I am not saying that everyone should follow everything that I do because I am not perfect in any way, but I do feel that we should all try to spread as much love and compassion as we can! I know y’all already do an amazing job with this, but there love is absenseare still so many others that do not!

When I look at the way the country I live in is behaving, it is very troubling to me. It seems that some think it is perfectly acceptable to use innocent children as a bargaining tool, which in my opinion is anything but acceptable! Anyone that has children or use to be a child, which we all were at some point, should not think it is acceptable to use children like they are pawns on a chessboard. It is just incredibly disturbing to me. There are children being taken from their parents and put into cages like animals. These parents and children that are being tormented did not ask for this treatment and definitely DO NOT DESERVE IT!

I will never understand why some people will continue mistreat others just because of the color of their skin, sexual preference, religious beliefs or any other thing that may too many criticsdiffer from them. It is 2018 and we should all be evolving instead some are devolving at an incredible fast pace. We are all entitled to our own opinions, but everyone is also entitled to never have to fear being ostracized for being who they are. I know it is probably obviously, but I strongly believe everyone should be treated equally and with respect.

Thank you for stopping by my site today and reading how passionate I truly am about equality for all❤. I am sorry to go off a rant about how horrible people are treated in the United States, but it is something that I feel is not right in any way! We all have our own opinions and it is perfectly fine if you disagree with anything that I have written. I do look forward to any comments you may have and I will respond as quickly as I possibly can. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I hope you are feeling well! As always I am sending y’all LOTS of❤ love and comfort!

Hot Topics!

177073-Beautiful-SundayI hope y’all have had a wonderful weekend! It is always so amazing how fast it goes by and then we have another 5 very long days we have to be at work! I guess it is kind of a blessing in disguise because at least we have another chance to make our week great!

I am sure everyone already knows this, but there are some topics you should never talk with family or friends about! Most of us have our own very passionate beliefs regarding politics and religion that probably do not match up with everyone. It is okay that we all have our own thoughts about these topics, but arguing about them will never solve the issues and you will never be able to change someone else’s mind! Never in my life have I ever been a political person, but I do have my strong opinions on the topic that are not influenced by anyone but myself!

Another hot topic that should be avoided with family and friends is same-sex marriage! I am one who believes very strongly that we are entitled to love whom ever we choose Love no boundariesand therefore should be able to marry whom ever we love! Same sex marriage does not harm anyone, but talking ill of this in a “free country” will ultimately harm others. Why does it seem that so many are only okay if you marry someone of the same color, religious following, same ethnicity, but it must be the opposite sex? Who has a right to say who you should or should not love?

As y’all can probably tell, there are some things I am extremely passionate about and feel very comfortable sharing my thoughts! I think we should all feel comfortable with who we are and never feel any shame about it! I believe very indomitably that we should feel free with our beliefs! I will not get into how I feel about politics though only because that is probably a more intense conversation!

I want to thank y’all for visiting my site today and reading my semi rant! I get so frustrated with the negative thoughts surrounding these topics and will never When-you-look-at-your-enemy-in-the-face-and-all-you-feel-is-love-then-you-have-achieved-acceptance.-Joan-Ambuunderstand the hostility with certain things! Sometimes facts are facts and can not be changed, no matter what you do or say. I really feel that if there was more love and acceptance around us, instead of hatred and judgement, the world would be so much happier! I did not mean to go all pageant queen with that statement wanting world peace, but it would be really nice if we could all just get along!

I hope you have  a wonderful evening! Remember to always stay positive because it will pay off! Please feel free to leave a comment and I will respond as quickly as I can! I would really love to hear your thoughts! Sending you love and comfort always!

Martin Luther King

MLKMartin Luther King Jr was an incredibly influential man, who dedicated his life to fight for equality. He was born January 15, 1929 in Atlanta Georgia into a home of strong religious beliefs. His father, Martin Luther King Sr’s birth name was actually Michael King Sr but he adopted the name, Martin Luther King in honor of German Protestant religious leader, Martin Luther. In 1931, he stepped into the role as Pastor of Ebenzer Baptist Church after his father in law passed away.

Even during his youth Martin Luther King was a brilliant man. While attending Booker T. Washington High School, he skipped both the 9th and 11th grades. At age 15 he entered Morehead College in Atlanta, GA, where against his father’s wishes choose not to study ministry because at the time he was questioning religion in general. In all honesty, I can understand why he would question religion. The treatment of African-Americans was so unjust and unfair how could anyone believe in what religion is supposed to be about? Somehow during his junior year in college his faith in religion was renewed and hemartin-luther-king-jr-6 wanted to have a career in Ministry. In 1948 he earned his Sociology degree and decided to continue his education at Liberal Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester, PA. I was not surprised to learn that he graduated as the Valedictorian and was elected as Student Body President in 1951. Upon graduating from Liberal Crozer Theological Seminary, he was accepted at several colleges for doctoral studies and enrolled at Boston University. King earned his PhD at a young age of 25.

From deciding the road of Ministry, to his final speech “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” on April 3, 1968, Martin Luther King made an enormous difference in the world. He dedicated his life to equality that should have continued to be upheld through the years but unfortunately seems to have diminished rapidly. How many people today would organize peaceful protests that would help humanity? In 2018, 63 years after King Stick with Loveorganized the Montgomery Bus Boycott, how many people would stand up for their beliefs in the harmonious way he did then? I feel that all these years later, anytime there is a protest it ends up being a riot and there is an incredible amount of unnecessary violence. Why have we not evolved into more loving individuals?

King wanted nothing more than to have peaceful changes amongst the treatment for African-American. I am a strong supporter of equal rights for everyone because we are all human beings with feelings and it does not matter the color of your skin, love choices, religious or political beliefs. On August 28, 1963 King and his supporters organized their plans for a monumental demonstration on the nation’s capital. The March on Washington drew in more than 200,000 people all wanting amicable changes. It was during this demonstration when King made one of his famous speeches, “I Have AI have a dream Dream.” 55 years later it almost seems that so many have forgotten the very powerful words that were made during that speech. What happened to having a dream of fairness and justice?

It was due to King’s relentless efforts that the Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964. The act authorized the federal government to enforce desegregation of public accommodations and outlawed discrimination in publicly owned facilities. During that same year, King was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize Award for his refusal to accept racial prejudice in America.

Sadly, Dr. King was assassinated April 4, 1968 while standing on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis TN. The day before his death, he made his final speech, “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop.” Dr. King motivated so many Americans to stand up not only for their rights but their beliefs. Are there many people today actually motivating society? Is it really too hard to embrace and value others for who they are? I believe that ethics has vanished from the world and it is really sad. Dr. King was just a man who made life altering changes for the world. I only wish that in 2018 we could remember Inspiring-Martin-Luther-King-Jr.-quotes-Keep-Movingand honor him for all he did for Americans and not disgrace his memory, values and strength.

Much of my post for today was to teach you more about Martin Luther King but also to share just how passionate I am for respecting and caring everyone. It only takes one person with a belief to make incredible changes. Always stand strong to how you feel and never allow anyone to discourage you. What would have happened if Martin Luther King allowed someone to demoralize his beliefs? He never lost his spirit during all his battles and cruelty that was inflicted on him.MLK Keep the Dream

I hope y’all enjoyed this post today. I encourage your comments because I would truly love to hear your thoughts. I hope the rest of your day goes well and you have a very peaceful and restful evening! Sending love and comfort to you everyday!
