Pick-Me-Up Thursday!

friday eve 1Good morning y’all! I hope your week has gone well and you are feeling as good as possible! Are you looking forward to the weekend? After four days of working almost 9 hours a day, I am looking forward to a couple of days of not waking up early!

The pick-me-up quote I am going to share with y’all today has a lot of meaning to me. In my own opinion, I do believe happiness is a choice. It is not always easy, but we can do it. The truth is, life is not always fair. But going saying things like That’s just not fair!” or “Why me, my life isn’t fair!” isn’t going to change anything! Get On With It

I am looking forward to reading your thoughts about this quote as I am know what you think will be great! I hope you have a great day and just think tomorrow is finally Friday!

Thank you so much for stopping by my site this morning. I always appreciate your fabulous comments and amazing support! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love ❤ and support!

My signature heart

❤Always, Alyssa❤

  1. Thank you for sharing your thoughts… 🙂

“Happiness is not determined by what’s happening around you, but rather what’s happening inside you. Most people depend on others to gain happiness, but the truth is, it always comes from within”

“Holding on to bitterness is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die”…

  2. Exquisite! Too often folks around me give me the “that’s not fair” quote and I always say … nothing. No reason to. I just whistle and go about my business enjoying the parts that are good and getting over the parts that ain’t.

Happy Thursday, Alyssa … on an actual Thursday! 🎉

  3. Hi Alyssa,

I have read this just in nice time still to be on Thursday as 22.55 in Scotland.
I couldn’t agree more, life is constantly full of challenges in various aspects but that is just life. It’s how you deal with it. I’m my opinion we are a long time dead, short term living. Enjoy what we have, if we don’t like it there is 2 options, number 1 change what you don’t like, number 2 if you don’t like it/unhappy but made no attempt to change situation it’s your own doing. It is a rather annoying saying, “It’s not fair!”
Life does get challenging but I believe a smile, think of something amazing that is in my life, remember something that makes me laugh . Things go wrong on a daily basis possibly several times a day I have personally experienced. I just laugh it off and cherish the memories of not so good days as better just to get a giggle as much as you can at your own musfortunes.

I have a little mantra I say several times a day and my almost 6 year old daughter does it to, I can do it yes I can, who can do it? Mrs Broon ((Brown) can, or my daughter sings/ chants when she is finding something hard or just getting her head round something she will say I can do this yes I can who can do it? Evie Broon can.😂

I am rather new to blogging, I am really enjoying your feel good posts, thank you!

    • Thank you so much for reading my post! This was an incredible and very well said comment! I agree with everything you said as well. We all do have a choice to change things if we are not happy and if we don’t make changes, there isn’t any happy times. I also LOVE what you wrote about your mantra and your daughter says it too. Sounds like you are teaching your daughter the right way to live life and I LOVED it!

Blogging can be so much fun and it gives the chance to get to know many great people all over the world! I am so glad you are enjoying my feel good posts! I hope you have an amazing weekend!

  5. Happy Friday eve Alyssa! It’s already Friday arvo where I am and because Tuesday is Melbourne Cup Day, many of us are lucky enough to also have Monday off, well if you’re at school or uni or work in those places so it’s a long weekend for us. I like the quote too. I can’t seem to stop thinking “Why me” and am struggling to understand why I am going through what I am right now and what is the reason so I needed that. After all, happiness is only a state not a constant feeling.
