Letting Go Of The Past

Something everyone around the world has in common is, we all have a past. This can include positive and negative situations. Of course, we all enjoy remembering the positive things that happen and never want to forget those memories. Unfortunately, life is not perfect, and we encounter negative experiences during our lifetime. Although our first reaction to negative situations is to try forgetting them because they were traumatic and caused emotional pain and anxiety. There are better and more effective ways to handle those negative situations.

Instead of trying to ignore and forget about the past, it might be better and longer lasting to confront the past head-on. Confronting the past involved a conscious, dedicated choice to approach past emotional pain and begin to process them. When we continue trying to avoid the past, it is only going to circle back around. This will continuously force us to remember the pain over and over again, which is a vicious negative cycle.

There are numerous ways to confront the past and I am going to share some steps that I hope will help you. I do understand that you may have other ways that have helped you, which is great. Everyone deals with emotional pain and stress differently, so I would encourage you to share what has helped you face these issues.

One: Acceptance:

Accepting the traumatic events that were experienced is the first step and can be the most challenging step towards recovery. It depends on the severity of the trauma, but it may require professional help to overcome it and move forward. Mental health is critical to take care of before it escalates, so seeking guidance from a professional should not be viewed as a weakness and no one should feel shame from this.

Two: Consider the effects:

Any hurt we experience is going to include a reaction. We will gain additional wisdom that we must value. We should always try using what was learned from our painful experiences to have a better reaction when faced with future pain. Everything experienced in life is meant to help us deal with similar situations that we may encounter, and they are all learning opportunities. These opportunities are a gift to help us handle complicated situations we may endure and should not be viewed as a punishment, but more as a benefit.

Three: Distance:

We have all heard that sometimes it is necessary to distance ourselves from negative situations or toxic people in our life. It has been suggested by psychologists, that distance from a situation or the individual causing us to feel upset or stressed can help with letting go because we are not around the individual or situation and not forced to think about whatever is causing us to be upset. Often, we need space and time to process things on our terms.

Four: Allow yourself time to let the negative feeling flow:

We may try to avoid negative feelings out of fear but understand this is normal. Many people are in fear of feeling such as anger, grief, sadness, and disappointment, but these are common and natural feelings to experience once you have been hurt. It is okay to take time alone to let your tears flow or scream your frustration and anger out when no one is around. This release may severe you well and you are one step closer to recovery. If you do not want to scream or cry your feelings out, you can try writing a letter that you do not plan to send to whatever has you upset.

Five: Accept you may never get an apology:

Waiting for another person to accept responsibility for hurting you and apologizing can be a wasted energy. If you wait for an apology, it will only slow the progress of letting go down. It is not easy to understand why people are so unwilling to accept responsibility for the wrongs they do, but unfortunately, it is the way things are and we deserve the chance to let go so we can be happy!

We have almost made it to the end of the week, and I know we are all looking forward to the weekend. I know I have talked about this before, but PLEASE if you have not already been vaccinated for COVID, PLEASE do so. The vaccine can save lives and we all should be wearing masks when in public places to keep ourselves and others safe from getting COVID. Over the past years, too many have lost their lives and this COULD have been avoided. My mother and her husband, both are vaccinated have recently been diagnosed with COVID. I am thankful they were both vaccinated because that might have saved their lives! Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope the information I have shared will be beneficial for you and if you have other advice, I do wish you would share it. Life is challenging and we do not need additional stresses added to our lives because it is not worth it. It is so important that we try to be understanding towards what others might be going through and know there are probably things we do not know about. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Do you believe in Magic?

When we were children, many of us thought magic was real and magicians may have become our heroes. We were astonished by the mesmerizing shows and may have been so impressed we wanted to be a magician when we were older. The fascination for magic may lessen as we age, but it still piques our curiosity. The magic tricks such as sawing someone in half or making someone disappear never seemed possible. To this day I still have not discovered the way the magicians perform these acts, but I have read many trickeries that are making them appear real and flawless.

Do you believe in magic? There are only a couple of things I believe are truly magical. One thing in life I feel is magical is love. Not everyone in the world feels how impactful and precious love is, so I think those who do can feel that magic love holds. Real love is powerful and encompasses completely. Love can be felt for family, friends, significant others, pets, etc. Those that experience the magic of love know it cannot dissolve or be broken and it is pure. True love is more than a physical attraction, but also includes commitment, trust, loyalty, and honesty. Not only do I think love is magical, but it is also a gift that we should all treasure and value.

The other thing that I believe is purely magical is music. This is something someone else puts a great deal of time, thought, skill, and emotion into so we can listen to their creativity anywhere we choose. Music can make us feel happy and sad because of the emotions that are put into the songs. It amazes me how perfectly the lyrics are written and fit so well with the instrumental parts. Each part of each song is pieced together flawlessly and incredibly beautiful. For so many, music fills their life with purpose and for others, it is their entire life to the point that without music, their life would not be worth living. For others, they need music to make it through long days at work because it fills them with joy!

Another thing I think is magical is acts of kindness because it seems like these acts are so limited, so when they happen it feels like a miracle has occurred. Unfortunately, it seems like so many people are overly consumed with their own lives to the point that no one else is not as important. Too many people have completely lost their ability to be understanding and compassionate toward others, which is a tragic issue. Whatever happened to being nice and caring? This should not have to be viewed as magic to have people behave kindly.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed this post and I look forward to reading your comments. I am interested to know your views about magic and what exactly you think magic is. Thankfully, we are halfway through this week, so the weekend will return soon! We have survived the first part of the week, so I am hopeful the last part will be easy and go by quickly. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Motivational Monday

Once once again Monday has returned a little too soon, but let’s tackle this week with pure determination! I know the weekend was too short, but hopefully, this is going to be an amazing week that is filled with great opportunities! Do you have anything going on this week that you are excited about? No matter what insanity this week might throw your way, just remember that you can handle anything with grace and massive amounts of strength! I do know most everyone dreads the start of the week, but we all survive the madness and live to tell about it😊!

Of course, I do understand that it is not easy to be motivated after coming back from a weekend, but we all somehow always manage to find something that motivates us! I hope you will be able to feel some motivation from the quote that I am sharing with you today. Unfortunately, many of us experience daily pain and it lets us know we are still alive to fight another day! We all make mistakes in life, but as long as we learn from them they build our strength and make us wiser. No matter what happens in life, we are all just perfectly imperfect human beings that are trying the best we possibly can!

As I have said before, we are not always going to agree on everything, but I think we can all agree that life can be extremely demanding. This is the reason that I found the quote I shared motivating. As y’all know, I live in constant pain and it can create challenges, but that pain lets me know I am still alive and still able to make changes and help others when I can! I think we are all put here on earth for a reason and one reason is to be kind, loyal, compassionate, and understanding because those traits allow us to give back to the world.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared and you found it motivating. I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. I hope you have a wonderful start to the week and it gets better with each day that passes. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

End of the weekend thoughts

Sunday can be a nice day to get caught up on things, before the week starts, but it is also a harsh reminder the weekend is nearly over. Even when we have a long weekend, they never feel long enough because I do not think any of us are ready to begin another grueling week. Of course, even with that said we must try to enjoy our weekends as much as possible because they always end too quickly. How has your weekend been? My weekend was relaxing for the most part, but I still did not really get much sleep. I know it is because no matter what time I go to bed, I always wake up at the same time daily.

Even though I understand how quickly the weekends pass by, I am still not sure where this year has gone. In three weeks, we will be welcoming 2023 and leaving 2022 in the past. We will all hope the new year will bring positive changes to the world, but most of us have been doing that for years with no real change. I want to believe if we hold on enough to hope, things will improve, but for improvement to happen more people are going to need to stand up for what they believe and work together in harmony for anything to take place.

Christmas is exactly two weeks away. Are you ready for Christmas? With as prepared as I normally am for everything in life, I am not ready for Christmas. I still have some shopping to do and will hopefully get things taken care of next week. The one thing I wish for Christmas every year is we could remember how lucky we are and to understand there are too many people who are not as fortunate, and that we could try giving back to those that are in need. I do not think it should be too difficult to give donations to help those in need during the holiday season.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed this post and that you have had a nice weekend. As we prepare for the week ahead, remember to take things slow and try to remain as stress-free as possible because the only thing stress will do is harm our lives and health. I look forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, compassion, support, and MANY positive vibes!

The importance of being Considerate

We are living in a chaotic and unpredictable world that has too much anger and hatred consuming the population in mass numbers. People have seemed to have forgotten how to or lost the ability to be understanding, kind, and considerate towards others, which is unfortunate and heartbreaking. We are not always going to agree on everything because we all have opinions, but we can disagree in better and more respectful ways. In this post, I am going to explain what consideration means and why it is an important practice to learn and include in our daily lives.

To be considerate means must be thoughtful or have sympathetic regard or respect and thoughtfulness for others. It is careful thoughts, normally over some time. This can be related to simply remembering the “Golden Rule”. We all know how we want to be treated and it should be easy to implement that same treatment toward others. I know everyone has an opinion, but I strongly believe it should not be difficult to be kind, understanding, and respectful to others.

There are many benefits to being considerate. This can simply mean we are being friendly and reliable, which should not be overly challenging. These behaviors can improve our reputation and invigorate aspects of culture making communities more cooperative and loving. The positive impacts can greatly affect our lives. When we are considerate it can increase levels of trust among others, which will make the people we interact with feel better and more secure.

Consideration of others can also be good for our overall health. The reason is it triggers the reward center of our brain, which elevates dopamine, a chemical that makes people feel good about themselves and their environment. The simple act of being considerate makes everyone involved feel good and happy, so it cannot be denied it is well worth it.

The reason that I am writing about this today is that I am tired of hearing about hate filling the world and think people need to wake up to reality. We are all human beings and most of us are trying to live a good life. There should never be anyone shamed for their life or the choices they have made because we all make mistakes. If we could all try to be nicer and more understanding towards others and help when we are able, the world would be a much better and happier place.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you are having a great and safe weekend. I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as possible. I cannot speak for other countries, but there is too much hate in the United States and some of it stems from political views, which is crazy. The truth of the matter is no single person has the power to make the changes we think should happen, but we can rally together and try. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

It is finally Friday!

Happy Friday y’all! How was your week? I am not sure why, but this week felt incredibly LONG and I am so glad the weekend is almost here! It seems like the closer we get to the holidays, the crazier people become and it does not make sense to me. The insanity is exhausting and I think everyone needs to calm down and relax. The things some people think are so important and urgent are most of the time not that big of a deal. I find it a little disturbing that people think they need to spend LOADS of money on Christmas when there are still so many people starving and without a roof over their heads at night. I have already made several blankets that I am going to be donating to homeless shelters to try to help keep people warm when the temperatures are cold. I am also donating clothing to help people in need.

With today being the last day of the week before the weekend begins, I think it is the perfect day to let go of any negative feelings the week created. The weekends are so short and we should be able to enjoy them to the fullest without the weight of negative feelings from the week evading it. I hope you will find meaning in the quote that I am sharing with y’all today because I found this very powerful. I guess one of the reasons I found this quote so meaningful and encouraging is because life is not always easy or fun, and we all deal with issues in life that altered our perceptions, but most of the time the challenges we face made us a better version of who were used to be. Change is scary, but a necessity in life!

Do you have any plans for the weekend? I am happy to say that I do not have anything planned, except hopefully having a chance to finish a few posts that I have been working on. One of the reasons I love the weekends as much as I do is that I do not have to do anything that I do not want to do and I do not have to wake up early. Although I am sure I will wake up earlier than I would like, I can rest with the cats on the couch and watch the shows that I enjoy! I am not sure if it is the weather or what the reason is, but I just feel exhausted and do not have the energy needed to deal with any frustrations or unnecessary BS.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I do apologize in advance for the negative tone I might have had, I am just trying to deal with some irritating issues. There was one good thing that happened last week, which was that lying twit Herschel Walker losing😊. It is the simple things in life that bring SO much joy! I am looking forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and you can do anything that brings YOU joy! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Appointment Update and other thoughts

I was unusually nervous about my appointment today with the Neurologist. I always worry they are going to give me the bad news and that the MS is progressing. It is always something that weighs on my mind and remains in the back of my mind. I know it is irrational, but it is a concern that I live with. Thankfully, the appointment went well, and the PA does not think the MS is progressing. She understands that the issues I am experiencing are worse than they have been, but it is something we will be working on. There is another medication she would like for me to try to help the neuropathy pain, but I am not sure I am completely comfortable with it. She also mentioned a therapy that might help with the increased dizziness I have been dealing with as well.

The medication the PA would like for me to try for Neuropathy issues is Lyrica. If anyone reading this has tried this medication, please let me know how it worked for you and if it is worth trying or if I should not bother. I am a little nervous to try different medications and other neurologists have recommended this before, but I refused. Yes, I know I am stubborn and sometimes we must take chances.  I would love to read your opinions on this!

I know the reason I did not sleep well last night is that my nerves were out of control. Crazy how being nervous about a simple appointment can keep you up at night or just not allow for a decent night’s sleep. Of course, I did wake up before the alarm went off, but I did wake up to good news! I do not live in the state of Georgia, but I was focused on the senate run-off election in the state. I was not and never will be a supporter of Herschel Walker because every word that came out of his mouth was a lie. Please excuse me for my next comment, but I did not think someone could lie more than the former President, but Herschel Walker proved me wrong on that!

I am not foolish enough to think any politician is honest, but to hear Herschel Walker speak his lies was offensive and a complete disgrace to the American people. I know how controversial abortion is and everyone has an opinion, but if you have already paid for several, you are obviously not against it. It is hard for me to support any politician because I think honesty is important, but it seems to be a lost personality trait in way too many people. Sometimes it might be hard to be truthful about things and it takes a strong person to overcome this, but it is critical to be truthful!

Is it just me or does it seem like people have lost the ability to be understanding and kind to others? This is something that bothers me tremendously because I feel that people should always be kind to one another. It does not matter if we agree with each other because we are never going to always agree with everything another person does. We are “supposed” to be living in a free country, which to me means we are entitled to our opinions. I know that I am firm in my beliefs and will not allow anyone to change my mind, but I also do not try to change how someone else feels.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you have enjoyed what I have shared, and I do look forward to reading your comments. I will also appreciate any thoughts you may have about Lyrica. I hope you are having a good day and your afternoon is amazing! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Inspirational Wednesday

We have successfully made it through the first part of this week, so we just have the other half left until the weekend returns. How has your week been so far? The way I view things is, if we survived the first part of the week, the second half should be a breeze😊! My week has not been too terrible, and work has been a little slow. The good thing about my job must be the great people I work with. Of course, I have never met any of them in person, but I have made some good friends by getting to know them through email and chats. Most of the people that I work with, I would have loved to work within an office setting!

This morning I must go to my dreaded appointment with my neurologist. I know the Nurse Practitioner means well and so does the doctor, but they never offer good news and I tend to leave the office feeling discouraged. I think it must be because I am overly sensitive when it comes to Multiple Sclerosis issues☹. You would think after dealing with this for over 20 years I would be more accustomed to the random issues, and nothing would bother me, but it still does rub me the wrong way every time. I have tough skin for most things, but still have very thin skin when it comes to this. I feel like I need to go into these appointments with low expectations and expect the worst so that I am not disappointed and upset the rest of the day.

Considering we do have a few days left this week, I think we all need to find ways to remain happy and feel the inspiration to keep going. I hope you will find the quote I am sharing with y’all today as inspiring as I did when I saw it. We all deal with many challenges in life, but it is so important to find ways to be happy, no matter what! I am holding this quote close to my mind today as I am not looking forward to my appointment this morning. I do not like dealing with Multiple Sclerosis or doctor’s appointments, but there is a part of it that has given me the strength I never knew I had!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed the quote I shared, and it provided you with inspiring thoughts for the day! I look forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as I can. Hopefully, I will do a post tonight about how the appointment went and hopefully the Nurse Practitioner will not have awful and discouraging news for me. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Motivational Monday

Welcome back to the beginning of a new week! The weekends are always way too short, but each week brings us new and amazing opportunities. How was your weekend? My weekend was uneventful and peaceful, which was nice. I did even get to sleep in a little on Saturday and the rest of the weekend I just took things slow. Sunday is always my day to get things done and I prefer to relax and rest on Saturday. I also spent a lot of time with our three cats, and there was rarely a time I did not have at least one of them on my lap.

As we have to say our goodbyes to the weekend and start a new week, which might feel long, we all need to find a way to stay motivated. I decided to share this quote with y’all today because I think we can all agree that life is complicated. With that being said, we need to find ways to learn how to be happy despite the challenges we face because there will always be something we must endure. Why not accept and welcome the challenges, instead of trying to ignore them? Sometimes facing issues head-on will make the complications easier in the long run!

Do you have anything going on this week that you are looking forward to or dreading? I have a follow-up appointment on Wednesday with my Neurologist. I know they have their policies, but I think this appointment is senseless and I do not understand why it cannot be done via Zoom. Honestly, this is probably my fault because I reached out to them after my appointment with the pain management doctor due to something I have been experiencing for weeks now. I do not think they need to see me in person to understand what is going on because I explained exactly how I will when I am face-to-face with them. Needless to say, I am not looking forward to this appointment and I am going to flat-out refuse having another MRI!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you found the quote that I shared motivating and each day gets better until the weekend returns. I look forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as possible. No matter what challenges each day throws your way, never forget that you are strong enough to master anything. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Emotional Strength

Strengths we have that can benefit our lives moving forward have nothing to do with our physical strength. It does not matter how much you can lift or carry because the important type of strength is emotional strength. Strong, stable, and healthy emotional strength works as our compass for discovering personal and career success. Just like any other skill, to be able to enjoy all the benefits of emotional strength we must concentrate on the development of this powerful and incredibly beneficial skill.

Those who were emotionally strong can distinguish the difference between what they can and cannot control, and do not waste precious time on what is beyond their control. Emotionally strong people do not give up if they fail, but stand back up, brush themselves off, and try again. Emotionally strong people do not feel resentment when someone else succeeds but will rejoice in others’ success and view it as encouragement.

Emotions are powerful and we all have them. The emotions that we experience at various times can lead us down positive and negative paths. Emotional strength and stability are the main components of our success and happiness in life. Demonstrating the capability to conquer arduous obstacles by viewing them as an opportunity for growth, instead of a nuisance shows emotional strength. Those who have emotional strength have numerous distinct and unique traits that include the following undeniable traits.

Determination:

When you are faced with a problem, you refuse to give up until you find a solution or an answer.

Display Confidence:

Emotionally strong and stable people radiate self-confidence anywhere they go and light up every room. They do not need attention from others. After all, they do not need to know what they are worth because they already know.

Optimistic:

No matter what challenges you face in life, you remain cheerful and see there is hope for your future. You always hold onto faith and see promising and encouraging events moving forward in life.

Self-Awareness:

We will face many things in life that we cannot control, but the people we allow in our life we can control. Those that are emotionally strong have a deep understanding of this and surround themselves with others that are a positive influence and reflect who they are. It is not easy, but it is necessary to remove those from our lives that are holding us back from living a positive life.

Focus On Strengths:

People who are emotionally strong focus on what they are doing right and do not get caught up with what they are lacking. They understand what their strengths are. This does not mean they do not try to improve, but it does mean they can comprehend focusing completely on what they lack will only create self-doubt.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you are enjoying your weekend and you enjoyed what I have shared in this post. I know there are many more traits of emotionally strong people, but I did not want to have you read a super long post. I do look forward to reading your comments and I will respond as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, this is the last day of our weekend, but we do have today remaining to enjoy before we begin another week. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!
