Motivational Monday

Happy Monday y’all! I hope you had a nice and safe weekend, and you are ready for this new week to start. Unfortunately, whether we are ready or not this week is starting and we have to make the most of it. Truthfully, I am thankful the weekend is over because it was not an easy weekend. Our poor little boy, Sundance, was not feeling well again and I ended up taking him to the emergency vet. The doctor at the emergency vet said his breathing and other vitals were all good, but he does seem to have an irritated stomach. We were sent home with medication and I hope he will start feeling better soon, but I am going to be calling his normal doctor this morning.

Now that we are beginning this week, we need to try doing so with a positive and motivated mindset. My hope is the quote I am sharing with y’all today will provide this to you and help your week begin the best way you possibly can! I would love the chance to read your comments about this quote and I will respond as quickly as I possibly can! I like this quote for many reasons, but one reason is we should all understand the only thing we can change is the ways we react and deal with situations, and we cannot change how others do the same. Once we change things inside us, everything around us will change in a positive way!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed this quote and it offered you the motivation needed to begin this new week. I hope you have a great day and your week only improves with each day that goes on. I also wanted to say that I will be working on a post this week for a Blogger Recognition Award given by Caz at I do promise to do this during this week, Caz, and thank you again for this, you are a pretty amazing person and I am thankful to call you a friend! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Always, Alyssa

Fellow Blogger Recognition!

huge shout outGood morning y’all! I hope your week has started off well and of course I hope you are feeling the best you possibly can! I would like to pick back up with recognizing fellow bloggers that I truly find amazing. The ones I have already mentioned, I hope you have been able to visit their sites as I am sure you will enjoy as much as I have!

The spectacular lady I want to bring attention to today is Angela at Angela lives with Multiple Sclerosis in Canada. This courageous woman has been through her fair share of struggles that would have discouraged most people, but Angela continues fighting a good fight with so much strength and determination!

Now, living with any chronic illness is a struggle in a country, like the United States for instance, thatyou are incredible doesn’t offer “free healthcare” and instead charges SO much money for it and still doesn’t cover everything, but it is still very demanding in a country that does offer free healthcare, like Canada. Angela went through hell and back with her employer, which is a real shame! I mean, it is hard enough to deal with MS day in and day out, but to also have to battle with an employer that has absolutely NO compassion or understanding makes it even more difficult. It really seems that when others do not understand an illness, they just fear the unknown and don’t care to learn more about it. I call this behavior pure ignorance, but I am sure most of us have dealt with this at some point in our life. I actually feel sorry for them because there isn’t any help to cure this horrible behavior.

sending lots of loveWith the hard times I have faced over time, I always find the honesty Angela shares very uplifting and inspiring. Angela is one of the most real and kind people I am ❤ honored enough to call a friend, 😊even though we spell things slightly different!😊 Just kidding Angela! I do remember a few months ago when I made a relatively negative, but honest post  because I was dealing with some terrible MS issues. Angela ❤ was kind enough to email me directly just to check on me. This was so touching and actually restored my diminished hope in humanity.

I strongly urge you to, if you have not already visited Angela site to never-let-a-stumble.jpgcheck her out! I think once you do, you will see how creative, talented and truly encouraging she is, there will NEVER be a day you will regret it! The amount of understanding Angela has is pretty amazing! I have and always will appreciate Angela for the woman she is! Angela,  I am ❤ thankful for the friendship we have created and hope you will never forget that I am always here for you❤!

imagesI would like to thank y’all for visiting my site today. I hope you have a lovely day today! I do look forward to reading your comments and do promise to respond as quickly as I can! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love ❤, comfort and many positive vibes!

Midweek Recognition!

Happy WednesdayHappy Wednesday y’all! I hope your week is going great so far and you are feeling the absolute best you possibly can. I am sorry because I am a little behind on most everything right now because I have been feeling a little under the weather. I am not sure if I am feeling so awful because I have a cold or it is probably even more likely it’s the massive amount of stress I am feeling right now, Who knows?

As y’all already know I have many fellow bloggers I admire that A-garden-visitordeserve much recognition. I wanted to share each one of them with you so if you haven’t been able to visit their site, maybe you can soon!

The amazing blogger I want to share with you today is very humble and more than likely will not agree with my views, but I am leaving it up to you to determine who is right! Of course I do think you will agree with me that Beth, at, is brilliant and her honesty is astonishing.

Without even trying, Beth offers me SO much hope, strength and encouragement. Beth was 1bd08e94a39f2f317ac499110972374bdiagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in December of 2015 and continues to fight a good fight daily. Through the words she is able to share regarding her thoughts and experiences related to this unpredictable illness (MS), disease modifying treatments (DMT), Physical Therapy (PT) and Occupational Therapy (OT) you can feel her determination! I do think it is the combination of her sass and pure determination she can get through any situation life throws her way.

Beth is a lot like myself, as we both do not like to cry in front of don't let your illness define youothers. This doesn’t have anything to do with viewing crying as a sign weakness, but everything to do with not wanting to add any additional stress to our families. Beth always inspires me with her kindness, ability to care, never-ending amount of understanding and her killer sarcastic personality!

I know I have already thanked Beth many times before and told her how amazing and encouraging I find her to be, but just in case she has forgotten, “THANK YOU Beth for being your incredible self!” Please never lose that fight within you!sending lots of love

I wanted to thank y’all for stopping by my site today. Each and every one of you have been so fantastic to me during my entire time within the blogging community, especially lately as I have been struggling. Your love and encouraging words are appreciated more than words can even begin to say!

I do hope if you haven’t already been able to visit Beth’s site, you will try stopping by when you have a few extra minutes. Without a shadow imagesof a doubt, I think you will enjoy reading every words of Beth’s posts and find her to be extremely strong and motivating!

I do look forward to reading your thoughts about this post and I do promise to respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of       ❤ love, comfort and many positive vibes!

  1. Thank the Blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  2. Write a post to show your Award.
  3. Give a brief story of how your blog started.
  4. Give two pieces of advice to New Bloggers
  5. Select 15 or more bloggers for this award.
  6. Let each Nominee know you’ve nominated them and leave a link to your post.

🌸This is my brief story of how and why Is started my blog!🌸

I started my blog in July 2017 for several reasons, but the main reason was to be able to raise awareness about Multiple Sclerosis. I have been fighting this illness since I was only 19 years old and I am about to turn 37. It has been a difficult 18 year journey for me because even though I have come across many people now that also battle this illness, back then I only knew one person and her illness had progressed greatly. When I was first diagnosed, I did not want to share or even admit the news to anyone because I felt way too much shame. Being older and wiser now, I do not have any shame about my illness and now I This-is-my-story-logo-1024x878am open to talk about it. I want to have a chance to encourage others that are battling a chronic illness or illnesses because I know just how easy it can be to become depressed, discouraged, frustrated and want to throw in the towel. My goal is to help others realize that just because we have a chronic illness, that illness does not define who we are and it certainly does not mean there is no hope for the future!

Another reason why I started my blog is because I have a very strong passion for writing. I have wanted to write a book or even articles for a publishing company since I was a younger. In my mind I thought that if I started a blog I would be able to build my strengths and knowledge with writing skills and become a much better writer.

My blog has given me the opportunity to build my writing skills and help others that have fallen on hard times; both of these mean so much to me.  I feel that there is way too much negativity in the world today and I am determined to spread as much positivity as I can. Maybe one voice can bring some happiness to another and then there can be a chain reaction!

🌻The two pieces of advice I would give any new blogger is:🌻My Advice for New Bloggers

While I have only been blogging for a little over a year now, I feel that I have learned so much from fellow bloggers that have helped me along the way!

  1. One very important piece of advice I have for any new blogger is, build a connection with other bloggers by reading other bloggers posts and make comments. Making comments helps build a solid relationship that in time will become incredibly valuable. I have also found how helpful it is to follow fellow bloggers that share you share a common interest in.
  2. The second piece of advice I would give is when doing your own posts utilize pictures, people enjoy pictures! Writing a post that isn’t too long and shows pictures draws others in. I feel that not many people want to read a book with posts, but at the same time details are important if that makes any sense!

My NomineesMy Nominees are:

I know the rules state to nominate 15 fellow bloggers, but I am going to break that rule slightly okay completely! I guess I want nominate anyone that reads this award acceptance and wants to participate! I know how busy life can get for everyone and I do not want to add any additional stress to any of my lovely fellow bloggers, so I want to leave this award open to all of my blogging friends because all of you are so incredible! I would love to hear why everyone started their blog and the answers to the questions. Please if y’all have the time to participate, I will be excited to read your post!

Thank you for stopping by my site today and I really hope you enjoyed reading! I am looking forward to reading your comments and hopefully y’all will decide to participate in this award nomination, I think your answers will be great to read!
