Motivational Monday

Happy Monday y’all! I hope you had a nice weekend and you are ready to start a new week. It seems like the weekends go by so fast and my weekend was a little stressful. Our poor older cat is sick again and he has many expressions so it is easy to know when he is not feeling well. It was hard for me because I was not able to do anything to help him feel better, but I did what I could offer him is comfort and love. I am confident he has the same type of infection he did a couple of months ago and he needs an antibiotic. I left two voicemails and one email for his doctor’s office, but will be calling them again right when they open. I am not a doctor, but I do think because he has been on a steroid for many years for his asthma, his little immune system is weak and whatever infection the two kittens have that does not bother them at all, causes the poor boy many issues. I plan on addressing this with the doctor because I do not think he needs to be on the steroid any longer and it is only causing issues with his organs and health.

As we begin a new week and leave the weekend behind us, I think we could all use a little motivation to start the week off in the best mindset. It is never easy ending a short weekend and start another long week, but we are all full of determination and tenacity. The weeks might be filled with what seems like endless responsibilities and must-do things, but we all manage these challenges with grace. I hope you find the motivation within the quote I am sharing with y’all today because I think the message it holds is important and we must try to remember this daily. It does not matter what challenges we face or how hard it seems, we will all make it through whatever is put on our shoulders. It is not always easy to see the light at the end of a dark tunnel, but in time we will see the bright light again!

We all know that COVID is still running rampant throughout the world. I think y’all know how much this enrages me because it is putting a stop to the way we want to live our life. It does not need to be this way. The vaccine is free and available to everyone. The vaccine and masks are stopping the spread and hindering the chance for new and more deadly variants to arise. In my opinion, it is the people that are refusing to get vaccinated and or wear masks that are the bigger problem. If everyone would do what is right and follow the advice from the experts, we could be in a better place in life. It is not fair that those of us that have been fully vaccinated still have to live in fear because of underlying health conditions making some more at risk for COVID. This is not political as no politician created the vaccines and this is not risking any person’s freedom, but it is risking the freedom of those that want to live.

Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you enjoyed what I have shared today and I look forward to reading your comments. I hope you have a great start to this week and it only gets better with each day that passes. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and MANY positive vibes!

Always, Alyssa

  1. I had a hard time adjusting to regular people after being in a 15 person pain group

One day in group it hit me, these are my peers, now

You would never want to be in that room

The hardest thing for them was taking action

It’s a mindset that permeated that room

I had to stand up, challenge them to follow me

You have to know that chasing chronic pain with a short term option is impossible

Chronic pain does no harm unless it reaches an intensity we can not handle

Here is another post if you are still interested

  2. You were the reason I just smiled. Thank you. The fact that you care so much about other people and strive to inspire and empower them is so refreshing. This world would definitely be a better place if we all had that same mindset. If you think about it, doesn’t it take the same amount of thought and energy to be kind as it does to be hateful? Which would you rather be known for? An act of kindness or an act of hatred? Which action would make you feel proud as a parent to see in your child? This answer could change the world.
As a parent, whether we have a two legged child or a four legged child we will always put their needs first. And as a parent we know our children better than anyone else. Always follow your instincts and you’ll never go wrong. Sundance, Luna and Willow are so fortunate to have such a loving and caring Mommy. Thanks to your persistence, Sundance will be on his way to recovery and back to his old self before you know it. Good job!
As for COVID there are new variants just around the corner. It really is unfortunate that some people continue to refuse the vaccine. I know we all have free will, but when one’s decision can negatively impact the lives of so many shouldn’t you rethink that decision? It is a scary thought to know you’re fully vaccinated and yet still at risk for this deadly virus, especially if you’re immunocompromised. It’s dreadful to feel like a hostage in your own home, unable to live a full and happy life. We ask ourselves, how long before I can resume a normal life? Does anybody know that answer? We never know when our time is up. Shouldn’t we be able to live without fear of dying? It’s our responsibility to protect the one’s we love, family, friends, and even the people we haven’t met yet. Let’s all come together for the good of each other and make this world a safer place. Let’s start living again!! All my Love & Support, Mom!!
