Last Monday in 2021

Today is the last Monday left in 2021. Can you believe it is almost 2022? It surely has been a long and extremely challenging couple of years. There have been a limited number of improvements and or changes, so I am hesitant to be overly hopeful that 2022 is going to be much different than the past few years. If you think about just the last year alone and think about everything that has happened. Yes, there have been some good moments and we need to be thankful for our life. Not to be negative, but does the good and bad experiences in the past year balance each other?

Of course, the issues with COVID are slightly better, safer, but could still be much better. The positive thing is, there has been a decrease in new cases and fewer deaths. There are still breakthrough cases and even though they are mostly unvaccinated, some fully vaccinated people are still getting COVID. Unfortunately, 815,000 people in the United States lost their life to COVID and more than 4 million worldwide lost their life due to COVID. I am fully aware that there are some that will disagree with me on this, but I do strongly feel that if everyone would get fully vaccinated, we as a world, not individual countries would be in a much better and safer place to be in!

This past weekend was Christmas. After last year when we were all encouraged to stay at home, not participate in large gatherings, and basically survive on house arrest without being officially arrested. Living in fear of a deadly virus was exhausting and insanely frustrating. It was hard on me because not too many people understand what it is like to have a weak immune system, so most cannot comprehend why I do not leave my house often and when I do I wear a mask and sanitize everything! I do hope you were able to enjoy a relaxing, safe, and lovely Christmas with your family!

I do believe December has been one of the most difficult months for me. A lot of this has to do with being laid off from my job and searching for a new job. I was working for a mortgage company when I was laid off and I did know it could happen. The crazy thing is even after this not-so-fun experience, I am looking at other mortgage companies. Most people would probably try finding a job in another industry that is more stable, but I worked with mortgages for many years at two different companies. It is just what I know but I enjoyed what I was doing.

I was already aware that I do not do well with not working because I like to stay busy and have a schedule. A lot of people like not working because they have limitless free time, but free time makes me feel like I am losing my mind. I think the reason is that work occupies my mind and prevents me from thinking too hard about other issues in life.

We have all heard that old saying “When it rains it pours”, right? This could not be truer! My husband and I were on our way home from Christmas dinner, and we had to stop for gas. After my husband filled up the gas tank, he went to start the truck so we could head home, and that darn truck would not start. I am not mechanically inclined, but my husband is so while I went from calm to panic in less than a second, my husband analyzes the possible reasons. I did not know this at the time, but he slides under the truck and hit the fuel pump, got back in the truck, and it started right up. Apparently, I need to get the truck to the shop for a new fuel pump to be installed. Of course, I have to deal with car troubles a little more than two weeks after getting laid off.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site today! I know this is not one of my typical Motivation Monday posts, but I had so much the has been crowding my mind I had to get some of my thoughts out. Clearing our minds from unnecessary and increased stress is best for Mental Health. I hope you and your family had an amazing holiday and you are ready to tackle the last week of 2021. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

~Overcoming challenging obstacles~

Many things that happen in life were not planned and were completely unexpected. When these unplanned situations occur, they can turn our lives upside down and inside out. What do you do to pull yourself together and continue moving forward? Do you take a break and rebuild what feels like a collapse of your life? Do you surrender to the struggles, curl up in a ball, and wait for the storm to pass? Do you keep fighting with the strength you have internally and continue living your life?

As y’all already know, I was laid off from my job last week. Of course, even though it was always in the back of my mind that layoffs could happen, I was not expecting to be laid off so close to Christmas. Over the past few days, I have been processing my emotions and trying to let go of my anger and sadness. I have decided to do everything possible to stay positive and move forward with my life. This does not mean I will not still go through moments when I am irate and then sad, but I am going to try not letting these negative emotions consume and destroy my happiness.

Going through hard times happens to everyone, but there are several ways to overcome hard times. I hope the following ways to overcome hard times will help you the next time you face challenges, struggles, and or hardships.

One of the most important things is to understand, things will not always be as difficult as they are initially, and they will get easier. I have always believed that everything in life happens for a reason and something better is waiting for us. We cannot change the hardships when they occur, all we can do is accept and embrace them, and carry on.

With any struggle we endure there are valuable lessons to learn. The struggles we experience during our life offers us the strength we will need for tomorrow, next week, and or next year. I will admit any struggle I go through I always ask myself the same questions, “Why me?” “What did I do to deserve this?” “Why is this happening to me?” I understand blaming bad situations on my bad luck or anyone else does not fix or change anything. Accepting that no one is perfect and identifying our faults can help welcome change and improvements into our life!

Struggles can be exhausting, painful, and incredibly stressful. For our mental health we must try living for the day. Do not worry about what happened yesterday or last week, do not worry about what could happen tomorrow, just think about the current moment. If we are always worried about tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year, our anxiety will continuously be extremely high, and this is an unhealthy way to live our short life.

Understanding what you can control and what you have no control over is very important. We can control our actions and reactions, but we do not have any control over anyone else’s actions or reactions. When we learn to let go of controlling others or things, we can solely focus inward!

We often feel alone when we are going through a challenging time in life. It is always important to have someone that you can trust and be able to talk with them open and honestly. I know without a doubt that my three cats know how I am feeling all the time and they are delighted that I am with them more now that I do not have a job. I think everyone knows how much I love animals and that we treat our cats like they are our children because they kind of are! Anyone that goes through something difficult in life that leaves them feeling lost needs a sweet furry friend that can make anyone smile!

On Sunday evening, I had a nice chat with my former supervisor about the layoffs. Not the supervisor I reported to at the time of the layoff, the one I was working with for a few weeks before that I just adore and respect. Chatting with her, made things feel a little better because she did not know what was going to happen on Thursday and I trust what she says. This makes me think that “maybe” my supervisor did not know as well, but I will never know what she did or did not know.

Being able to view this layoff situation in a more positive mindset means I will have more time to do the things I love and that give me the outlet needed in life. I am thankful that I will be able to focus more on building on my writing skills and learn of other ways to use the skills I learn. I have always enjoyed writing and working 40 hours a week made it difficult because at the end of the day, I was always too exhausted to focus on writing. I am also going to have more time to read the books I have been wanting to read.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site today and read what I have shared. I always welcome your comments, which I will respond to even faster now because I have the time. I hope you had a great and safe weekend, and your week starts great and gets even better with each day that passes. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Motivational Monday

The weekend went so fast and we are once again on Monday. Is it not amazing how fast the two-day weekend flies by? I do hope you had a nice and safe weekend. Unfortunately, ready or not the new week is happening. I guess the positive way to view things is that we are being given a chance to make the best of the week and anything we were not able to accomplish last week we can try again! It is never easy to accept the weekend being over, but this does happen every week and we handle it the best we can.

As we start a week with a holiday towards the end of the week, we all need to try to stay optimistic and motivated. Letting go of the weekend and getting back to our normal schedule, finding motivation is never easy. I do hope the quote I am sharing will help keep you focused on the good and motivated to accomplish anything we set our minds to. We can all admit that life is not easy and many things are thrown our way at random times. We all find ways to get through anything we encounter because we are strong and determined! Strength is much deeper than how much you can lift and more about what we can withstand during our life!

This is the week of Thanksgiving, which hopefully we can all celebrate in a safe and happy way. It seems things are a lot safer this year than they were last year with COVID spreading wildly. Many people have been vaccinated and or had COVID already, so hopefully the spread will not continue. Y’all know how concerned I have been about the virus and that I have had three vaccines, so I am fully vaccinated. Of course, I thought after the first two vaccines I was fully vaccinated but the antibodies test said different.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site today. I hope you found deeper meaning to the quote that I shared with you today and I look forward to reading your comments, which I promise to respond to as quickly as I can. Most people are probably happy for a shorter work week, but I have always said the shorter weeks feel twice as long. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Motivational Monday

Whether we are ready or not, it is Monday again. I do not think anyone is ever 100% ready for Monday morning because the weekends are too short. Although, my weekend was not much of a weekend at all because of our cat, Sundance having issues with his asthma. At least I can hope, this week will not be anywhere near as stressful as the weekend was because that would be awful. I had intended to work on a few posts this weekend, but unfortunately, I was not able to do so. On a more positive note, tomorrow is another day so, I will try again to complete at least one of those posts.

How was your weekend? I do not know about you, but the time change always confuses my poor mind. It causes me to either feel behind or too soon and hardly do I feel like it is the correct time. The time change that happened over the weekend normally gives us an extra hour of sleep, but I do not feel rested at all. That might have something to do with worrying about our cat and not getting near enough sleep.

Considering Monday is unavoidable, we must try to find a way to start the week in a positive mindset and be motivated! Many of us experience pain daily and have come to terms with this. I am hoping the quote I am sharing with y’all will provide you with a little motivation that will start your week in the best way it can be and that your week will only improve as each day passes until the weekend returns again! I think we can all agree that pain is not fun to live with, but maybe it does make us stronger to handle everything else that life has in store for us!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you found the quote I shared motivating and it helps you find comfort in the week ahead of us. I do look forward to reading your comments on how your weekend went, the quote, and how feel about time change. I promise to respond to all comments as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Motivational Monday

It is Monday again! Are y’all ready for another amazing week? I hope you had a nice and relaxing weekend. I do believe we need a weekend to prepare us for another week. Last week was a little unusual for me because there were more changes at work. Thankfully, my job did not change and I did not have to decide move to another role or be laid off. The mortgage industry can be an uncomfortable position because there is so much uncertainty. I am thankful for my job, especially because I can work from home and do not have to worry about going into an office with COVID still being a HUGE issue.

A new week comes with new opportunities and challenges. I do think we are all strong enough to handle pretty much anything that is thrown our way. However, I do still believe we should start the new week with a little motivation. This is a good way to begin the week with an optimistic mindset. I hope you will find the quote I am sharing motivating and it helps your week start in a good way, and your week gets better with each day that passes. I do look forward to reading your thoughts on the quote I have shared with y’all!

I do not know about you, but I cannot believe it is already November. This year has gone by so incredibly fast and I only hope next year will not only be better, but safer from COVID. Even though the year has gone by fast, it has been an exhausting year. Most of us are still feeling like we are on house arrest because we are rarely going anywhere or doing anything we used to consider normal. Now when we leave the house, we must wear a mask and that gets a little suffocating. Masks are annoying, but being a little uncomfortable for a short time and living another day makes it worth it.

Thank you for taking the time to visiting my site today. As always I hope you enjoyed what I have shared and I appreciate your continued support. I have been trying to get back to my normal blogging schedule, but it has not been easy. After working 8 hours and starting at a computer screen, I am normally very fatigued at the end of the day. I will continue to keep trying to do better. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Motivational Monday

Welcoming Monday back is not an easy thing to do, especially when the weekend went by fast and you might have not felt well. It is exceptionally difficult for me beginning the week because as I already said in my last post I felt awful all weekend because of getting the 3rd COVID vaccine, which I still do not regret getting. The truth is sometimes in life we must do things that are not enjoyable, but do them for good reasons. Our lives are full of choices we have to make and we should make these choices to the best of our abilities and try to never live with any kind of regrets.

I am sure none of us are completely ready for a new week, but that choice is completely out of our control. However, what is within our control is the way we move forward with the week and the way we view each day. Our attitudes whether positive or negative can be extremely contagious. This can be difficult to remember on Monday or if you are not feeling 100%. I decided to share the quote I did with you to help you never forget there are only a few things in life we have control over and those are the only things we should always try to make the best we can! Of course, the way we feel about certain circumstances is hard to view in a positive light and all we can do is try because the only time we will fail is by not trying! It is also important to not be overly hard on yourself because that does not do any good for you or anyone else in your life!

I do hope you had a good and safe weekend. Unfortunately, the weekends go by so fast and it can be challenging to accomplish everything we want. Try not to get too upset about what was not done because you can always try again next weekend or another day during the week. Always do your best to remain positive and know you can do anything you set your mind to.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you have a good day and that you week only continues to get better with each day that passes. I know I say this in every post, but I hope you never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes.

Motivational Monday with a Twist!

Happy Monday y’all! I hope you were able to have a relaxing and safe weekend. My weekend was decent, and a few things occurred the needed to. This will make more sense later in this post. I normally try to only share a motivational quote to start the week with a good mindset, which I am going to still do however, there are a few other things I would like to share with you.

In a previous post, I mentioned that I allow things to bottle up inside because I do not want to cause anyone else to feel overwhelmed and or upset, and I do not enjoy conflict. Well over the weekend through many tears I finally shared how I was feeling about a few things with another person. I think everything I was bottling up deep in my mind and heart just overflowed and I could not keep my emotions to myself any longer. It was not an easy conversation, but if we do not tell someone how we are feeling, how will anything improve? Nothing is ever going to get better when we are not 100% honest with how we are feeling!

I know y’all will not be surprised to see how incredibly frustrated I am with COVID-19. The number of people that still think this deadly virus is not a big deal is insane! Others that think mask mandates are taking away their freedom are beyond ridiculous. Seriously, what about the people that are elderly or have a weak immune system or anything else that causes them to be an easy target for this virus to kill, do they not deserve the freedom to survive? I cannot and never will understand anyone that refuses to get the vaccine. The vaccine is FREE and does not take long and it helps to END the spread of a deadly virus and even helps to NOT allow other variants to come into our lives. I have already received 2 vaccines and have an appointment scheduled for Friday after work to get the 3rd vaccine. I take pride in not only keeping myself safe from this virus but other humans from being infected and potentially not surviving.

It is going to take everyone joining together to fight against COVID or we will never be free from it. I want to be able to live again and not be a prisoner in my house because the truth is, these past 18 months have been miserable. Do not get me wrong, I love my home and being with my husband and 3 cats, but it does feel like the walls are caving in and there are times it is not easy to breathe. I am tired of being angry with the virus and people that are not doing what is right and angry with the political lies!

I think that is all for my rant about the issues in life and the world because we are starting a new week and need to begin the week with optimism. I hope you will find comfort, strength, and motivation in the quote I am sharing with you today. I would love to read what you think about this quote because I enjoy the communications we have and will respond to all comments as quickly as I can!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site today. I hope your week begins great and only gets better with each day that passes. No matter what happens today, please do everything you can to stay safe and not allow anyone to bring you down because y’all are worth more than that! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Motivational Monday

Happy Monday y’all! I hope you had a nice weekend and you are ready to start a new week. It seems like the weekends go by so fast and my weekend was a little stressful. Our poor older cat is sick again and he has many expressions so it is easy to know when he is not feeling well. It was hard for me because I was not able to do anything to help him feel better, but I did what I could offer him is comfort and love. I am confident he has the same type of infection he did a couple of months ago and he needs an antibiotic. I left two voicemails and one email for his doctor’s office, but will be calling them again right when they open. I am not a doctor, but I do think because he has been on a steroid for many years for his asthma, his little immune system is weak and whatever infection the two kittens have that does not bother them at all, causes the poor boy many issues. I plan on addressing this with the doctor because I do not think he needs to be on the steroid any longer and it is only causing issues with his organs and health.

As we begin a new week and leave the weekend behind us, I think we could all use a little motivation to start the week off in the best mindset. It is never easy ending a short weekend and start another long week, but we are all full of determination and tenacity. The weeks might be filled with what seems like endless responsibilities and must-do things, but we all manage these challenges with grace. I hope you find the motivation within the quote I am sharing with y’all today because I think the message it holds is important and we must try to remember this daily. It does not matter what challenges we face or how hard it seems, we will all make it through whatever is put on our shoulders. It is not always easy to see the light at the end of a dark tunnel, but in time we will see the bright light again!

We all know that COVID is still running rampant throughout the world. I think y’all know how much this enrages me because it is putting a stop to the way we want to live our life. It does not need to be this way. The vaccine is free and available to everyone. The vaccine and masks are stopping the spread and hindering the chance for new and more deadly variants to arise. In my opinion, it is the people that are refusing to get vaccinated and or wear masks that are the bigger problem. If everyone would do what is right and follow the advice from the experts, we could be in a better place in life. It is not fair that those of us that have been fully vaccinated still have to live in fear because of underlying health conditions making some more at risk for COVID. This is not political as no politician created the vaccines and this is not risking any person’s freedom, but it is risking the freedom of those that want to live.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared today and I look forward to reading your comments. I hope you have a great start to this week and it only gets better with each day that passes. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Motivational Monday

Happy Monday, y’all! I hope you had a wonderful and safe weekend, and you are ready to tackle this week with determination and optimism. Monday mornings are not always easy, but this is the beginning of a new week that offers us a fresh start. A new week gives an opportunity to try again with things we did not accomplish last week, which I think is a great way to view another new week. This is the week of my birthday and anniversary. My husband and I have taken a few days off, but I think we have decided to not go anywhere because we have not gotten the booster shot to keep us safe from COVID. I might be a little disappointed about this, but who am I kidding I am VERY disappointed. I am trying to stay positive about this decision because I prefer to live another year then come into contact with COVID and end up in the hospital. There is always next year!

Can you believe it is almost October? I have always heard that as we age, time goes by faster, but the past two years have gone by with an accelerated speed. I guess the years going by so fast when we are living with the uncertainty of a deadly virus and other negative situations is not a bad thing. I am holding onto hope we will see an end to COVID-19 sooner than later, but there are times I think that is being overly optimistic and blind to the reality of this world. The quote I am sharing with y’all today might not be viewed as motivating, but the reason I find it motivating is because not fitting in with others while living in a world with an insane amount of hatred is a good thing. I might not fit in living where I do, but I do not want to fit in with these people.

What does this week have in store for you? I know not everything that happens during a week is planned and things will occur without notice causing us to readjust our plans. I am a very organized person and might be a bit of a control freak, so I hate when anything changes what is in my day planner. Normally, I have all appointments, meetings, goals, and work hours for me and my husband written down. There are changes that are necessary and I will adapt well to, but some changes I am resistant to. Considering we are not going anywhere to celebrate our anniversary or my birthday, I am thinking about canceling one of my PTO days but cannot seem to decide. Currently, the plan is to only work 2 days this week and be off until next Wednesday. I think saving one of my days off for a time we can go away is logical, but what do you think?

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you have enjoyed what I have shared and look forward to reading your amazing comments. I promise to respond to all comments as quickly as I can, but it will probably be after work today. I hope your week starts off great and gets better with each day until the weekend returns. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Motivational Monday

Happy Monday y’all! I hope you had a wonderful and safe weekend! Today we are beginning a new week, so whatever happened last week does not matter anymore. Whether last week was a good memory or a bad memory, it does not have to hinder our success from the week ahead. As y’all know, last week was not the best for me, but do not plan on allowing that ruin this week for me. It is all about shaking off the negative memories and replacing them with great ones or at least that is what my goal is. Nothing that took place last week or any of the negative energy from others can control what I know I am capable of because I know I am worth more than that!

I hope you will join me this week and set the tone for the week in a positive way! No one can control our thoughts and surely cannot make us feel less than what we are. We should always try holding onto our dreams and never stop until we reach them. Everything I have just written is the reason why I am sharing this quote with you today. I only hope it helps you to remember that you can achieve anything you set your mind to because you are far more powerful than you think you are and as long as you do not ever give up!

Unfortunately, the way the world is and how people are behaving can be extremely discouraging. COVID has forced most people to feel isolated and like they are not living life to the fullest. Also, with there being so much hatred consuming the hearts of many there is a loss of compassion and understanding. All of these issues are challenging, especially with those of us that treat everyone equally and are doing what is necessary to stay safe from COVID. I know I am not alone with this because I know everyone reading this takes the virus seriously and that you do not treat people in a hateful way. With most things, it takes more than one single, but the entire world to make a positive change. These are things we are battling together and we can in time win the war!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you have enjoyed what I shared and look forward to reading your amazing comments, which I will respond to as quickly as I can. I hope your Monday starts off well and each day gets even better until we reach the weekend again. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
