Living life with a chronic illness is definitely not easy. But I do my best to push through all the barriers this illness puts in front of me! In my heart and mind, I believe maintaining a positive outlook on all situations in life will carry us through to much better times! I hope you find the information that I provide both helpful and inspirational!
Happy Monday y’all! I am sorry I am a little behind today. I have been fighting a nasty and evil migraine since yesterday. It is a little better this morning, but I am still struggling some with a mild headache and other not so mild pain. Next Monday will be my first day at my new work from home job! I am a mixture of excited and nervous, but I am sure everything will be fine!
How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun? I hope whatever you did you stayed safe and enjoyed every moment! On Saturday, I spent the entire day either cleaning or organizing. I have two boxes of stuff I am going to be donating to those in need! It is my belief that when there are things like clothing and household items that are going unused, it would be much more useful to donate to another person that is in need.
I know I am a few hours behind with sharing my normal Motivational Monday quote, but I hope this quote provides you with the motivation needed to start the week with a positive mindset! Of course, I would love to read your thoughts on it and will respond as quickly as I can.
Thank you for visiting my site today! I do always appreciate your continued support and enjoy reading your comments and the posts you share on your blog! Remember, the virus has not gone anywhere yet and is actually becoming more dangerous because too many people are acting carelessly, so it is crucial to follow all safety protocols! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, and many positive vibes!
On multiple different occasions I have said the area I live in is overcrowded and everywhere I go has too much congestion. If I view things in a much broader picture, there are close to 69,000 people in the city I live in, but close to 8 million in the entire world. Of course, I think more than 50 people is a large crowd, so there other number are just ludacris.
Even though I prefer to not be around massive groups, especially right now with COVID-19 in the forefront of my mind, I do find the uniqueness of each interesting. Could you imagine what life would be like if we were all the same? I think things would be very boring and monotonous.
Each person is comprised of personality, experiences endured in life, knowledge we have gained, and emotions felt. Every individual has their viewpoints of the world and outlooks, mainly powered by their life experiences. All of our qualities that make each of us unique and fascinating can be sharpened and enhanced on, allowing for growth as we continue our lives adventures.
The following ten characteristic are what make us our own unique and captivating self. We should always hold our heads held high and be proud of our uniqueness and the amazing people we have become today.
1. Our Personality-
Each of our personalities is something that begins to be shape starting from the time we are born and has continued to the present day. All of our positive and negative experiences, each achievement and defeat, every occurrence of strength and weakness, all the knowledge and wisdom we have gained are what is guiding how we can progress through our life.
The level of knowledge, experiences, and comprehension one individual has are what makes them who they are and no other will be the same as that person. Just as no one will respond the same to life experiences, no one will make the same choices in life as another would.
2. Our Attitudes-
Our attitude determines how we view life and those we are surrounded by. Both positive and negative attitudes can be very contagious, which means the way we are feeling has the potential to influence how other feel. The truth is those with a positive attitude will tend to steer away from others that have a negative attitude. Our attitude is something that is created from our emotional outlooks. Unless we make proactive changes for something better and more favorable for a happier present and future, our attitude will not change for the better.
3. Our Experiences-
There is no doubt that our past and future experiences play a vital role with shaping the unique individuals we are. All of our experiences in life help dictate the way we interact with others. Many times people that have had negative experiences might become uneasy and even defensive when in situations that are similar to times before when they had been hurt. Of course, some negative experiences offer the wisdom needed to make better decisions in the future which could lead to a successful search for a brighter and positive future.
4. Our Habits-
Habits are our routine behaviors that are repeated regularly and often occur subconsciously. Our habits will notify and regulate the aspects each unique person will develop. Bad habits could be biting you nails, drinking too much alcohol, overeating, or smoking. Good habits may include eating a healthy diet, maintaining an exercise regimen, practicing gratitude, and managing money sensibly. When we start forming habits such as meditation, exercising, or trying new things they can help to improve our mental health and well-being.
5. Our Creativity-
There are many different forms of creativity, which makes it very interesting. Creativity can extend to a wide range of arts that can lead the creative part of the brain anywhere from drawing and painting to cooking to dancing and singing to playing an instrument. Every person has their own specific and unique talents and creative gifts that have been inspired by their vision of beauty.
6. Our Perspective-
There is no other person that has lived in our shoes every minute of every day at any time. No other person has had the same experiences we have during life and never will. No one else has the same knowledge as another person. Each individuals perspectives are simply uniquely only their own. It is always crucial to stay open to others thoughts, opinions, and suggestions. This doesn’t mean we must accept these as right or wrong, but continue to evolve on our unique perception of the world.
7. Our Tastes-
We can always discover common ground with others on quality or beauty, but our tastes are unique with our personality. Each person’s taste can impact the choices they make throughout their life. These choices may be in the foods they eat or the people they form relationships with. An excellent way for a person to broaden their horizons, learn new things, and continue evolving is to consider different tastes, in all forms around the world. By keeping an open mind and having the willingness to include the tastes of others, it can initiate some extraordinary new things in life.
8. Our Goals-
Each individual’s goals will typically regulate how their time, energy, and efforts are spent. Our short, medium, and long-term goals supply us with both direction and motivation to keep us on the right path. No matter what an individual’s goals they are working towards are, anyone can get more out of their life and grown further as a person!
9. Our Hobbies-
A common icebreaker when we meet someone for the first time is, “What do you like doing?” Granted, our hobbies do not define who we are as a person, but the things we enjoy doing and spend the most time on can enlighten others to the kind of person we are. This all says something about us as unique human beings, the values we hold, and how we find happiness and meaning in life.
10. Our Passions-
Passions are what stir the deepest emotions in an individual to act on something bigger than themselves, despite their mental and emotional state of mind. Being aware of our passions can assist us in finding an undeviating, clear path that is directed by our values and unique perceptions of the world. Each individual has something unique and valuable that they offer the world.
During or lifetime we are going to encounter others from all walks of life. Some of the people we meet will be the polar opposite of who we are and others we will be able to find similarities and common ground with. However, no matter what we discover our similarities to be, there will never be another as unique as all of us are!
Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you found this information interesting and you enjoyed reading this. I hope you are having a great weekend and you are feeling well and of course, staying safe! I look forward to reading any thoughts you have on this post and promise to respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, and many positive vibes!
Happy Saturday y’all! I hope your weekend is starting off well and whatever you do over the weekend, please stay safe! For as long as we have been dealing with the outcomes from this pandemic, it still doesn’t seem right to have so much worry for safety all of the time!
I think things regarding COVID-19 have gotten out of control and yet many people are not taking it as serious as they should be. Granted, I do live in the states and in the south, where many believe everything that the president says. I however do not believe anything that he says or types because there is a huge chance it isn’t the truth. To me it seems better to go with the direct opposite of anything and everything he says. The truth is, if he said it was snowing in Antarctica in the middle of winter, I would I have to see it for myself.
Years ago, when I first started my blog, there was so much I didn’t know. For instances, I did not know there was a spam folder or how to get to it. By the time I figured it out, I had many messages that went into my spam folder, some I wanted to see and others that I didn’t. WordPress seems to catch unwanted messages from what might not be a legit person. I have seen some messages that went into my spam folder that either did not make any sense or was not something I wanted to see because they may have appeared to be a little scandalous and or appalling. Just like the yin and yang effect, where there is a positive, there is the possibility for negative. The negative aspect of the spam folder is some messages that were not spam might be sent to the spam folder. It is a little frustrating, but also a quick fix. There have been times in the past someone asked me if I saw their message and this was a fellow blogger I adore, but her message was just sitting there in my spam folder so I didn’t see it until she asked.
Y’all are very intelligent and knowledgeable, so you probably already know where the spam folder is and how to erase the unwanted messages. There might be some of you that are like me and had no clue about this, so I wanted to share what I know with y’all. Please excuse the pictures if they are not perfect, but I did try!
First, to get to the spam folder you will need to click on “comments” tab, which is under the site drop down.
Once you click on “comments”, the spam messages will appear under the “spam” tab.
I know y’all are probably thinking this was obvious, but I like to give details. After you click on the “spam” tab, the messages will appear below it.
Once you are in your spam folder all you have to do to get rid of the unwanted messages is click on the “delete permanently” tab and then “yes”. Like I said, many of you probably knew all about this, but I wanted to help others that might have known there was a tab for spam. I mean I went about a year before I knew about this and didn’t want anyone else to miss any desired messages.
I think it is good to check the spam folder at least once a week, so you will not miss anything and not have unpleasant messages or those that do not make sense just sitting in a folder. I am sure there are ways to block some of these messages from coming through at all, but I honestly do not know how, so if you do, please let share because I know it would be useful information for everyone!
Thank you for visiting my site today. I always appreciate your support and love reading your comments. I hope you have a fantastic and safe weekend! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, and many positive vibes!
Happy Friday y’all! I hope y’all had a wonderful week and you stayed safe from the virus. Do y’all have any plans for the weekend? I know no matter what you have planned you will stay safe and practice safety protocols! My plans are what some would call boring, but I consider to be both productive and satisfying. I will be cleaning, organizing, laundry, and maybe grocery shopping online again. Yes, I know I sound like an old lady, but I promise I am not all that old!
As we are at the end of the week and heading into the weekend, y’all know I think today is the perfect day to let go of any negative feelings the week has produced. There is no reason we should carry any negative emotions the week created into the weekend we are supposed to enjoy. I hope the quote I shared was helpful and encouraged you to let go of any negative energy! I do look forward to reading any comments you had for the quote and promise to respond as quickly as I can!
Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope y’all have a lovely, relaxing, and safe weekend! I do know how frustrating it is to wear a mask anytime you go out in public, but a little discomfort could possibly save your life! This is what I have to keep reminding myself because I do not enjoy the mask. It feels like it is suffocating me! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, and many positive vibes!
I hope y’all are having a good week and staying safe! I have to say that I can’t believe it is almost July! I mean seriously, where has this year gone? Of course, we have all been a little preoccupied with being concerned about COVID, but still, many months have passed by in the blink of an eye.
Are y’all looking forward to the weekend? Do you have any plans? My husband is working over the weekend, so there are no plans for us. Even if he wasn’t working, I do prefer to just stay home where I know we are safe. More than likely I will be spending time cleaning and organizing more around the house. I think between cleaning and organizing I might even try to catch up on some sleep. I have no idea why but I have been having some issues sleeping lately.
As we are nearing the end of the week with only one day remaining, y’all know I think we all need a little pick me up! I do hope that the quote I am sharing will provide you with the pick me up y’all need. I would love to know what you think about the quote and promise to respond to all comments just as quickly as I can!
Thank y’all for visiting my site today. I hope y’all have a great day and you are feeling well. It doesn’t matter who says things are improving with the virus, it isn’t. On Wednesday where I live had the largest increase seen yet. There was an additional 244 people that tested positive for COVID. The only good thing is that masks are no longer optional and required by law when out in public. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, and many positive vibes!
Happy Wednesday y’all. I hope you are having a great week, you are feeling well, and of course, you are staying safe. I keep telling myself to stop obsessing about new COVID-19 cases in the city I live in, but yet I continue monitoring the massive increases daily. It doesn’t make any sense why I keep doing this because all it does is upset me and keep me stressed. I do not leave the house most days unless it is necessary and when I do, I always wear my mask inside places like the grocery store. It blows my mind how many people do not wear a mask and hardly ever respect social distancing. I am not sure which irritates me more, the carelessness of not wearing a mask, or the complete lack of awareness for social distancing. I was thrilled to hear the city I live in passed a law requiring people to wear a mask anytime they leave the house and will be fined if they do not. I think this should have happened months ago!
Do y’all ever have days when there is so much on your mind and numerous things you want to do, but then feel overwhelmed and do not do any of the things you wanted to? Or when your mind is consumed with things you want to write about, but then you just end up staring at a blank page for hours or constantly erasing what you just typed or wrote? I tend to have days like this a lot and do not know what to do about it. Do y’all have any advice? I may being feeling this way because I have not worked in several months and therefore I am not on any logical kind of schedule, which drives me crazy.
Life can sometimes feel more like a very long and nerve-wracking rollercoaster ride with many added sharp curves and free falls. The moment we think things are getting easier and it is safe to take a deep breath, we face another painful challenge. Sadly, I honestly feel like too much has taken place over the past four months or so and there doesn’t seem to be relief or improvement anytime soon.
I don’t think it would surprise anyone, but what we have witnessed recently has been heartbreaking and terrifying. The other situations that have made the news are things we have known to be hellacious issues for a long time, these mainly being inequality, racism, and pure hatred. Y’all know that I tend to blame negative things that happen on the president and even though things he says might fuel hate and racism, the issues wouldn’t be fueled if the people didn’t already feel a certain way to start with.
No one on the face of this earth has ever gone through a pandemic like the one we are seeing now with COVID-19. I do not even think anyone has thought of something this awful. COVID-19 has put fear in people around the world. Unlike some people in the world, COVID-19 does not discriminate and has affected people from all walks of life.
Even though I am viewing the world in different ways right now, not everything is horrible and stressful. Of course, the issues with the virus do cause me stress and sadness. I hate knowing some people that get this virus will lose their life and their family will have that pain to deal with. And even though I am a small-town girl that grew up in a state with no diversity and moved to a big city with LOTS of diversity when I was 19, racism will NEVER make sense to me. I have always believed that everyone was equal and deserved our respect. With people, the only thing that matters to me is how they treat others and the color of their skin, who they love, who they worship, or anything else that is different from my views does not matter.
Thank y’all for visiting my site today and reading some of the thoughts that have been racing through my mind for a while now. No pressure at all, but I would love to read your thoughts on this post! I promise to respond to all comments as quickly as possible! I hope you are having a good day so far and it continues to be pleasant. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, and many positive vibes!
Even though we may be oceans or miles apart, we are all still living under the same bright and beautiful sky. Unfortunately, the world we live in has been anything but peaceful for far too long. Countless numbers of people have been and continue to encounter uncertainty, increased stress, and escalated pain, an absence of hope, and inequality. Currently, our world is suffering and to have successful change we need to be united. No matter where you live, our goals are the same.
The things the world is in dire need of can be accomplished if everyone works together in unity. The great things that may happen will take time, patience, and resilience.
The following are what is urgently required for the good of this world:
1. Action-
There are numerous challenges we are facing and these challenges are not going to resolve on their own. People are constantly complaining about everything that isn’t right, but none of that is doing anything beneficial.
We need REAL action on poverty, climate changes, the mental health crisis, COVID-19, racial inequality, reckless and carelessness with the government, and much more. Without people, communities, politicians, and all nations taking action by joining together, the change that is required won’t ever take place.
2. Unity-
The challenges that have spread throughout the entire world will not be able to correct themselves unless we all JOIN TOGETHER! We do not need to live in the same state or even the same country, but we can help one another in achieving a common goal, PEACE & EQUALITY! Each and every one of us is alike concerning having a heart full of love, kindness, and acceptance. We are also uniquely different with adding our support for the greater good of the world.
3. Tolerance-
There is more division between people both within the same country and others. If we are going to successfully join together we will need to learn how to be tolerant to those we disagree with. There must be less of the terminology of us and them and more we and us. Tolerance means we need to put unnecessary loyalties aside and only have loyalty for human lives.
4. Acceptance-
Of course, we do not have to agree with everyone else all of the time. The opinion of others should be accepted with just as much validity as our own. Beneath the difference of opinions and disagreements, there is another human being that deserves respect and kindness.
5. Understanding-
As human beings, we are all a convoluted mixture of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It is common for those same humans to do things that gets on our nerves and even upsets us, but we need to try understanding the reason they may have done what they did. Unfortunately, many people go through struggles daily, but normally we are unaware of this. Especially with all that is happening in the world today it is important to try offering our understanding to others because chances are we are also experiencing our own challenging times.
6. Compassion-
There are going to be time we may see someone that is enduring a struggle. Although we might not be aware of the cause for their struggles, it is important to show our sincere, genuine, and wholehearted concerns for them. We have all heard this many times before, but a little compassion indeed goes a long way! It is amazing how helpful it can be when we offer someone who is going through struggles a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen and some comforting warm and supportive words.
7. Forgiveness-
Anyone can do things that they will regret later and whatever was done could hurt another. Honestly, forgiveness is not the easiest thing to do, especially in this day and age. When we forgive it doesn’t mean what was done is forgotten or that we are excusing someone else’s actions because that just isn’t true. When we decide to forgive someone, we are moving on and we are not harboring negative feelings towards that person.
Forgiveness is something necessary between the different cultures, nations, and generations. There is already too much anger, disagreements, and resentment that has been widespread, but this is the time the world and everyone in it needs forgiveness that spreads far and to all!
8. Kindness-
Countless people are suffering and daily more are faced with various misfortunes. Kindness is something that will surpass all faiths, ages, backgrounds, languages, and even reach beyond vast distances. It does not matter how big or small, all acts of kindness can make the world a better place in limitless ways. Bottom line is, the entire world is in an extreme need for a lot more kindness!
9. Trust-
Whether this is true or false, many people believe that everyone is out for themselves with little to no thoughts for anyone else. They also view others as being not trustworthy. Trust is the foundation in all human relationships and without it things can and will rapidly fall apart. We should be able to feel confident and comfortable putting our trust in those that are in our lives, but if we are not able to do this we might need to reevaluate who we are allowing into our lives. Trust takes time to earn and it can be lost quickly. Sadly, once trust has been lost it can take a very long time to earn back and even then can be challenging.
10. Hope-
Unfortunately, during recent times hope has gotten lost for many people. Although most people desire for things to be better, they have also lost the ability to have true hope that anything will get better than they are currently. Hope is what can invigorate the action necessary to resolve the many problems we are dealing with today. We need people to demonstrate the meaning and benefits of the power of hope through their actions. Once more people believe again and have the hope that tomorrow will bring better times; it will spread throughout our world!
11. Wisdom-
It does seem that most people have a smartphone, tablet, or they have both and have the answers needed at our fingertips anywhere we go. The thing is the knowledge we think we are gaining doesn’t necessarily translate to wisdom. What some are not aware of is there is a significant difference between wisdom and knowledge, which is mainly the quality.
12. Contentment-
While it is great many people want to continue to endeavor with achieving more, it also can turn toxic if it isn’t regulated. This does not mean regulated by stronger powers, it means to regulated the constant wanting more. Instead of always wanting more, there needs to be a time when we can look at all we do have in the present and be thankful for it. Many still don’t understand that more doesn’t mean better and need to realize what it means to simply be at peace with the life we have and all we have in our lives.
Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope what was written in this post was beneficial for you and also provides thoughts of pride because you are a kind and loving person. We are all going through many hard times, which can cause stress and frustration. These are things I can completely understand and sincerely wish there was something I could do to give assurance to everyone. When life gets challenging people will either jump into help or run away from the sadness. I wish there was a warm and sunny place we could all hide from what is going on, but regrettably there isn’t. The best way we can cope is to be supportive and understanding, but also feel like you have someone who understands and will offer support!
I know it is only Tuesday, but I hope your week going well and you are feeling the best you possibly can. I know I just wrote a lot, but I do want to know what you think. I promise to respond to all comments as quickly as I can! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, and many positive vibes!
Happy Monday y’all! I hope you had a lovely weekend and of course, you stayed safe! The best way to begin the week is with a positive mindset. Of course, leaving the weekend behind isn’t always easy, but this is going to be a great week for all of us! It is far better to think this way than to think it is going to be a terrible week, right? We are the only ones that can guide our weeks in a happy and positive way.
As we begin a brand new week, we are offered a fresh start to enjoy life and appreciate all that we have! Of course, not every week is going to go smoothly or be favorable, but we do not need to decide this before the week has truly started! Most of the time, if we think our week is going to be good, our week will be just that!
Y’all know that I think one of the ways to start the week is with a motivational quote! I found the quote I am sharing with y’all uplifting and motivating, which I hope you will as well. Once you read this quote, I would love to know what your thoughts are. Did you find it motivating? Your thoughts are always valuable and I enjoy reading them!
Thank y’all for visiting my site today! I hope you have a wonderful day and your week only improves as the days carry on. While we are starting a new week, please do not forget to utilize the safety measures experts have recommended. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, and many positive vibes!
The different types of motivation, which one are you?
Motivation is predominantly our desire and willingness to do something. It is typically our reason or reasons to act or behave in a certain manner. This could be our acts for self-improvement, accomplishing one of our life’s goals, or complete a challenging project we have worked hard on. The motivation we have within us is what helps push us forward towards achieving the goals we set.
The more highly motivated an individual is, the more they will accomplish because they remain focused on what they want to achieve and experience. Highly motivated people pursue their thoughts and create habits that fuel their determination. It offers us guidance with decision making and setting goals to further motivate and excel to the next levels.
Everyone is motivated differently. Before I explain the different types of motivation, do you know what motivates you the most? It can be how you are motivated by setting goals for yourself or self-improvement, the sky is the limit with motivation.
The following are the 10 common types of motivation.
1. Intrinsic Motivation-
People whose motivation is driven by internal feelings and rewards are encouraged by intrinsic motivation. They are not motivated by other’s recognition or from winning awards. This form of motivation is not acting in a selfish manner but can be what guides them in selfless actions. They are pushed and encouraged by their own feelings to do what is right or what is good for the world. Many motivated in this way will go into organizations working with charities or non-profit organizations so they are able to do their part with making a difference in the world and for those that are suffering. These individuals are motivated more by helping other than the money they can make.
2. Extrinsic Motivation-
Those that are influenced by extrinsic motivation yearn for recognition from others. This type of motivation might sound selfish because they are not as clear for others to understand, but they really are not selfish people. There are a number of reasons why people do the things they do throughout their lives. Maybe working at a lower-paying non-profit organization isn’t enough to pay the bills, so even though a person loves what they are doing, they leave that company to go to work a higher paying job. Does that make them selfish? I do not think so because they only want a better and more comfortable quality of life for themselves and their family. It is likely their motivations are both internal and external.
3. Social Motivation-
Humans are naturally social creatures. We all typically have a desire to interrelate and engage with others. This type of motivation covers the common eagerness that most humans have to connect with others, have a sense of acceptance, and to belong to a group. This doesn’t need to be a large group but could be a smaller group. Some may long to connect with humanity on a deep and larger scale because they want to travel, to experience and learn about how others from different cultures live. Some people may want to become closer with family and friends in order to build happy life long memorable experiences and memories. When people belong to a group of others with similar goals and interests, it can help them achieve their goals and continue to move forward.
4. Competency Motivation-
People who are motivated by competency are enticed by processes. This encourages more to be achieved while gaining tactile comprehension and wisdom that can be utilized later. These individuals are not as interested in the finished products as they are in the processes it takes to reach their goals. People that go back to school several times are a good example of competency motivation because their interests are more in the final outcome of their gained knowledge. It also shows competency motivation when people decide to take classes to build on their knowledge from a classroom setting.
5. Expectancy Motivation-
The individuals that are guided by expectancy motivation are driven by how they expect the outcomes of their actions are going to be. Any choices that they make are determined by what the end goal is for the actions they take. They are not typically concerned with the action necessary to make it to their end goal. When management decides to link bonuses to performance, gripping their employees’ expectations of the outcome to encourage them to work harder is an example of expectancy motivation. If management violates their employees’ expectations it can be incredibly demotivating and destroy trust. Another example of expectancy motivation is exercise and weight loss. Unfortunately, if the expectations with exercise and weight loss are not met, a person can become discouraged.
6. Attitude Motivation-
Attitude motivation is similar to social motivation with the difference being that the person is not searching for a group to fit in with. A person is motivated by the ability to influence the ways others think and feel. An individual will wear a smile on their face when out in public despite what they are going through. The person is motivated to practice kindness in the world to ameliorate the attitudes and emotions of those they come into contact with. This form of motivation may help an individual inspire the people around them to spread positivity to those that are in need of it.
7. Arousal Motivation-
The theory behind arousal motivation indicates that people are compelled to carry out actions in order to maintain an optimal level of physiological arousal. Each person as a distinct arousal level that is best for them personally. When arousal levels become lower than our personal optimal level, the person will search for stimulation to increase theirs. When our levels become too high, the person will try finding ways to calm themselves.
Arousal motivation is closely linked to the Yerkes-Dodson Law, in regards to the way our performance is linked to our arousal state. This law indicates that performance increases to a point with physiological or mental arousal and when arousal levels become too high, our performance decreases.
8. Fear Motivation-
Although it might not be a positive experience at some point during our lifetime everyone has acknowledged fear as a motivator. Fear can cause us to take action to avoid or confront our fears. Fear can be a beneficial tool for one’s self, but not as much when it comes to intimidating others. Fear can help us get things accomplished while creating unnecessary enemies likely to discover ways to attack later. When using fear as a motivator it is best to confront and overcome our fears. Each fear we are able to overcome strengthens our abilities to handle challenging situations, overcome and reduce the impact of any future fears.
9. Achievement Motivation-
A theory of achievement motivation explains the desire to achieve goals for the purpose of reaching a peak of brilliance. The downside of this type of motivation is the sheer fear of failure. This person wants to be the best of the best at whatever they do. Alongside possible dark turns, people may begin looking for a short-cut, decide to cheat or engage in other unethical behaviors to obtain excellence. An example of this type of motivation is when the person studies to earn a certification or obtain a new skill by way of training.
10. Incentive Motivation-
It is human nature to desire to be rewarded for a job well done. Incentive motivation is about pursuing palpable rewards and the fulfillment provided. Incentives are a favored way to initiate habits and make personal changes by rewarding one’s self once reaching the goal we set out for.
Discovering what motivates us can be an important and beneficial tool to understand. Once we have this knowledge, there is nothing we can’t achieve. How did you answer my question about your type of motivation at the beginning of this post? After reading the various descriptions of motivation, did your answer change at all? Which type of motivation best describes you?
Thank y’all for visiting my site today. I hope the information provided was beneficial and interesting for you. I would love to read your thoughts on this post and what type of motivation best describes you. I do promise to respond to all comments in no more then 24-hours. I found the different types of motivation pretty interesting myself. I hope you are enjoying your weekend and of course staying safe. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, and many positive vibes!
I hope your weekend is starting off well and you are looking forward to a relaxing and safe couple of days! With things being so uncertain and unsafe at the moment it can be difficult to do the things we want to do. We are forced to take precautions that even though we have been dealing with for several months can still be challenging and extremely frustrating. Wearing a mask everywhere we go outside our homes is uncomfortable and make it difficult to enjoy what we are doing. I keep telling myself a little discomfort is much better than the alternative.
I think y’all already know how much I wanted to find a work from home job. I wanted this in part because of COVID-19, but also for my comfort. It can be so aggravating getting ready every morning, driving through traffic with people that are terrible drivers, going on a half-hour lunch, or maybe an hour lunch, then the drive home with terrible drivers again for five days in a row is simply exhausting! After being unemployed and searching for a work from home job, it finally happened for me! I had an interview on Wednesday and got the offer on Friday afternoon.
It isn’t easy to be patient when we really want things to happen, but I do believe good things happen to those who wait. I am honestly not the most patient person in the world, but I am persistent and very determined and I am learning to be more patient. The good news is, I am going to start on July 6 and it is work I am familiar with because I did it for 3 years before we moved.
Between now and July 6 I am going to keep up with the number of posts I have been doing, but might not be able to do as much once I start working full-time again. Considering I truly love blogging and writing as much as I can I am going to try to keep up, but we will see what the future holds!
Thank you for visiting my site today. I do always appreciate all your support and kind ways. I hope you have a great weekend, but PLEASE stay safe. Unfortunately, things are not back to normal or safe and I am not even sure if they will be anytime soon. It is just better safe than sorry, so please continue practicing all the well known safety protocols. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, and many positive vibes!
