We have finally made it through this insanely LONG week and the weekend is to arrive soon. I know it was the same amount of time as every other week, but the past five days have been brutal. Actually, who am I kidding, the past several weeks have been ruthless! The only good thing that came out of this past week was the temperatures have been a little milder. Instead of it being in the high 90’s or low 100’s during the day, it has only been in the high 80’s, which I will take instead of any higher. I do not do well with high temperatures, it makes me completely miserable.
The week is finally over and we will be able to enjoy the weekend. We should be able to do whatever brings us the most joy during the extremely short weekend. I am just delighted that I do not have to sit and stare at a computer screen and get up early the next two days. We can all probably agree that weekdays can create a lot of negative emotions, whether it be work-related or other, we need to be able to let those feelings go. The only thing negative emotions do is cause stress and frustrations, so why bring that into the short weekend? No matter what anyone says, nobody is perfect and they do not have a perfect life. The only thing we can do is try our best and avoid stressing over an outcome we have no control over!
Now that the weekend will be here in a few hours, do you have anything planned? I mentioned the other day that I want to get the daith piercing, but I might wait until my birthday to do it, but who knows? If this is something that truly helps headaches, I cannot see a reason to wait another month. Does anyone have any advice on this? Other than possibly doing that, I have nothing else planned besides recuperating from the week and getting some much needed rest.

I’m so happy the temperature is getting cooler for all of us. I know the heat causes a lot of unpleasant symptoms and makes us feel miserable. Thank goodness fall is on its way.
I believe any day of the week can create negative emotions if we allow it. Just turn the TV on and take the news for example. That’s enough to put most of us in a very saddened state of mind. If you think about it, we only have two choices. We can remain positive or let all the negativity, violence and hatred consume us to the point that we no longer find joy in life. What good comes out of that? Why waste the life God has given us? We cannot allow anything or anyone to have that kind of control over our life and steal the joy we so deserve.
I definitely agree with you. Nobody is perfect with a perfect life. We all make mistakes but that’s how we learn and grow and become better people. Unfortunately we can’t control everything but we can control how we react to it and that’s what matters. We need to keep reminding ourselves that stressing over something we have no control over won’t change anything. Say this prayer the next time you find yourself in this situation. God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference. This just might help relieve the anxiety you feel and calm your mind.
All my Love & Support, Mom!!
