The Five Wishes Game

I have good news for y’all, we are halfway through this week and so close to the weekend. How has this week been for you? I hope it has been a good week and you are feeling well. It often feels like the weeks get long or just drag by and then the weekends fly by in the blink of an eye. If only the weekends were five days, and the weekdays were two. As children, most of us wanted to be adults, but we did not understand what that meant.

Has anyone ever thought about what it would be like to have a genie in a bottle that could fulfill five wishes? I think that would be an amazing thing and it could do some wonderful things for the world. Of course, now I am going to ask you what your five wishes would be and why? I think this can be a fun thing to do and allow everyone to get to know one another because wishes can say a lot about a person.

I think it is only fair that I play along and share what mine would be with you. My first wish would be to end the pain people in the world feel. The reason this would be one of my wishes is that I know how awful pain is and what it does to someone’s mental health. No one in this world should have to suffer from something so detrimental to one’s being. Pain can make someone feel alone, down on themselves, sad, angry, and a load of other negative emotions.

My second wish would be for there to be world peace. Life is already challenging enough without all the hatred that fills the emptiness in a person’s heart. Everyone should be treated fairly, equally, and with respect. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the way things are because there is still way too much discrimination in every place around the world. I never saw things being this bad before, but that is probably because I was naïve and or too blind to see things the way they were.

My third wish would be that no one would ever go hungry. The United States where I live has so much wealth, but it is not evenly distributed. Some people have more money than they could ever spend in five lifetimes, so if they could share a little with those that are less fortunate no person would ever go without being fed. I know some might argue that those with ridiculous amounts of money worked hard for it and maybe some were not able to. But what does it matter?

My fourth wish would be that cures would be found for all the illnesses that plague the lives of so many. Heart disease is the #1 killer and Cancer is the #2 killer of people around the world. Other illnesses such as Dementia, Huntington’s disease, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, and the list goes on brings so many awful things to a person’s life, and they did nothing to deserve this kind of cruelty.

The last wish I would have would be that no child would ever experience child abuse of any kind. This abuse includes physical, sexual, emotional, and neglect. The effects of child abuse can be a lifelong battle this child will experience into adulthood. Children are innocent and should be protected because they are not able to do much to get out of the abusive environment.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared today, and I look forward to reading what your five wishes would be. I thought this might be fun to do or at least interesting. If only our wishes could come true, the world would be much easier to handle. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Always, Alyssa

    • You are too sweet and cute! I get the free Chili’s delivery because that would be amazing. Have you looked into DoorDash? I have used them because I do not go many places anymore. I can send you an invite because it might provide you with perks! And heck yeah, one day with no pain would be amazing!

      • Oh, I love DoorDash! I have used them several times but I have to be careful because of dietary restrictions. Still, some days you just have to have a burger, right?! I also rely on InstaCart to do some of my shopping and I love the Target drive up and go service. I don’t go to many places either because of *everything* and right now Colorado is experiencing a Covid surge and our hospitals are really close to being maxed out.

      • I am with you 100%! DoorDash is great and if they mess something up, they refund your money. I do like a good burger every once in a while! I have used InstaCart, but use Shipt weekly because I do not go to stores anymore. WOW, I did not realize CO was having issues. My husband wants to move either CO, CA, or Canada, but I prefer to not be landlocked. I love the beach, even though we have not been in several years. He loves snowboarding and honesty there are other reasons he wants to move to CO:),

      • Co had been doing well Covid-wise and then suddenly a few weeks ago our numbers started to spike and now the hospitals are over 90% full and there are less than 100 ICU beds in the entire state. I am so sticking close to home!! I do miss the ocean; we came here from San Diego, but I have to say that yo can never have a bad day in the mountains. 🙂 We have some big mountain lakes that are great for lots of water sports, too.
I got great Asian food last night from DoorDash!

      • I have heard great things about CO, but my supervisor moved to TX because she hated the politics in CO. You can guess what she believes in. I have also heard that San Diego was beautiful. I love the ocean because it makes me feel so comfortable and stress free, which is huge because I stress about everything.
I am glad you had some good food from DoorDash. They can do things well, but there is always those off days when they mess up.

      • You are too funny! I think sometimes, it is not DoorDash’s fault and the place ordering from messed up. At least that is what I have noticed. I have only had things come wrong a hand full of times, but I guess it is what it is. I am glad you recovered from the missing milkshake:)!

      • I am so sick of the lies. Last week I was out blowing the leaves into piles and my neighbor sent out their (unvaccinated) child to help me. I declined, so they came out to see why I wouldn’t let her rake my leaves with me. I had to explain AGAIN about Covid and this time it finally sank in. The father said, in amazement, “you mean that the vaccine won’t protect you?” even though I had explained it to them before. They don’t mask or take any precautions, and aren’t vaccinated, so the kids aren’t either. They have bought all the lies. They also think that I’m crazy paranoid, but whatever…

      • I am right there with you. I have been sick and tired of the lies, and the ignorant that believe the lies. These types are part of the big problem. It is sad that most of the most ignorant people have the most children and then wonder why they are getting sick. Who cares what they think, you have to protect yourself!
