Halfway there!

The great thing about Wednesday is it means we are halfway through the week and only have the other half to make it through before the weekend returns! Of course, I understand the first half of the week may have been challenging, but the last part of the week will be much easier, or at least that is what I keep telling myself😊. The power of the mind is a powerful thing, so if we believe hard enough, maybe we can believe it into reality😊!

I know I mentioned earlier that I took Friday off from work for my birthday! I found out yesterday that we are going to be working 10-hour days for the rest of the week. I think it was pure luck I decided to not work on my birthday because working for 10 long hours on my birthday would have been awful!!!! My workday on Monday was pretty terrible because I had a customer yell at me, not just once, but twice. I am not sure how I managed to keep my composure, but I did😊. I will never understand why people think it is best to yell and insult another person when they are not getting their way because that is the worst way to deal with it!

It is knowing we are halfway through the week that is a good feeling but at the same time a little distressing. I think we could all use a little inspiration, just to get through the rest of the week. When working 8 or more hours a day and feeling exhausted, it can be difficult to stay focused because the week is nearly over. I really love the quote I am sharing with you today and hope that it inspires you to survive the remainder of this week. I think it can help to focus MORE on the opportunities we are offered and MUCH less time focusing on the problems that arise each day.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared and hope you found the quote inspiring. Today will be a good day and we might just need to continue repeating it every few minutes, whatever it takes😊! I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Inspirational Wednesday

We are halfway through the week and much closer to the weekend than we were yesterday. Sometimes this helps me get through when the week feels like it is never going to end. Yesterday did go by fast because I was really busy dealing with demanding people that thought what they wanted was a difference between life and death when logically it was far from that. I try to help give everyone what they want, but it is not always possible.

At the halfway point in this week, I feel we could all benefit from some inspiration. Life is too short to live with mass levels of stress and feeling helpless. One thing we all need to hold onto is hope because no matter how difficult things may seem, there is always room for hope. I do understand all too well how much of a struggle life can be and we all have to endure different challenges, but if we lose hope, there is nothing left to hold onto.

One thing that I think is important in life is to always try to understand others and be kind to everyone. Of course, it is not easy to be nice and understanding of everyone because some have extremely unique personalities. Even those most challenging and frustrating people deserve compassion because it might help them to realize their behaviors are not the best way to be. I had an uncomfortable conversation with someone earlier this week. This person is not bad , but tends to put me in an awkward position that I have to remind him is unacceptable. Unfortunately, he is elderly and does not understand his actions are not appropriate.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I shared and the quote resonates with you. We have almost made it through this week and I am sure y’all are looking forward to the weekend as much as I am. Of course, I do not have any plans, which is the kind of weekend that I prefer. I look forward to reading your comments and will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Survived Monday!

We managed to survive another Monday😊! I made it to my pain management appointment on time and of course, they had me wait 40 minutes before the Nurse Practitioner came in to see me. Big surprise, right!? I was getting frustrated, but when she came into the room, she apologized for making me reschedule my appointment two weeks ago and for the wait. She had a doctor’s appointment that she could not miss, which I can understand. I know that doctors are always running behind schedule and the only reason I can come up with is terrible time management. The hour and a half drive to my appointment were just like I had expected, miserable!

I did check the weather on Sunday night, and it was not calling for rain, but of course, as soon as I walked out the door to my house it started raining. I do not like driving in the rain, especially on the interstate. I have a fear of those big 18-wheeler trucks, so anytime I am near one I go much faster just to get past them. For some reason, the drive home was much faster than the drive to the appointment. The only time traffic came to a standstill was when I crossed the county line to where I live, which always seems to happen, and it does not matter the time of day.

How did your week start? I hope you had a wonderful and stress-free day yesterday and each day that goes by until Friday is fantastic😊! I think throughout our lives we learn many valuable lessons that might not seem that important at the moment, but years later make sense and you implement them into your daily life. We are always going to come across people that may seem unpleasant and even downright miserable, which they might say or do something that insults us or makes us feel disrespect. It is important to never go to their level and maintain your dignity and self-respect. I hope the quote I found will help to remind you to never allow anyone else to forget who you are and the manners you hold close!

Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope you enjoyed this post and the quote sparks something inside you mind and heart. When you have a kind, compassionate, loving, thoughtful, willing to help others way of thinking, it crucial to stand up for yourself in a firm but kind way. I am looking forward to reading your comments and will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort support, and MANY positive vibes!

Sunday thoughts

Full disclosure and I am sorry in advance. I know I am mentioned the following statement multiple times over the years, but it still stands to be true, and I feel is worth repeating. Although life can be complicated and exhausting at times, life is short. No matter what we go through or how overwhelmed we feel, we should never give up and must do what brings us the most joy. We do not need to explain ourselves to anyone because this is our life. Other people may not agree with how we live our life or any of the decisions we make, but no one needs to understand why we made certain decisions. As long as we are not causing harm to anyone else, it should not matter how we are living our lives.

Over the past several years and the first days of knowing what COVID was, and the damning effects it inflicted, many have been stressed and scared. These feelings are normal because COVID has killed so many. I am sure everyone has heard another strain that is more contagious making its way through the world. The new strain BA.5 has caused illness in people that have been vaccinated and boosted, which has been upsetting. However, we all must keep our vaccinations current because, without them, the chances of survival decrease significantly. It does seem as though anytime we think we have seen the last of COVID, something new appears.

I do understand that many people were hesitant about the COVID vaccine when we were first introduced to it, and many refused to get the vaccine because it was so new. We are all entitled to our opinions, but if we look at how many unvaccinated people have died when they got COVID to the number of vaccinated people that had a breakthrough infection and survived, it seems like an easy and logical decision. Scientists have stated that those who get the newest strain of COVID that are vaccinated have experienced less severe symptoms and heal faster than those who are unvaccinated. Recently, a friend of mine got sick with COVID. She has an underlying condition and was double vaccinated and had the booster, she has made a full recovery but might not have if she was not vaccinated. I think the decision to be vaccinated or not is a gamble with our lives and I am not a gambler!

Another issue everyone around the world is experiencing is the unbearable heat! Yesterday I had to go out to do a few things, which I normally do not have to do. The heat was so awful that walking from my front door to the truck caused more dizziness and irritation. Do you wonder why the heat is so out of control? Is there any doubt that global warming is real? The healthiest people in the world cannot tolerate this heat, so for anyone who battles with health issues, it can feel like their life is being sucked out of them. Extreme temperatures have always caused me additional problems with my Multiple Sclerosis, but the extreme heat is making things 100 times more intense. I told my husband yesterday that I am not leaving the house during the day anymore until at least November. I did look ahead at what the weather was going to be like next week and it looks as though more miserable days with heat are coming!

What are some of the most important things in your life? Do you think anyone should have to explain why they love who they love? Does it seem like there is too much hatred filling this world? I am unable to understand hate and I do not think I ever will understand it because, in my opinion, we are all human and deserve to be treated fairly and with compassion. We will never know what someone else is going through in life unless we try. Sometimes a person will have an unpleasant attitude because they are struggling with something in their life, but it is possible they just need someone to understand and offer them love. Do you ever think that being kind to another person might have a HUGE impact on their life and make a difference? I do without a doubt!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you are having a good weekend and staying safe. I am looking forward to reading your comments and hope that you have enjoyed this post. I will respond to all comments as quickly as I can. It is a little sad the weekend is becoming to an end soon and we will be getting ready for another long week, but if we view each week as an opportunity, it might make it a little easier😊! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

~Inspirational Wednesday~

Most of us had Monday off from work, which made Tuesday feel like Monday on steroids! I do hope y’all enjoyed the long weekend and yesterday was not too crazy busy! For some reason, for me at least the short weeks always feel much longer. Yesterday was a crazy busy day at work, which I do like because it makes the day go by faster. Something good that happened yesterday for me was, that I received my 5th shout-out for doing a great job at work. I am sure we can all admit this, but praise does not happen often because people complain more than appreciate.

I think during the week we need to stay inspired. If we could learn to be inspired by our life and those around us, we could spread this to others to make the world a better place. I found the quote I am sharing with y’all amazing and inspirational because life does seem like a river. A river continues to flow and it never goes in reverse. Forgetting the past is important and focusing more on the future is crucial. We must learn from the past, but never stay stagnant in the past so we can move forward to a future filled with many opportunities. There is a lady I work with that has an amazing outlook on life and she always tries to spread this to all of us, which I appreciate.

During the week we must stay focused on our goals. We are the only ones that can achieve what we aspire to do, no one can do it for us. Do you think about your goals at the beginning of the week and plan things out or do you just fly by the seat of your pants? I always have a plan for things and a backup plan, but then also a backup plan for my backup plan. Things can always go wrong, so I think it is better to stay prepared!

Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope you enjoyed what I have shared and you found the quote meaningful. I hope your week is going well and you are staying stress-free. I look forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Can you tell me why?

People throughout the United States enjoy celebrating the 4th of July. There are parades, fireworks, cookouts, and more that people “should” be able to enjoy. Why was this such an issue over the long weekend everyone was looking forward to? Why can people not enjoy life without fears of mass shootings? Why do some people not leave their homes because they worry about what could happen in society? Why is it so difficult for people to practice kindness and compassion for others, instead of the sick need to shoot innocent people? Why is there so much hatred filling the world? Why can all the people in one country not get along?

The questions I have asked are what evade my mind constantly. There are NO answers that will make sense to me because I feel the need to treat everyone equally. Yes, this might be something that makes me different from many other Americans and that is why I prefer to NEVER be like everyone else. When we desire to get along just to get along and not stand up for our beliefs, it does not ever fix anything! I would like to suggest you listen to this song and please tell me how it makes you feel!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpYeekQkAdc

When I was growing up, I was taught that the United States is a “free” and “welcoming” country, but this is far from the truth! No one is completely free, especially women as they no longer have control over what happens to their bodies. If everyone is not uniform, behaving, looking, believing, and speaking alike, they are too different and must be stopped. Why else would so many innocent people trying to enjoy the long weekend, going out to dinner, a movie, the grocery store, or anywhere else not in their homes be shot and killed?

For years now, my husband and I have stayed home safely. We never wanted to get COVID, especially due to my weak immune system, and we have been successful. We do not want to go out to dinner to celebrate or have a date night and not make it home because of the insanity in the country, again, we have been successful. I understand how short life is, but we do not want it to be made shorter because of something we have no control over. I know it seems like we are trying to live in a bubble, and this might be true, but there needs to be a massive change in the United States.

Have you ever wondered what other countries think when they see what is going on in this country? I do not have to wonder because I am told by people, I work with that live in Canada. They see the news here in the United States and shake their heads in utter disbelief as to how it could be true. The mass shootings, lies within our government, taking away a woman’s rights to her body, hatred filling our streets, and much more that should never happen! NO country is perfect, but most other countries do not have the damage as the United States does.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I know there are going to be many people that disagree with everything I have said and that is okay because you have a right to your opinion. I would love to read your comments and I will respect whatever you have to stay. I hope your long weekend has been safe and relaxing! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Mid-Week Thoughts

Unique personalities can be interesting, but sometimes they can be extremely challenging to deal with. When I say “unique” it is my polite way of saying mean and nasty! I try to get along with everyone and understand why some people behave the way they do because when people are rude and distasteful, I think there must be a reason. I try giving people the benefit of the doubt, but you can only do so much to help others. There are not many people I cannot get along with or at least fake it, but the ones that I struggle with I try to avoid like the plague😊! This might not be the best way to handle things, but how else do you do with challenging people, especially when you work with these people, or they are your supervisor?

Most employers say they offer work-life balance, but how does any employer help to maintain this when we must work five days a week and only get two days off? I think things would be much better if we only work three or four days and had the others off. We are working more than we can enjoy life, not that we can enjoy life as much as we used to before COVID, our pay that is never enough, health issues, violence in the country, and all the other issues the world faces. I know we cannot live in fear, but anytime we turn on the news, there is another unexpected violent act that has taken place.

Is there anyone or any type of personality you struggle to tolerate? I prefer to talk with others that are upfront, honest, and respectful. It makes me sad how many people complain and talk ugly to others, and hardly ever say anything remotely kind. I do not understand that way of thinking. We have all heard that you get more flies with honey, so why is it people forget this and behave rudely and evilly way? I think it is best to treat others the same way you want to be treated! Even with those that come across in a manner that makes me cringe, I still try to understand, but will not tolerate being talked down to or vulgar language.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I know this post was a little all over the place, but this is what has been on my mind, and I just need to vent a little bit. I would love to know your thoughts and the ways you handle people with a bad attitude. I hope your week is going well and you are staying strong. Sometimes in life, we MUST stand up for ourselves and fight back, NO matter who we are dealing with. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Stand up for rights

On June 24th, the US Supreme Court decided amongst themselves and others with the same ideology to overturn a landmark decision made in 1973, Roe vs Wade. As it should have, this incredibly unethical and terribly flawed decision has caused an uprise in the country. We were supposed to be evolving in our lives, not devolving, and creating additional turmoil in a country already overflowing with hatred! The ruling regarding Roe vs Wade was brought into light almost 50 years ago when the thought processes of the people had not advanced to a kinder and more understanding way, which was the way things were in the past.

Please allow me to explain more about the way I feel about what has taken place. I am not pro-abortion, but I am pro-choice and believe women have the right to decide what happens with their bodies. Not all pregnancies were meant to go full-term, and it is not necessarily murder. Sometimes deciding what is best for the unborn child and a mother may seem unconventional and cause disagreements, but it should remain a choice. If a mother knows she does not have the means to provide a good and happy life for a child, why should the unborn child have to endure a difficult life? It is already challenging enough for people to survive this unpredictable and demanding life without dealing with hardships that could be prevented.

If the United States was truly a “free” country, there would not be a question or argument about a woman having the right to decide what happens with her body. Clearly, this is not the case because of the Supreme Court. It does not matter anymore if the pregnancy was from rape, incest, or merely an accident, abortion is now the choice of each individual state. I am an empathetic person and do not feel any woman or child needs to suffer the consequences of an unwanted pregnancy. A child’s life does need to be valued, but can they be loved unconditionally if they are the product of rape or incest? Are those that are making an abortion difficult going to care for a child of incest and possible birth defects this may cause?

Unfortunately, there are people out there that do not have the means to afford birth control or to see a doctor to obtain birth control. What about the men involved? Why do they not have to suffer any consequences and why do some men think all they had to do was one small thing to become a father, but they do nothing else with a child’s life? Sex does not make them a father but being there and helping does! It enrages me that some men have unprotected sex one time, which causes the woman to be pregnant, but they do NOTHING to support the mother or child. If a woman’s right to abortion is compromised, why should men get off free?

On June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court made same sex marriage legal in all 50 states. There was NO reason why this should have been an issue in the first place. Love is love and should NOT matter if it is the same sex or opposite sex, as it does not cause anyone any harm. Seven years later, some within the Supreme Court want to change this again and make same sex marriage and relationships illegal. I do not understand if these individuals fear what they do not understand or maybe they prefer the same sex and are afraid of what people will think. Again, if the United States is a “FREE” country, what gives anyone the right to say who one should love or not?

What does love mean? Is there anything in the definition of love that says you can only love someone of the opposite sex? I have never seen this in any definition and think that love is love. Who cares if someone loves another that is the same sex or opposite sex? The problem with people that want to put restrictions on love is, that they do not understand what it means to love and probably lack love in their hearts. Of course, so many want to quote the bible, which I think is a weak and ignorant person’s way out of understanding. Again, if this is a free country, why does it matter who someone marries? Just as long as love is involved, no one is getting harmed!

Considering this is “supposed” to be a “free” country, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but should those opinions weigh in on the choices people make for their lives or what they are able to do with their bodies? Of course, when something is harmful to the lives of other people, there should be laws in place to prevent and protect it. I realize some people believe abortion is murder. With that said, what is worst for an unborn child to be born into a life where they will not be safe, offered food, and a room over their head, OR to have an unwanted pregnancy terminated? Why should a woman that is raped be forced to carry her rapist’s baby for nine months and go through delivery, and either keep the baby or give it up for adoption?

These topics are controversial, and I am sure what I have said will cause people to be angry, but if my views cause you to be angry, please explain to me why. I want to understand why anyone thinks anyone’s life should be controlled, especially when they are not harming anyone. I understand abortion can be viewed as harming an unborn child, but their life might be worst if they are born. And what harm does someone cause by loving someone of the same sex?

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and read this post. I do understand that not everyone is going to agree with anything I have said, and I do know you have the right to your opinions. I am just a firm believer in equal rights and do not think anyone’s right should be ignored. Life is so short, and we only get one chance, so why can we all not be considerate of others? Why should anyone be forced to change who they are or why should a woman not get to decide what happens to her body? Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. This was established in 1949 to strengthen an understanding of the importance of mental well-being. It is time to recognize and praise recovery from mental illness for those inflicted with mental illness. Prevention and treatments can work for people. It is an effective way to help people recover from mental disorders and to live a full, and productive life. Unfortunately, in 2022 there is still a negative stigma surrounding mental illness. People are thought to be crazy, incompetent, or dangerous. This is a false understanding of mental illness, which this month is meant to alleviate and correct.

Over the past two decades, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and others within the US Department of Health and Human Services have collaborated to increase the importance of comprehending the prevention and treatment of mental health issues. There have been effective efforts to raise awareness regarding the significance of mental health and encourage acceptance, support, prevention, and recovery from mental health conditions which include but are not limited to the following:

Congress provided substantial behavioral health workforce investments in 2022, which included $225 million for behavioral health professionals and paraprofessional education.

SAMHSA supports the development of a Behavioral Health Workforce tracker, which is a new database of over 1 million behavioral health providers. This tracker offers users a visual of available behavioral health providers by geography, provider type, and Medicaid acceptance status.

It would be false to say that the United States has not failed to correct the misunderstanding of mental illness and help those suffering for the past several decades, but changes are being implemented now. The current administration in the United States remains dedicated to addressing the behavioral health dilemma people have been faced with and strengthening the mental health and well-being of all Americans. It has been acknowledged mental health challenges intensified drastically due to the COVID pandemic, including substance abuse, youth mental health, and suicide.

In March 2022, President Biden signed the Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Act into law. This act will invest $135 million over 3 years towards improving mental health in healthcare providers, including suicide prevention efforts.

Our mental health refers to our emotional and social well-being. This can impact the way we think, feel, and behave, which can influence how we connect with others, decisions making, tolerate stress, and numerous other aspects of our daily life. We all focus our attention heavily on our physical health, which is important, but our mental health is just as important and often neglected.

Mental health is crucial for everyone. Taking care of ourselves is vital to prevent mental health from declining. Circumstances such as nutrition and gut health, stress, sleep, relationships, trauma, and much more can produce further poor mental health. While our mental health is strong and healthy, we can practice and learn coping skills to ensure we can handle difficult situations when they occur because we know they can happen at any time.

A mental health condition or mental illness is referring to a set of symptoms recognized by the mental health community. Individuals with a mental illness or condition encounter changes in mood, thinking, and or behavior. This can be extreme and unexpected for some. For others, it can mean they are unable to think clearly and avoid friends, family, and enjoyable activities. Unfortunately, some may hear voices that others cannot hear. For someone to be diagnosed, their changes in thinking and emotions must severely harm their ability to do the things they want to do. It does not matter what kind of mental health condition a person endures because the possibility to recover is possible.

There are many contributing factors to mental health problems. It is extremely likely for many people to have a complex combination of factors. Everyone is different, so some may be much more deeply impacted by certain things than another person would be. The following factors can result in a period of poor mental health:

Child abuse, trauma, or neglect.

Social isolation or loneliness.

Experiencing discrimination and stigma, including racism.

Social disadvantage, poverty, or debt.

Bereavement (loss of someone close to you).

Severe or long-term stress.

Living with a long-term health condition.

Unemployment or loss of a job.

Homelessness or poor housing.

Drug and alcohol abuse.

Domestic violence, bullying, or other abuse in adult life.

Significant trauma as an adult, such as military combat, experiencing a serious incident where you feared for your life, or being a victim of a violent crime.

Various physical causes such as a head injury or neurological conditions.

I plan to do a second post about treatments for mental health conditions because I did not want to make this post too long. One important thing to mention is trying to understand and support those with mental health conditions is going to be much more helpful than judging the person. Everyone around the world, whether they have a mental health condition or not deserves kind treatment and understanding. With the negative stigma people with mental illness face currently, they deserve compassion because we never know what will push them too far.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope the first part of my Mental Health Awareness post was interesting and provided you with a slightly clearer understanding. Life is hard enough already without judging an innocent person battling with a mental health issue, but we need to try to understand how challenging it must be for them. We might not understand the illness, but chances are it is confusing for them as well. I hope you are enjoying a relaxing and safe weekend! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Tranquil Tuesday

I am not sure how because yesterday was a crazy day, but we survived Monday! The first day of the week always seems like torture because it is so busy, but Monday is OVER and I do not think Tuesday should be that bad. It is only my fourth week at my new job and things are going well, but it is SO different than anything I have done before. People are often nice and not as pushy as they were when I worked with mortgages, but they can be somewhat demanding. The people I work with are great and extremely helpful when I ask questions. I guess I cannot ask for better!

As the week continues, we must find ways to remain at peace and not get overly stressed. I think one of the best ways to stay calm and peaceful is to worry only about our progression and not what anyone around us is doing. Too many people enjoy putting others down and criticizing them, but that does not do anything productive. The more we tell others how great they are doing, the more they will try improving and that makes us better in the long run. Simple compliments can go a long way😊!

The people we allow into our lives are meant to be in our life. We might not understand why, but I can guarantee there is a reason and we should be thankful for them. I have said this before and will say it again because it is very true and means a lot to me, people do not come into our lives by accident and there is always a reason. Value those you love, appreciate their love and kindness. Never forget to express how you feel because we never know what tomorrow holds and no one is guaranteed another day in this world.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared and you found deep meaning in everything. I look forward to reading your comments and I will respond to all comments as quickly as I can. This is the second day of our week and I hope your week is going great. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
