Saturday peaceful and inspiring thoughts

Why is Saturday a great day? It is the first day of the weekend we all look forward to. We might not have any exciting plans, but it is a day many of us do not have a million things to do. Even though I do not have to get up early, my internal alarm clock or rather my cats get me up early. However, even though I always get up early, the only things I have to do are take care of the cats, my husband, and clean the house. I am still planning to do some things that I want to do because they bring me happiness. It is not easy finding the simple pleasures in life that bring happiness, especially when the pain I feel never goes away.

One of my goals for my blog is to try spreading positivity and inspiration to everyone that reads my posts. There is already too much negativity and stress in the world, so I think we all need reasons to believe in hope and kindness. Some days might be hard and the struggles are intense, but if we can help each other to be inspired and positive, it can make an enormous difference in someone’s life.

This weekend, well tomorrow at 2:00 AM if you live in an area that does time change it is time to set clocked ahead an hour. I think that time change is a little insane. Even though most states take part in time change, certain cities that do not. I cannot imagine if someone works in an area that does time change but lives in one that does not or visa versa. It seems like it would get a little confusing. How do you feel about time changes twice a year?

Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope your weekend is going well so far and you are able to enjoy the short weekend as much as possible. I hope you enjoyed the quote that I shared with you today and look forward to reading what you thought about it. I am also excited to see what your thoughts are about time change. I want to remind y’all to also continue keeping Ukraine in your thoughts and prayers! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

~Motivational Monday~

Happy Monday y’all! I hope you had a lovely and safe weekend. The new week is here and hopefully, there will be many positive things happening this week. I would like to believe that with each we are offered all obstacles we face we can build our strength and continue to be better individuals. Unfortunately, today I have to go to the unemployment office for an appointment because they are not paying unemployment this week because this appointment was not scheduled. I am not sure why these people think it is okay to withhold money from someone with bills to pay and who is trying. It is a terrible situation, but I will be sure to not surrender to this nonsense.

The world is a crazy place and many negative things happening in the world, so I think we all need to stay optimistic and motivated. I am hoping the quote I am sharing with you today will provide this to you. Bad things happen in our life, but we can choose how we react. Sure, it is easy to give up, but I think giving up is the only way we can actually fail. Please, everyone stay strong and hold onto your beliefs because this is what makes us who we are. Anyone that knows me understands that I am strong with what I believe in and never allow anyone to change my mind.

Please keep those in Ukraine in your prayers because what they are dealing with is harsh and awful! This country is being tormented and innocent people are dying daily. I have been told the reason the United States to sending active troops to Ukraine is to avoid World War 3, but we are sending weapons to help support this country. In my opinion, the United States has the most powerful military in the world and should be able to assist even further without fear of a war.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you have enjoyed what I have shared today and found the quote I shared motivating. The new week has started and I hope you have a great week and each day only gets better. While the world is suffering, we all need to stay hopeful and optimistic. I look forward to reading your comments and will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Tranquil Tuesday

Good morning, Tuesday! We have survived another day this week, so the weekend is closer than it was. How is your week going so far? I hope your week has been good and you are feeling the best you can. Is it just me or does it seem like yet again, the days are flying by? I used to hear that as we get older, time goes by faster, but this is insane and I am not that old. Of course, most days I do feel twice my age, but I blame Multiple Sclerosis for that.

I have slowly been trying to do at least one post a day before I start my new job. I also was trying to follow the schedule of my posts as I did before. So, with that said, I wanted to share a fabulous quote that I hope will offer you a sense of peace. I feel that being reminded when one thing ends, something else beautiful can be created. I have always loved butterflies and viewed them as a message from a higher power, maybe an angel. I guess my love for butterflies is one reason I found this quote so uplifting!

Recently, I did something I have not done in months, which was to check the number of new COVID cases and deaths. They were high, which upset me, but then my husband being the logical man he is pointed out they are a lot lower than they were last year and that shows improvements. Although many people have received the vaccine, several others are still resisting. I know there are numerous people still losing their fight with COVID. Some of the deaths included fully vaccinated people, but it was stated those had other health risks.

Thank you for visiting my site today! I hope you enjoyed the quote I shared and I look forward to reading what you thought about it. With the days I have missed doing a post, I appreciate all of you for continuing to follow. I hope you have a great day today. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

How to keep your mind sharp

It is extremely important for everyone to maintain a clear and sharp mind. I think it can be easy to do, but it takes a little extra work on our parts daily. Research suggests that challenging our brain with both new and challenging activities can build new brain cells and enhance connections between them. This can protect us from cognitive deterioration and memory loss later in life. Other benefits are reduction of stress, promoting abilities to recall information faster, and help to feel more engaged with life in general.

The following suggestions are just a few ways to accomplish keeping our brains sharp and clear.

Discover a new favorite Podcast

Since 2004, Podcasts have become increasingly more popular. There are hundreds of thousands that of mentally stimulating and thought-provoking podcasts available. Anything you are intrigued by there is a podcast for you. Amazing podcasts about music, world news, cultures, storytelling, investigation, conversational, monologue, and anything else that peaks your interests.

Become social

Open new horizons for your social comfort zone. Open an account with Meetup.com. This allows you to do something you enjoy with others with similar minds. What are somethings you enjoy? Arts and crafts? Reading? Cooking? Designing? There are meetups for literally anything you can think of. This is a fantastic way to meet people in your area and have an opportunity to engage in challenging and stimulating conversations with those outside your typical social circle. These conversations can be an in-person event or virtually, whichever you are most comfortable with. With COVID still lurking around, I would prefer virtual, but once we are past COVID, it would be a great way to have a few new friends.

Maintain a journal or blog

When we keep a journal or a blog, it works the logical, mental, and creative parts of the brain. These also allow us to work through our emotions without fears of negative judgements.

Go out on an adventure

This does not mean we must travel the world, even though that would be amazing! What this could mean is going to a new side of town you have not seen before or taking a drive to see new site of a nearby city. If we make a new habit to explore new and exciting things and places, this will be adventurous. It will also stimulate our brain and satisfy our curiosity.

Get out your reading list

If you already have a favorite author, you can look up their latest books. You can also look at the New York Times Bestsellers list and pick you top three favorites. Challenge yourself to read them in a specific amount of time. You may want to consider joining a book club, as this will give you a chance to discuss a book with others that read the same book. You can be provided insights you did not see before.

Discover a new hobby

What are a few things you wish you knew how to do? Maybe you wanted to learn how to play the piano, know how to write in calligraphy, be able to meditate or needlepoint. Why wait and why not start today? Hobbies have been proven to help avoid depression and increase brain power. Studies show people of any age that have a hobby maintain healthy communication passages to the brain and promote clear thinking and a sharper memory.

Learn a new language

Learning a new language has been made much easier with programs like https://www.rosettastone.com/ and https://www.duolingo.com/. These provide you with a tutor and can be done virtually. When we learn a new language, we are offered a challenge and a way to learn about new cultures. You can sign up for Verbaling so you can practice you new skill with a tutor or native speaker.

Remember to relax

It is important to take full advantage of calm moments. Set aside time for yourself during the day to do nothing but relax. Do whatever it takes and know everyone finds relaxation in different ways. Your brain will thank you for quiet and peaceful moments.

I hope the information in this post was helpful for you and provides you with the ways needed to keep your mind sharp! If you know any other ways to do this, I do encourage you to share because they may be helpful for others. The good news about today is that we survived Monday and we have the strength to get through the rest of this week!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope your week is going well and you are continuing to stay safe. The days can be overwhelming, but please always try to pace yourself and take breaks as you need them. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Pick Me Up Thursday

Happy Friday Eve y’all! I hope you have had a nice week and you are looking forward to the weekend! The weeks are long, but life is short. There will be times when it may feel painfully long, but it is our life to live the best way we can. Pain is real and hard to endure. Loss and hurt are heartbreaking. At times life feels unfair, but maybe those times are a test of how strong we truly are. I cannot think of another reason why we are faced with so many challenges so this is the way that helps me to keep moving forward.

Although today is Friday, the last day we have to get through can feel daunting. Considering I understand how difficult life can get, I would love to be able to help pick your spirits up. No matter how the week has treated you or any frustrations you may be feeling, you are strong and amazing enough to get through anything! I hope the quote I am providing you today will help lift your spirits and push you through the last day of this week. No single person or event should be given the power to infringe on our peace!

As y’all already know, I have been trying to get myself back to normal. There are several reasons this has been difficult, but I will not stop trying. I have two posts that I am working on and plan to have both of them published by the end of the weekend. Once they are up, I hope the research I did was not in vain and they will be useful for you.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you have had a great week so far and your day is full of happiness. I am excited to read your comments on this post and promise to respond to all comments as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Ways to handle challenging family at the holidays

The holiday season is approaching us at what feels like supersonic speed. The holidays can induce many kinds of feelings for everyone. When I was younger, I loved the holidays because they were filled with joy and visiting with family. As I have gotten older the holidays are not as exciting as they once were. It may have something to do with the way holidays were the past two years or the dread of challenging family and friends. It is only natural to not always agree with our family because everyone has their opinions and that does not always line up with our family.

In this post, I am going to share with you a few ways that may help with the anxiety of family, friends, COVID, travel, and anything else that could be weighing on our minds. Family is important and we do not get to choose our family is but should try to eliminate any potential arguments that might come to the surface. We only have one family, so making the most of it is the best option.

1. Take control of your expectations: Many times, keeping expectations low helps avoid disappointment or resentment. Consider what your expectations are for those you feel the least comfortable with. Start by trying to observe others and not reacting at the moment. If we try changing others instead of accepting them it can create higher levels of defensiveness and reluctance. If at any moment your emotions become overloaded, excuse yourself and walk away for a few minutes for a short break to release those negative emotions. I have always found it to be easier to walk away when tensions become too high, and a conversation goes in a circle without an end in sight.

2. Plan ahead of time: Remember past family holidays and any patterns that occurred. Expect that unhealthy patterns are going to occur again and have a plan in place to avoid or prevent them from controlling and ruining your holiday.

3. Modify your mindset: We can decide to worry about things that could happen, which will cause unnecessary or think ahead of time how to reduce this type of stress. Instead of getting caught up in the negative traits of family, recall and focus on the positive traits, our family members have in them.

4. Defend your truth and integrity: A family holiday get-together can cause people to feel like they are walking on eggshells. There are several ways to navigate the circumstance when we know what our reactions will be and how others will react. A few standards to engage in during stressful exchanges are to state your experience, defend your truths, and calm yourself. It may be helpful to make note of your emotions, reiterate the faces, and appreciate your peace.

5. Discover common ground: The holidays provide joys of family get-togethers and create fond memories to admire. However, holidays can also include disputes with family. Regardless of those difficult family members, it is more important to focus on what matters the most instead of insignificant matters. It can be hard to find common ground, so try being slow to speak and quick to listen. You can gain more from listening than jumping in to say what you are thinking.

6. Avoid situations and people when possible: We all have at least one family member that wants to invade into our business, questions our every decision, and reminds us of the negative things in our life. Often, this is because misery loves company. The three most important things to remember are: you know more than anyone else what is best for you. Hold onto advice offered that is valuable and kindly ignore what is not valuable. Warmly divert the conversation by asking questions about how they are doing. Alter the atmosphere with positive language and awareness of being together.

7. Keep yourself grounded: Although the holidays can be a delightful time spent with family, they can also generate anxiety especially when there is an exasperating family member. When dealing with this type of person, it is crucial to provide yourself with gentle self-care to help keep you grounded. Avoiding hot topics such as politics and religion that can cause disagreements will be important. When topics known to cause a difference of opinion being, changing the subject to a common interest will help deter the disagreement from getting out of hand.

8. Form and maintain boundaries: Understand what topics or behaviors are unacceptable or reasonably out of bounds and state them upfront, so there is no confusion or question. Some people will know ways to bait you into a conversation causing conflict, NEVER take the bait! Immediately put a hard stop to the conversation. Determine how much time you are going to spend with family and politely say your goodbyes when it is time.

9. Always be on the same page as your significant other: Be open and honest about concerns and expectations of holiday gatherings. Discuss openly ways to handle potential conflicts. Preparing ahead of time and remaining a united front will help control the stress. Determine a signal word to let your partner know you are ready to leave or when stress has increased too much and have an exit plan.

10. Know your mind and body: Keep alcohol intake to a low amount because it can create issues with logical decision-making and escalate emotions. When overdone, alcohol can increase stress and fatigue causing more opportunity for an argument to irrupt. Alcohol in moderation normally does not cause too many issues, but it is important to know your limitation. Trust your instincts and pace yourself with conversation as well.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope this information will be useful to you during the upcoming holidays. Not all families are incredibly close and there is friction in some. It is not always easy and not all the tips in this post will be helpful to everyone, so if there are other ideas you have that helped you and you are willing to share, please do. I hope you had a nice and safe weekend! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Tranquil Tuesday

The good news is, we made it through Monday! How was your Monday? I will always be open and honest with y’all, so with that said yesterday was not one of those days I want to live through again. It started off waking up about 10 minutes before my alarm was going to go off, but not wanting to get up yet I was able to fall back to sleep, only to be awoken by the annoying and shrilling sound of the alarm. I would almost say it would have been better if I just stayed awake when I woke up before the alarm. I cannot stand the sound of an alarm clock and the sound of a microwave fills me with the same level of aggravation.

After the alarm annoyance, my workday did not get much better. It was busy and I do like it best like that, but the work was as aggravating as the first part of my morning. I continued running into issues with my work and was not able to get the clarification I needed. Normally, when I have an issue with one part of work I move on to something different, but the trend of negative continued. I guess the old saying when it rains it pours is not just a silly cliché, but incredibly true!

Now that we did make it through Monday, Tuesday is a new day and hopefully, it will be better! During the past eighteen months, it has been challenging to find real tranquility, but we need to continue trying. The quote I am sharing today might provide some clarity on ways to find calm and peace! Sometimes when we face continuous challenges, it might be a good time to try seeing what the common denominator is and eliminate that aspect. It is crucial to try living the best life we can and we need to do what is best for our mental wellbeing. I would love to know what your take from this quote was and promise to respond to all comments as soon as I can.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you have a great and safe day! We all can agree that life can be challenging, but we are able to make some decisions to help make things better. Whatever mistakes we have made, we grow from and whatever choices we make in life, it is okay to change your mind! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Tranquil Tuesday

It is Tuesday, which is a good sign because we are getting closer to the weekend. I understand we still have four days to go, but at least it is not five! How has your week started? Yesterday was not the best day for me because work was a little frustrating and I was battling with a headache. The headache was one that I can tolerate, but that does not mean it was easy especially being forced to stare at a computer screen for eight LONG hours!

Unfortunately, there is still way too much negativity and hate throughout the world, and I think we all need more peace and thoughtfulness. Would it not be a better world if only we could all get along and treat one another with respect? There is more we can accomplish if we can support each other and utilize the knowledge we gain from our life experiences. I am hopeful that with all the tragedies we have seen take place in this world, we will become even stronger and more resilient. I am one that strongly believes in being kind to others, even when they may have a nasty attitude because we never know what someone else is going through in their life.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site today. I hope the quote I shared and wrote offered you a sense of peace and encouragement. I have enjoyed reading your comments on my other posts and look forward to reading more, which I will respond to as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Tranquil Tuesday

We made it through one day of the week already and only have four to go before the weekend returns! How was your Monday this week? My day was pretty busy, but nothing I cannot handle. I think y’all know this, but I love it when my workday is busy because it makes the day go by so much faster. Unfortunately, rainy days do cause me to experience more headaches and pain, which is why the weekend was painful for me. The one thing I will never be able to say is the area I live in is experiencing a drought because it rains way too often for that to happen. The great thing about all of us is, we are strong and can handle anything life throws our way!

Of course, our days might come with stress and that is not always easy to deal with. I am trying to learn how to handle stress differently and better. I am slowly learning that sometimes we just need to let go of the stress we are feeling and know that everything is going to happen the way it is supposed to. The reason I decided to use this quote today is that the moment we learn how to fight stress is when we will be able to live a better and healthier life. I am sure you have heard many times before that stress is a silent killer, well if you also have MS or any other autoimmune disorder or health issue, stress aggravates this and makes life even more difficult than it has to be. Life is already challenging enough and stress can be avoided.

Stress is a common issue with so many people. Do you have certain ways that help you deal with stress and if so, what helps you most? I have learned that if I view a situation as something I have no power to change, there is no point worrying about it. Some battles in life that are worth the fight and then many that are not worth our precious time. Maybe that is a negative way to view things, but in my mind it makes sense. I use this way of thinking to avoid arguments as well and it works. Most things are not worth the time it takes to stress about it because stress will not fix the problem, but it will create more problems in the long run. We might feel stressed about health, money, family, or other issue, but does that do anything positive?

Thank you for visiting my site today! I always appreciate your continued support and great thoughts. I sincerely hope your week is going well and you are continuing to stay safe. During the continued troubled times for the pandemic and other issues going on around the world, we need to stay positive, show compassion for others, and try the best we can to encourage our friends and families, especially when talking about the vaccine. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Tranquil Tuesday

Happy Tuesday y’all! Even though we have four days left in the week, we have made it through one day already! How is your week going so far? I do hope you are having a great week. My week is going much better than last week did or at least the beginning of the week is and I hope it continues on this track. I did have a dentist appointment yesterday, but it was only to have the permanent crowns put on and it was not really bad. The only part of this appointment that was rather annoying was how long I had to wait because they seem to have hard time scheduling appointments the right way, but at least it did not hurt me.

I am trying to get back to my normal blogging routine and will hopefully be able to continue the way my routine was before I got a little too sidetracked with life and challenges. I am hoping the quote I am sharing for “Tranquil Tuesday” provides you with the much-needed peace we all need considering there is a lot of problems in the world. I find it sad that we cannot all just get along and accept others for who they are instead of what they are if that makes any sense. I like to believe that I am a fair person and treat everyone equally and with respect, so I do not understand people that judge others based on things that do not matter.

I hope you are doing well and you are staying as stress-free as you possibly can. I am fully aware of how difficult it can be to not become stressed when life becomes overly challenging, but we all need to remember that we are all perfectly imperfect humans. There is absolutely nothing wrong with not being perfect or being what some would call normal. No one is perfect despite what some might think and there is nothing wrong with not being what some call normal because what is normal? I would much rather be different than most people because I do not like being like everyone else. In my opinion, I would rather be completely and perfectly imperfect!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site today. I know we are all busy with work, life, family, and so much else, so I want you to know how much I appreciate your time today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared in this post and look forward to reading your amazing comments, which I promise to respond to as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
