Happy Friday Eveš! I hope your week has been good and you look forward to the weekend. I had my dentist appointment on Tuesday for the dentist to fix the filling that she had just done. As expected, the dentist waived the cost of correcting the filling because it was not my fault, which was clear. The first few shots of Novocain did not hurt at all, and most of the procedure did not hurt, but towards the end, she was digging around my gums, and I felt that, so she stuck me a few more times with the Novocain and I felt every prick. Everyone at the dentist’s office knows I have a high pain tolerance, so when I made a sound in pain, they knew it was awful. My appointment was scheduled for 9:00 AM and was the day’s first appointment, and they still had me wait for 30 minutes. I was miserable and did not leave the office until close to 11:30. Needless to say, I did not feel great Tuesday afternoon, but I still tried doing schoolwork.
Life consists of many challenges we must try to get through. Of course, we will not always be able to overcome all our challenges and must accept things for what they are. When we realize we have no control over certain issues, no matter how hard we fight, nothing will change, and we must conserve our energy to focus on things we can change. Life is short, so why should we waste precious time on anything that we cannot change, especially when there are many things we can change? One thing we will never have any control over is the way other people behave. There will always be those who want to complain about every part of their lives but do nothing to fix their problems. We can only fix our problems, and we do not have the power to do the same for others. I tried for years to be the shoulder for others to lean on and the ear for them to complain to, but it was exhausting and stressful. The one thing I do not need in my life is additional stress because stress causes massive issues with my health, and it is not worth it!
How is it possible in a few days, it will be June? We are almost halfway through the year, and it has not been the best year. We lost one of our cats at the beginning of the year, which was incredibly painful, and it still breaks my heart. I am thankful for the classes I have taken because even though the pain is still present, the classes have been a healthy distraction from heartache. We have all witnessed some unheard-of insanity within the political world, and I look forward to a day when things can be normal. I hope there will be a day when there will be far less hate among people because there is no need to hate anyone for things that do not affect our lives. I do not understand why the color of a personās skin, where they are from, or who they love bothers anyone because it does not cause negativity in anyoneās life. I wish there could be a day when we see past things that do not matter and only see we are all human and there should only be love. I wish there never had to be war and innocent lives lost, but I guess I am living in a fantasy world.
Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I shared today and found the quote encouraging. At the end of the week, we could all benefit from a pick-me-up because there is always something going on that causes us to feel upset. It could be in our personal lives or something we saw on the news because life is not perfect, and we must continue to live the best way we can. We might not be able to fix all problems in the world, but we can be kind, supportive, understanding, empathic, and compassionate when we know someone is going through a challenging time. I look forward to reading your comments and will respond as quickly as possible. Please never forget I am always sending yāall LOTS of loveā¤ļø, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibesš!
Always, Alyssa
