Tranquil Tuesday

By saying happy Tuesday, it means we made it through one of the hardest days of our week, Monday! I am not sure why, but it seems like Mondays are normally the busiest days of the entire week. I guess people had time to think about things over the weekend and they think it is best to share those thoughts every Monday. Who knows, but at least we made it through the first day of the week and now we get to handle the second day of this week! I am still very pleased to say the temperatures where I live will not get into the 90s and just remain in the 80s, which I can tolerate.

No matter what day of the week it is, we should all do the best we can to remain calm and not get overly stressed about things. If you think about it, does being stressed help solve any problems, or does it create more? I do tend to stress about things and I can say from my own experience that it does make things worst and cause additional health issues. I really enjoyed the quote I am sharing with y’all today and found it to be extremely true. I am going to try my best to stay calm and allow things to happen the way they are going to and wait for days to be clearer. I mean it can’t hurt to try, right? When you always do things the same way and nothing in life changes, why not try something new and be calm?

One thing that is going to remain a constant in life is that, life is difficult and we are thrown curve balls that disrupt our days. The only thing we can do is keep trying and never surrender to the challenges because the second we give up is the moment we fail ourselves. This is not about what others expect from us, but what we expect from ourselves. I do not believe we can ever fail in this life, but I do think the one way we can fail is giving up when success could be around the corner.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared and one of the quotes I shared provided you with some inspiration and peace to make it through the day. I look forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Never forget

Today was a day of horrific memories, commonly known as 9/11. Four coordinated suicide attacks were said to be carried out by the militant Islamic extremist network, al-Qaeda which was following orders from Osama bi Laden to attack the United States of America. These attacks were organized into three groups of five members and another group of four members. Each of the groups included one designated flight-trained hijacker who took control of the aircraft.

Unfortunately, this will always be a day no one will ever forget. Everyone in the United States can remember where they were and what they were doing when the news broke about the plane crashing into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan at 8:46 AM. We did not have time to digest the tragic news of the first plane crashing into the North Tower before a second plane crashed into the South Tower at the World Trade Center at 9:03 AM. We all watched in horror as the two 110-story towers collapsed to the ground within an hour and forty-two minutes, which lead to the collapse of other structures in the World Trade Center including 7 World Trade Center, and caused substantial damage to the surrounding buildings.

A third hijacked flight crashed into the West side of the Pentagon, which is the headquarters of the American Military located in Arlington, Virginia thirty-one minutes after the first attack at 9:37 AM. This attack caused a partial collapse of the side of the building.

The fourth and final attack was heading towards Washington, DC. It has been suggested the passengers were alerted about the previous attacks this day and tried to take control of the aircraft to prevent another attack from crashing into its intended target. The passengers struggled with the hijackers onboard and ended up crashing the plane in a field in Stonycreek Township, Pennsylvania at 10:03 AM.

The tragic terrorist events that occurred 21 years ago resulted in 2,977 fatalities, over 25,000 injuries, and countless considerable long-term health consequences. In addition to the numerous lives lost, there was at least $10 billion in infrastructure and property damages.

This terrible event remains to be the deadliest terrorist attack in human history. This was also the single deadliest event for firefighters and law enforcement officers in the history of the United States. There were 343 firefighters and 72 law enforcement officers killed because of this terrorist act.

Although it is not easy to think about what happened 21 years ago today, we should always try to remember the fallen loved ones and heroes that lost their lives. There are still many questions that will go unanswered, and we may never know the full truth because all we have to go on is what the government tells us, and given their track record for the truth, who knows what is real? In situations like this, we must hold onto hope and faith because those are the only things that can help us at times.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I know this is another rather sad post, but I do hope it helps you remember the good people that tried saving lives during this terrifying event. I hope you are having a good weekend and staying safe. I look forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as possible. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Irritating Sounds!

Each person has unique qualities that set them apart from everyone else. These qualities are not something negative or to be ashamed of, but they can create challenges for the person to handle. Since I was a young child there have been certain sounds that I found extremely irritating, which I thought made me strange. It is not loud noises, but small noises such as people chewing gum, chips, popcorn, ice, or anything else that crunches. I remember a time being in the car with my mother or anywhere else when people were chewing gum and it caused an intense feeling of pure and utter irritation. Are there any sounds that you find irritating?

There is a rare disorder known as misophonia that affects about 20% of the population. Scientists suggest that one in five people suffer from this disorder to some degree and less than 1% experience extreme symptoms. This disorder can trigger emotional or physiological reactions to sounds. Of course, those that do not suffer from this view the reactions as an unreasonable and illogical response to sounds that can range from anger and annoyance to panic with a need to flee.

Those that live with misophonia have explained they are triggered by oral sounds, such as the noise a person makes when they eat, breathe, or chew anything. Other sounds people have found to be irritating can include the tapping on a keyboard, table, or steering wheel, or the sound of windshield wipers or blinkers. Some have said small repetitive motions are the cause, such as someone fidgeting or wiggling their foot.

Those with misophonia have said they respond to visual stimuli accompanied by sounds and have an intense reaction to repetitive motions. It has been suggested by researchers that those with this disorder have issues with the way their brains filter sounds and one feature of “misophonia sounds” would be their repetitive noises, which exacerbates other auditory processing issues.

Misophonia appears to range from mild to severe. Many have reported various physiologic and emotional responses. Mild responses can cause people to feel anxious, uncomfortable, disgusted, or have the desire to flee the situation. The more severe response may include rage, anger, hatred, panic, fear, and or emotional distress.

Doctors are unsure what causes this condition but have stated it is not an issue with the person’s ears. They do believe it may be related to the way sounds affect the brain and trigger an automatic response in the body. The onset is not known, but symptoms have been reported to begin between the age of 9 and 13 and last a lifetime. This is more common in girls and comes on quickly and does not appear to be related to any specific event.

A recent breakthrough study discovered that misophonia is a brain-based disorder. Researchers have referred to a disruption in the connectivity in parts of the brain that processes both sound stimulation and the fight/flight response. This is said to involve parts of the brain that code the importance of sound.

If this is something any of you deal with, I am sorry because I know how incredibly frustrating it can be. There have been times I had to cover my ears to avoid the annoying sounds because it causes me massive amounts of frustration and anger. It was so hard to deal with when I worked in an office setting because many people loved chewing gum and that is one of the most annoying sounds in the world. Thankfully, I am not working in an office setting, so I do not deal with this anymore, but my husband does love chewing ice and tries to say it is soft ice. It is NOT soft ice! If this is something you must live with, how do you handle it without losing your mind?

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope what I have shared is something you do not live with, but if you do, please know you are not alone. I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. I hope your weekend has started pleasantly and you enjoy these two days! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Let It Go Friday

Happy Friday, y’all! It might have been a short week, but it certainly felt longer than just four days. It never ceases to amaze me how much people think what they want or think they need must happen immediately and forget to think about what is possible. Most of what people fret about is not a matter of life and death or even as important as they think it is. There are too many people in the world going hungry and or living without a roof over their heads, so the things people worry themselves about are purely a luxury. I wish everyone could get along and live happily with what they are blessed with and quit demanding more.

The work week is finally over and the weekend will be here in a few hours! The weekends are so short, so anything that caused us stress and or negative emotions needs to be left in the past so we can enjoy the weekend! I hope the quote that I am sharing with y’all today will help you to leave those negative emotions in the past and move forward into a relaxing weekend! I know it seems like just common sense, but I also know how hard it is to forget the negative things that happened during the week. Life is too short to let negative thoughts and people hold us down!

I hope you had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend. Do you have anything planned for the weekend? I am planning to clean the house and watch a UFC fight tomorrow night with my husband. I am not a fighter and do not like violence, but one of the fighters that are fighting tomorrow night is hilarious to listen to and try to understand. Anything you do have planned for the weekend, I hope it brings you a lot of joy and you do so safely. Most people have gotten the COVID vaccine and booster, but it seems that people are still getting sick with the new variant. I am sure I am not the only one, but I am beyond tired of COVID. It seems that COVID is like the nagging gnat at a summer BBQ that will not go away!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared and the quote helps you find a way of letting go of anything negative plaguing your mind. I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Pick-Me-Up-Thursday

Happy Friday eve, y’all! How has your week been? Yes, I know the short weeks can feel painfully long and people cannot seem to understand most things are not the end of the world and that life will continue to move forward. I wish people would learn to be even a little more understanding and compassionate, but it seems like that is a wish that might never come to fruition. I guess a girl can dream though😉. I do have a few people that I work with that are absolutely amazing and they can make the worst of days much brighter just by being who they are, and for that I love them!

After only a couple of days in our short week, we do still have one more to push through and I think we could all use a little pick-me-up. I love the quote from Albert Einstein I am sharing because it brings so much clarity to the world. As children, many of us had wild imaginations that we utilized, but as adults, we get so bogged down with the busyness of our daily lives we have lost the connection with our imaginations. I think if we could all try using that brilliant imagination a little during the day, we might notice an amazing change in life and even be a little less stressed and a lot happier!

I hope your week is going well and you are looking forward to the upcoming weekend. Do you have any plans for the weekend? Of course, I have no plans at all which is just the way I like it. The work week, even the short weeks seem so long and they are all planned out, I just enjoy having a few days that are not planned. I know some people would think I live a boring life and that might be true, but it is not complicated and it is safe.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared today and the quote helps you to use your imagination more, and that helps you through the last day of the week. I look forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Inspirational Wednesday

Happy mid-week, the halfway point in our short week means we are much closer to the weekend returning. How has your week been going so far? The good news is that we only have a couple of days left before we are back to the peaceful times of the weekend, so I think we can handle it😊! I am going to try to do a post every day this week because it helps me to unwind and come to terms with the stresses of the week. I am hoping to not miss a day of posts and that the week is not too incredibly stressful!

Even though it is a short week, the days can become stressful and we can lose hope for better days. At the halfway point in the week, I think we can all benefit from an inspirational quote, which I hope will inspire you and help you through the rest of the week. Oftentimes, the only thing that helps me through the pain of multiple sclerosis and the stresses of life our the love and compassion of my loving husband and adorable cats. After a long day watching the way our cats play with one another is hilarious and always makes me laugh😊. It amazes me how animals love without any expectations or ulterior motives and are so forgiving!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared and you found the quote inspiring. I hope you are having a good week and it will only get better over the next couple days. I look forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Dear Cancer

Dear Cancer,

You have taken so many people that I cared deeply for. You seem to attack many kind and loving people without reasons that make any sense. I am not sure where you came from, who created you, or why there have not been ways discovered to eradicate you from existence because you are pure evil and need to be eliminated from this world for the good of mankind. You do not deserve to still be around and causing as much damage, pain, and heartache as you have been able to so far.

I am aware of things that are known to cause cancer. Some labels on cigarettes warn about the health risks. It is known that smoking can cause lung cancer, but why have many people who have never smoked died from lung cancer? The Surgeon General makes things causing cancer clear, but is it to protect innocent people or to cover himself and prevent major lawsuits? I think the Surgeon General cares more about protecting himself and his bank account than he does about human lives.

Women go through all the appropriate doctor’s appointments and suggested tests, such as mammograms and pap smears. Even doing everything they are supposed to do to avoid various forms of cancers and through no fault of their own, you still invade their bodies causing them irrefutable damage. The most common form of cancer for women is breast cancer. As of now, breast cancer contributes to 290,560 new cases each year. One in eight women, which is approximately 13% will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime.

Ovarian cancer is the fifth most common form of cancer death affecting women in the United States. Approximately 19,880 will receive this diagnosis and 12,810 will not survive the diagnosis. The risk of a woman getting ovarian cancer during their lifetime is 1 in 78 and the chance of dying is about 1 in 108.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide. In 2022, approximately 236,740 people will receive this diagnosis in the United States, which is about 1 in 16 people. Unfortunately, 130,180 Americans lose their lives annually. In the United States, approximately 20,000-40,000 or 10-20% of lung cancers happen to those who either never smoked a day in their life or smoked less than 100 cigarettes in their lifetime.

Prostate cancer is the second most common malignancy in men worldwide. Approximately, one in eight men will receive this diagnosis in their lifetime. About six in ten cases are diagnosed in men 65 or older but is considered rare in men under 40. Although prostate cancer is considered serious, statistics suggest there are more than 3.1 million men who were diagnosed and are still alive today. Even though many do survive this cancer, 1 in 41 men will die from this type of cancer.

Cancer, you took my grandfather away from me, the rest of his family and friends, and the world. Why did you do this? His purpose here on earth was still needed. You took a piece of my heart from me, and I will never forgive you for this. My grandfather was an amazing man that gave so much to the world with his kindness, love, and gentle smile. I do not believe you have a heart or soul, but someone needs to find a way to eliminate you as it would make the world a much better place. No one deserves your fate or the massive destruction you cause!

I wrote this post today because Friday will be the ninth anniversary of my grandfather passing away. Cancer causes so much pain in our world, and it is no one’s fault. No one asks to get cancer and they should never have to face this evilness. I do not understand why considering the United States is the wealthiest country in the world with brilliant scientist’s cures have not been discovered. The rage of cancer should not inflict anyone’s life and we should be free from it!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I cannot imagine anyone will enjoy this post because cancer has probably invaded your life in one way or another. I do not hate much in this world, but I do hate cancer with a passion! I would like the chance to read your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. I hope you are having a good day and doing something that brings you comfort, and peace. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Pick-Me-Up Thursday

Happy Friday eve, y’all! We have almost made it through another week, and we are beginning a new month. I cannot believe we are already in September because the last several months have gone by so quickly and I hardly remember them☹. Crazy, right? September is a beautiful month, but it is also an incredibly sad month for me. Nine years ago, on September 9, 2013, I lost someone close to me. My dear sweet and very loving Poppy passed away on that day and I have dreaded this day every year since he passed. I will be doing a post on September 9th in honor of him☹.

How has your week been so far? I hope you are having an amazing week and you are looking forward to the long weekend ahead of us😊! My week did not begin all great because of car issues, but yesterday I had a great day at work. Not only are things changing and I am going to be reporting to the supervisor I have been wanting as a supervisor since I started with the company😊, but I was also told by a sales representative that has been with the company for 28 years that I am doing a stellar job, and the way I care about the customers shines through in everything I am doing. These two things made my week much better and put a HUGE smile on my face😊!

Our week will be coming to an end soon and we need to find the strength and determination to survive one last day, I feel we need a pick-me-up. Life can get complicated, and sometimes this makes us want to give up and stop trying. All the challenges we endure in this life can only break us if we stop trying. It doesn’t matter how hard we must fight, what matters is that we keep moving forward and never surrender to the challenges.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. I hope the last part of your week is amazing and you have a wonderful, and safe long weekend. I hope you found the quote I shared a good pick-me-up, and it provides you the strength to keep going until the week finally ends. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Halfway to the weekend!

Thankfully, we have made it to the halfway point of this week. How has your week been up until now? I hope your week is going well and you are excited we are getting closer to a long weekend, which I know we all need😊! I do not have anything planned for the long weekend but am looking forward to not waking up early for three days! Honestly, my week has been a little frustrating, so I am in desperate need of a break. My frustrations this week surprisingly enough have not been working-related!

I am curious when you get extremely frustrated and belligerently angry, how do you handle those awful feelings? Considering my damn truck decided to give me a hard time once again and NOT start, I was furious Monday night. I think it is probably just that I need a new battery and maybe the other week when the truck was acting up it was trying to give me an indication of the issue, but it was infuriating because I was trying to go to the pharmacy when it would not start. To avoid yelling at the top of my lungs or crying hysterically, I dug my fingernails into the palm of my hands for about 20 minutes. Yes, it hurt, but the pain was distracting me from my anger. I know this sounds insane, but that is how angry I was. Yesterday, my hands still hurt and had bruises from where I dug my nails into my palms.

I know that everyone handles their anger and negative emotions differently and there are healthy ways, and unhealthy ways of doing so. The only good thing is that I was not destructive towards anything that could break easily and cost money to fix, I only decided to harm my poor hands when I was extremely upset. I know and have seen when some people get upset, they will break things because they hit an object with massive force, which has never made sense to me. I am still very upset about my truck not working because now I have no way to get anywhere that I may need to go. I think it is more frustrating because working from home and hardly leaving the house, I already feel isolated and like I am on house arrest, so now that my only way to leave the house has been taken away from me, my frustrations have increased.

As you can tell, my week has been mildly stressful because of the vehicle issues. I have never claimed that I handle stress well because I am an intense stress case and worry about everything. I know this is something that I need to work on and improve on drastically, but I have failed so far. Does anyone else worry about things and if so, how do you maintain yourself and try to stay calm?

With today being the midway point to the weekend and we still have a few days to go, I think we could all use a little inspiration. Life is not easy, and we all go through struggles in life, which can make it easier to become anxious. I hope the quote I am sharing with you will provide you with a sense of calm and inspiration to make it through the rest of this week!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you found what I have shared inspiring and that it resonates with you. I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as possible. I hope you have a great day and the last few days go by quickly so that you can enjoy the upcoming long weekend! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Motivational Monday

Welcome back, Monday. I had a dream Monday would forget to return and we had Sunday 2.0, unfortunately, that dream did not come true. The only choice we have is to tackle Monday with as much strength and motivation as possible. I hope you had a nice, safe, and relaxing weekend so that you are ready for another long week. It is never easy to begin another week, but we always manage to do it because we have an internal strength we often forget about.

As we start this week, we need a reminder of how to stay motivated. I know this is not easy, especially first thing in the morning, but I hope that I can help motivate you today! I think this quote can not only provide motivation but strength, courage, and the hope many of us have lost over the years. With everything that has occurred in the last few years, losing hope has happened to many of us. My goals have always remained to instill hope and strength in others as many of us are forced to deal with things that we do not deserve.

How was your weekend? During the past several days, maybe weeks, I have been experiencing pain in my heel and foot, which I think is something called plantar fasciitis. I have felt this before, but it was when I was on my feet all day long. Waking up with this, which is making it hard to stand is new to me. This has not just been in the mornings, but it does last all day. It is miserable for it to be painful to walk, sit, stand, or even lay down, but I guess it could be worst. Has anyone reading this dealt with this issue before and if you have, did anything help you?

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed this post and the quote I shared today. I hope your week begins great and only gets better with each passing day until the weekend is back again. I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond to them as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
