Living life with a chronic illness is definitely not easy. But I do my best to push through all the barriers this illness puts in front of me! In my heart and mind, I believe maintaining a positive outlook on all situations in life will carry us through to much better times! I hope you find the information that I provide both helpful and inspirational!
We have made it through one day of this week so far, so we are that much closer to another weekend not that I am already counting down! Even though the days sometimes go by slowly, especially the workdays this year feels like it is flying by. It is hard to believe we are already more than halfway through this year. It is also surprising that my husband and I will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary very soon. I guess it is true that time does fly by when you are having fun.
Everyone lives their life in a way that makes them the happiest and no one can say how another person finds happiness is wrong because we are all unique. The best thing we can do for ourselves and those in our life is to never give up on what brings us the most joy, no matter what anyone else says. I think the experiences we encounter in our life can shape who we are and provide us with different forms of strengths that enable us to survive the hardest times. Can you think of one experience you have faced in life that was extremely difficult and then what you gained from the experience? I can think of several and they all made me the strong and resilient person I am today. Who knows if I would be the person I am today if I never encountered the challenging experiences I have had in my life?
How has your week been so far? I know it has only been one day this week so far, but so much can happen in a single day. I hope you can stay as stress-free as possible and safe. One thing I have tried training my mind on is most things that cause me to feel stressed are often not worth it. Most things or at least some things are out of our control and no matter how upset or stressed we feel are not going to change the outcome, so what is the point in the added stress? This is the only way I can find that helps me to stress less. Of course, this will not work for every situation but may help with some issues.
Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared today and I am looking forward to reading your amazing comments, which I promise to respond to as quickly as I can. I hope you are having a nice start to the week and you are doing what is needed to stay safe. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
We made it through one day of the week already and only have four to go before the weekend returns! How was your Monday this week? My day was pretty busy, but nothing I cannot handle. I think y’all know this, but I love it when my workday is busy because it makes the day go by so much faster. Unfortunately, rainy days do cause me to experience more headaches and pain, which is why the weekend was painful for me. The one thing I will never be able to say is the area I live in is experiencing a drought because it rains way too often for that to happen. The great thing about all of us is, we are strong and can handle anything life throws our way!
Of course, our days might come with stress and that is not always easy to deal with. I am trying to learn how to handle stress differently and better. I am slowly learning that sometimes we just need to let go of the stress we are feeling and know that everything is going to happen the way it is supposed to. The reason I decided to use this quote today is that the moment we learn how to fight stress is when we will be able to live a better and healthier life. I am sure you have heard many times before that stress is a silent killer, well if you also have MS or any other autoimmune disorder or health issue, stress aggravates this and makes life even more difficult than it has to be. Life is already challenging enough and stress can be avoided.
Stress is a common issue with so many people. Do you have certain ways that help you deal with stress and if so, what helps you most? I have learned that if I view a situation as something I have no power to change, there is no point worrying about it. Some battles in life that are worth the fight and then many that are not worth our precious time. Maybe that is a negative way to view things, but in my mind it makes sense. I use this way of thinking to avoid arguments as well and it works. Most things are not worth the time it takes to stress about it because stress will not fix the problem, but it will create more problems in the long run. We might feel stressed about health, money, family, or other issue, but does that do anything positive?
Thank you for visiting my site today! I always appreciate your continued support and great thoughts. I sincerely hope your week is going well and you are continuing to stay safe. During the continued troubled times for the pandemic and other issues going on around the world, we need to stay positive, show compassion for others, and try the best we can to encourage our friends and families, especially when talking about the vaccine. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
Happy Tuesday, y’all! We have already made it through one day this week and only have four more to go until the weekend is back! I have always wondered why the weekends are SO short and the workweek is SO long, but I guess we just have to learn to make the most of it. I do believe it is true, no matter how challenging the days or weeks are it could always be worse. My grandfather, who y’all know I idolized use to tell me no matter what I was going through in life, someone else was dealing with something much worse. I guess his words stuck with me through the years, partially because he could do NO wrong in my eyes and partially because it is incredibly true!
I will not say unfortunately we have four days left until the weekend, but I will say with there being four days until we reach the weekend again we could use something positive to hold onto. Sadly, the world seems to be struggling not just with a deadly virus, but with there being way too much hate. I have never understood and do not think I ever will why people hate someone else because of the color of their skin, who they love, where they are from or, who they worship because I see everyone in the same light. The only thing I judge people on is the way they treat others. I always say that I am an equal opportunity hater. I guess that is why I love the quote I am sharing with y’all today, but would love to know what you think!
How do you feel about the way things are going in the world today? Do you think people should be getting the vaccine because it will stop the spread and hopefully end any new variants from popping up? Where you live, has there been an increase in the levels of hatred, or has it always been there? I think there is a chance I have been naïve to levels of hate because I have never hated anyone for anything besides their behaviors. I have always been a firm believer in love, equality, respect, and fairness!
Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope you are having a great week and you are staying safe! It might not be easy, but it is crucial to try to stay optimistic. Just like negativity is contagious, so is an optimistic outlook! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
Happy Tuesday y’all! Even though we have four days left in the week, we have made it through one day already! How is your week going so far? I do hope you are having a great week. My week is going much better than last week did or at least the beginning of the week is and I hope it continues on this track. I did have a dentist appointment yesterday, but it was only to have the permanent crowns put on and it was not really bad. The only part of this appointment that was rather annoying was how long I had to wait because they seem to have hard time scheduling appointments the right way, but at least it did not hurt me.
I am trying to get back to my normal blogging routine and will hopefully be able to continue the way my routine was before I got a little too sidetracked with life and challenges. I am hoping the quote I am sharing for “Tranquil Tuesday” provides you with the much-needed peace we all need considering there is a lot of problems in the world. I find it sad that we cannot all just get along and accept others for who they are instead of what they are if that makes any sense. I like to believe that I am a fair person and treat everyone equally and with respect, so I do not understand people that judge others based on things that do not matter.
I hope you are doing well and you are staying as stress-free as you possibly can. I am fully aware of how difficult it can be to not become stressed when life becomes overly challenging, but we all need to remember that we are all perfectly imperfect humans. There is absolutely nothing wrong with not being perfect or being what some would call normal. No one is perfect despite what some might think and there is nothing wrong with not being what some call normal because what is normal? I would much rather be different than most people because I do not like being like everyone else. In my opinion, I would rather be completely and perfectly imperfect!
Thank you for taking the time to visit my site today. I know we are all busy with work, life, family, and so much else, so I want you to know how much I appreciate your time today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared in this post and look forward to reading your amazing comments, which I promise to respond to as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
Hello Tuesday, my friends! I was not able to do my typical Motivational Monday post because I have been dealing with a nasty migraine for over two days now. The worst of this evil migraine was Sunday evening into Monday, but it is trying to let up a little now. Work yesterday was awful because looking at a computer screen only increased the pain I was having in my head, but I still did the best I could. I was supposed to have a meeting yesterday afternoon, but thankfully the meeting was postponed until this afternoon, I am not sure how well I could have dealt with a meeting with the migraine.
Of course, I endure pain every day of my life and the only pain I am not able to handle well is head pain. My husband was SO attentive and kept getting me fresh ice packs to put on my head and was willing to do anything else I needed. An ice pack typically helps relieve my head pain, but it was hardly touching the pain. When I say nothing provided any relief from the pain, I really do mean NOTHING at all even lessened the pain!
Considering it is still Multiple Sclerosis Awareness month and I have lived with this illness for over 20 years, I am planning to do a few more posts about MS. I know I have mentioned my first neurologist to y’all before. Dr. Kaufman was the first doctor I saw for this unpredictable and irritating disease. No matter how much I fought him and/or gave him a hard time, he never gave up on me. The man had the patience of steel and a heart of gold. His Nurse Practitioner was also a gem and was very compassionate. The two of them as a team were one of a kind and I will never forget either of them.
I did learn some sad news about my previous neurologist over the weekend. Overall, he is fine and healthy but lost his wife to cancer. This nice, loving, compassionate, trustworthy, and amazing man is one of the BEST and I hate to know he has gone through another tragedy in his life. It does not seem like the man cannot catch a break. I sent him a message with my condolences on Facebook, not that he checks those messages, but I did ask the former NP that does stay in touch with him to let him know he is in my thoughts and that I miss him. Then to give him a laugh, I asked the NP to tell him if he moves to the city I live in I will pay for his house, if he will treat me!
Once my evil migraine finally started to settle down and I thought I would be able to finish the post I was working on, my legs, feet, and hands started to misbehave! They decided to work together to create the annoying tingling feeling, with a touch of pain! When this happens, there does not seem to be anything that will relieve the problems. I guess I should be used to this by now, but unfortunately, I am not!
Yesterday was busy at work, which must have been a fluke because today is not at all busy. I am going to try finishing one of the posts about Multiple Sclerosis that I started and will hopefully finish it today, but we will see! To be honest with y’all, I do have a slight and manageable headache, which I think is a result of stress. My legs, feet, and hands are still misbehaving, but it is not as bad as it was last night, and I think is because of the rain we are having today.
Thank you so much for visiting my site today. I hope you are having a good week, feeling the best you can, and staying safe! I do look forward to reading your comments and will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
Happy Tuesday y’all! We have already made it through one day this week and only have a few more to go before the weekend is here again. How has your week been so far? I had to go to a typically follow up appointment yesterday with my pain doctor. I really like the Nurse Practitioner because she is so kind and listens to me when I tell her the way I am feeling. I do not know about you, but I tend to like the NP better than the doctor because they take their time and are better with patient care. The appointment went well and I do not have to go back for three months!
We are all living in troubling times where there are so many hateful feelings and unfair treatment around the globe. It is not easy to deal with, but we do have to find a way to be the better person in some, if not most situations. I chose to share this quote with y’all today as a reminder we need to try to stay as far away from negativity as we can because all it will do is bring us down. During these times, we need to do the best we can to help build others up and help where we are needed because the more this happens, the less hate there will be in the world. I know it takes more than one person, but it has to start somewhere! I am hoping this quote offers you some peace and you will help to spread those feelings to others you come into contact with. I truly believe that a little kindness goes a long way in life!
I think y’all know this about me already, but I have a soft spot for helping others and cannot stand seeing another person mistreated. I feel that everyone deserves to be treated fairly and with respect. I find myself standing up for those that cannot stand up for themselves because I have an extremely strong personality and desire to help as much as I can. I have never felt hate for another person simply for something they are not able to change and see each human being as an equal. It does not and never will make sense to me how or why anyone could hate another person because of the color of their skin, nationality, who they love, or anything else for that matter!
Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope you have a great day and you remain as safe as you can possibly be. I am looking forward to reading your fabulous comments and I promise to respond as quickly as I can. I hope you never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
~Life Is Short & Should Never Take It For Granted~
Happy Tuesday y’all! I hope you are having a good week and you are staying safe! Times are difficult for so many around the world right now and it is crucial to always try to show those we care about how much we appreciate them. Tomorrow is not a guarantee, so I am trying to focus on this more. There are still a tragic amount of people losing their lives because of COVID and this is a very unsettling feeling. Of course, this might have something to do with my Grandmother’s passing and my mother traveling to be with her, and the other members of the family, but I have been sensitive to this topic long before now.
Considering there are many awful things that are continuing to occur daily, it is important to try to stay calm and keep yourself composed as much as possible. My hopes are you will find the quote I am sharing peaceful and it even adds a smile to your face! I think one reason I find this quote calming is that it takes a strong person to walk away from an argument and a stronger person to not stay angry when they see nothing is being resolved. The older I get, the more I understand that it is important to pick your battles in life because most things are not worth the extra time. This is something I have found to be even more true in the workplace, especially when you are doing everything the right way! I have always been stubborn about my beliefs and thoughts, but I am wise enough to admit when I am wrong.
I know that at least in the United States, the number of COVID vaccines is limited, which I think is a shame. I wish that everyone was able to get this because it would make everyone that much safer. This virus has already killed more than 500,000 million people in the United States and this still breaks my heart. I am thankful that my husband and myself have received both vaccines, and honestly, if it were not for my husband I would still be waiting. Depending on where you live, I am sure you know what the rollout of vaccines is, but please until you are fully vaccinated continue to be safe. Honestly, even after you are fully vaccinated it would probably be wise to continue wearing a mask because of the other variances of the virus.
Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have wrote and the quote I shared. I am looking forward to reading your thoughts on this post and will respond to all comments as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
You may or may not remember that I did already get my first COVID vaccine and had my 2nd one scheduled for this past Saturday. Although last week was painfully difficult and I considered rescheduling, I did not want to risk missing my chance of completing the COVID series and be a little safer with this virus. My husband went with me to complete the 2nd COVID vaccine and after that, we went to pick up the remains of our sweet Chloe that had passed away the previous Sunday. I do not know if I would have had the strength to pick Chloe up if I did not have my husband with me, so I am glad we were able to do this together.
I will say there was a mixture of emotions with picking up Chloe’s remains, one part of me was incredibly sad and the other felt a sense of comfort to have her back home with us. I know some people that cannot understand having a cat cremated, but I prefer this to bury her. I already had mentioned in a previous post we lost another cat to cancer and had her cremated as well, so now they are both on our mantel in the living room. It has taken time, but I think we are both slowly healing from the loss of Chloe. Neither of us is ready to take in another cat, but we do know we will in time, so our other cat is not lonely. Our other cat does show signs that he misses Chloe and is acting out a little, but it is probably to get attention. Or maybe he is doing these things because he is just being a little boy! Who knows, but we are giving him a little slack right now!
If you read the post I did after I got the first COVID vaccine, you might remember that I was extremely nervous. When I did the 2nd COVID vaccine, I was not as nervous. I did hear there was a greater chance of side effects after the 2nd vaccine, but I did not really have any. I will admit, my arm hurt a lot for a few days and the pain did go up into my shoulder and neck, but I am used to pain. I did have a slight cough and headache, but again, I am used to things like that. Even after the two weeks or so after the 2nd vaccine, we are supposed to be protected more, I still intend to behave like I did not get the vaccine and continue wearing a mask the rare times I leave my house. I guess I look at things like it is better to be safe than sorry!
As y’all already know, I did take a break from blogging last week. I was too emotional and heartbroken to do much of anything but did try to stay busy at work. I did not have any extra energy when I was done at work to write, look at another computer screen, and was not even able to do much with crocheting the blanket I had started for my mother and her boyfriend. I am happy to say though, I have finished their blanket and will be sending it to them this week! I have always found crocheting to be relaxing and it is not all that difficult. I am happy that I can send them an extremely late housewarming gift to use in their home! They both know that even though I have known him for a lot of my life, I took a while to warm up to my mother’s boyfriend. I think I have grown a lot over this past year and gotten to know him better and think he is a decent person. I also think they are good for one another and he has helped her overcome some demons she carried with her for too long.
In life, things can get challenging and unique situations can arise. These are just a couple of the reasons why forgiveness and acceptance are so crucial. Until we walk in another person’s shoes, we will not know what they have been through in life. I think all the trials and tribulations we experience in life will either make us or break us. Everything we encounter in our life can make us even stronger than we were yesterday, and we must take all these learning experiences as opportunities for improvement!
On another note, today would have been my Poppy’s birthday! I know I have written about this amazing man before and I explained how hard I took it when he passed away back in 2013. There has not been one day I have not thought about him or wondered if he would be proud of the woman I have become. I would like to think that there are at least parts of me that stem from him. I know he was a kind, accepting, and reasonable man. He never judged someone because of the color of their skin or who they loved. These are a few things that I am deeply passionate about because the color of someone’s skin does not matter and who they love does not either. What truly matters is the way we treat other human beings, and everyone deserves respect!
Thank you for visiting my site today! Previously, I was doing Tranquil Tuesday, and sharing a quote, but today I wanted to do something a little different. Honestly, in a sense thought of my late Poppy does give me feelings of tranquility! Today’s post was a combination of a few things to get a little caught up! As always, I look forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
Happy Tuesday y’all! The good news is, we have already made it through one day in the week. Granted, we do have four more left until the weekend, but that is four days we have to create a better life for ourselves! I think it is better to view each day as an opportunity to build a better tomorrow for ourselves and those around us and NEVER as a painful struggle. Of course, we will have hard times we have to push through, but the truth is we cannot have good times without bad times. It is the yin and yang of life, the concept of true duality.
I have tried to do typical posts on specific days to help keep us in a better mindset. Our lives have a tendency to get a little chaotic and challenging, which can make it easy to become discouraged and even frustrated. I do find that some quotes have a way to make a dark day just a little brighter. I am hoping the quote I am sharing with y’all will offer you some peace and calmness. Even though I think this is an amazing quote, I would love the chance to read what you think because I value your opinions!
Y’all already know that this has been a very challenging week for my husband and I because of our sweet little girl, Chloe. We can see that Chloe is not feeling well and it is painful to see. Even though Chloe is not feeling well, she still has her strong personality and is incredibly loving. I know how wrong this is, but she loves Burger King chicken, so we ordered her a little treat on Sunday. We do know she should not and cannot have any salt, but we also think she deserves to have a cheat day and eat something she loves. She has an appointment on Thursday afternoon with the doctor, but she does not know about it yet. With COVID, we are not able to go into the exam room with her, but the doctor assured me that she will be well taken care of and not in the office long. I will be waiting outside for her and will not leave without her! She is probably going to have labs done so we can know how her kidney is doing. Please keep her in your thoughts!
Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope you are having a great week and you are staying safe! Chloe and I appreciate your well wishes for her and she is going to take it easy and not torment her brother too much. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
Happy Tuesday y’all! I hope you are having a great week and you are continuing to stay safe! Yesterday was a busy day at work for me, but I prefer it to be busy because it makes the day go much faster. I find when I do not have anything to do, the day drags by and it seems like the clock stopped moving or sometimes backward. How do you prefer your day at work to be, slow or busy? I am curious because I know my husband prefers his time at work to be slow.
Now that we have one day over in our week, I have to believe or at least hope the rest of the week is going to be great! Tomorrow, the new president will be inaugurated and even though some people are unhappy about this, I think a few set of eyes on the problems in the United States might be a good thing! The United States, like every other country has faced some serious hard times. Personally, I think there has been too much violence and a massive spread of hate, which does not and never will make sense to me. I guess this is the reason I found the quote I am sharing with y’all so incredible and touching! I think what this quote says is exactly what we need a lot more of. What do you think?
What do y’all honestly think about the issues you see on the TV that are going on in the United States? The roll-out of the COVID vaccine has not gone the way we all wished it did. I looked it up last night when I would be able to get the vaccine and at this point, it almost looks like people in prison will get it long before I do. I do under that prisoners’ are all in close quarters everyday and therefore could spread the virus much more quickly, but why are it law abiding citizens forced being I to wait and put in grave danger? I often wonder what happened to common sense!
Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope you have a great day, and please stay safe. I know I say it multiple times in each post, but this virus scares me and I want to encourage everyone to do everything in their means, to safe! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
