Rainy Sunday

Hello Sunday and the last day of the weekend☹, y’all! I knew it was going to be a rainy day, but what I did not know was how much my legs were going to hurt today. Of course, we lost an hour of sleep due to what I believe is the last time we will have to time change, but my cats were unaware of this and started to wake me up SUPER early. The older cat started walking all over my legs at 6:30 AM and it hurt more than normal. I think today is going to have to be a lazy day and I will not be doing anything strenuous. How are you planning to spend your day? What do you think of time change?

This is not something any of us should be thinking about because we do have the rest of the day before the workweek begins. Of course, I am always thinking ahead of time and am already planning my day tomorrow because it will involve dealing with the Gilenya nonsense again! I am hoping that things will go better with the MS medication tomorrow because I cannot deal with any more stress involved with this situation. I do think I am going to start today to try to find out if there are any other good neurologists where I live.

Do you enjoy rainy days? Honestly, I would much prefer to have rainy days when I am not working because it is an excuse to not do anything! Rain always increases my pain level. On the pain scale, my normal pain level hovers around a 4, but when it is raining it pushes up to around a 9. While I write this post, my pain level seems to be well past a 10. Unfortunately, there is nothing that helps the pain, so I just have to deal with it and not let it get me down.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing day. Is there anything that you can do to relieve your pain when it gets out of control? I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Always, Alyssa

  1. I’m so sorry to hear you’re in so much pain today, Alyssa. That must be horrible for you and I don’t suppose the rain does anything at all to cheer you up, either. What sort of painkillers do you take? I’m lucky in that, although I have a disability, I don’t have a lot of pain, and if I do, I tend to take something like Co-Codamol, which helps a bit. I hope the sun shines for you tomorrow, so that you won’t be in as much pain.

I, too, hate it when the clocks change. Ours change in April and October. As you say, our pets can’t adhere to our ‘new’ time and Peanut often jumps on me first thing in the morning anyway; just earlier on the day when we lose an hour’s sleep.

I hope you’ve managed to get plenty of rest today, and that it’s helped your pain ease a little. Take good care of yourself. Xx 🤗💕

      • I know exactly what you mean; our government are the biggest liars in the country (my opinion anyway). I’m pretty sure that doing away with time changes over here isn’t on the cards at all. Xx

      • Unfortunately, I think most governments are. Of course, some are worst than others. Sounds like you and I are dealing with the same kind of crazy liars and criminals. It is so awful!! You are in the UK, right? I do not know why, I thought the UK was a little better than the US.

      • I think you are right about most governments being liars. The politicians here are all about keeping the rich richer and the poor poorer. It’s disgusting. Yes, I’m in the UK and although some aspects of being over here are better, politics is probably equally bad. However, I know when Trump got in over there, I despaired for the future of the world, let along simply, the US. I’ve heard he’s running for presidency again. I dread to think what damage he could cause (I hope I haven’t offended you if you are a Trump supporter) – they’re just my views. Xx

      • Oh goodness, you did not offend me. I am anything but a Trump supporter. In fact, I could not care any less for that orange idiot. I am just hoping people do not allow him back in the White House because the only place he belongs is behind bars for the rest of his pathetic life.

      • I totally agree with you, Alyssa. I fear he will get back in as I’m guessing the same people who voted him in the first time will vote for him again. I cannot understand how otherwise intelligent people can opt for wanting him to be President again. He’s a dangerous man and I feared he would start a nuclear war as he had his finger on the ‘button’ and I wouldn’t put anything past that horrible man. Hope you manage to have a good day, my friend. Xx 💐

      • I think the bigger problem is too many people who lacked intelligence were fooled by him. I agree he is dangerous. It would be like a toddler have the button for nuclear weapons at their finger tips. Anytime they do not get their way, they would push the button. I think he believes it was a shiny new toy, but he puts lives in danger. I blame him for all the deaths due to COVID.
