All We Are Able To Do Is, Never Give Up!

Happy Monday y’all! It is never easy to begin another LONG week, but I do believe we all have the strength to do so! How was your weekend? I do hope you had a lovely and safe weekend. Are you ready to begin this new week off with nothing but positivity? I hope you are because each new week offers us another chance to make it be an amazing week full of opportunities!

My weekend was pretty uneventful, which was great because I was not feeling all that great. On Saturday, I started having a sore throat, which is very common for me because I end up dealing with this every time there is a change in seasons. Considering this was nothing new, I was not at all concerned, and believe me because of COVID, I would have been. On Sunday I also started having increased back and leg pain which was not any fun at all. I guess it is a good thing I am used to not leaving the house because I do not think I could have left the house. I guess another good thing is I have lived through pain for so long, it is just part of life for me and I don’t let it bother me too horribly and try to keep moving forward!

As we are beginning another week, I think a motivating quote could be helpful! I do hope you will find the quote I am sharing motivating enough to get your week started off the right way. I am looking forward to reading your thoughts on the quote and I promise to respond as quickly as I can. Let me just say the reason I love this quote so much is because we all have storms of life we battle and if we do not keep going we will never find the rainbow that will appear. I would also love the chance to read how your weekend was!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site today. I am so sorry that I did not finish a post I have been working on over the weekend, but after reading about my weekend, you can understand why I was not able to. I hope your week starts off great and only get better with each day until Friday! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and many positive vibes!

Always, Alyssa

I can think of several storms that I have researched and found that the promise of a brighter tomorrow was the moral of the story. We often address the nature of the stress right in front of our face. How often should we lean on or be carried by one who wants us to rely on Him when our strength is weak. I have learned that it is hard to give up, due to selfish desire, my shortcomings and let another take my burdens and give me strength through the storms of my life. I want to be the one to figure out the path on my own. Often THAT path is the one that leads to more hardship than if my will was surrendered. I am probably diving too deep without asking to speak freely but this complex disease has taught me that I am not the one who has control. This all was due to a bee sting that I didn’t pay enough attention to. There is an object lesson for the day.
This weekend was one of pure joy. We were able to celebrate my birthday, my youngest daughters birthday, my wife’s new job, my son in laws passing of boards, and probably a few more of life’s milestones. We had the resources to take everyone to a nice dinner and spend the balance of the evening with a riotous board game that led to much discussion and laughter. The house is now quiet and the cheer has faded but the sun streaming through the windows reminds me of the great time that was had and the experience that all enjoyed. It leaves a warm place in my heart as I bask in the solitude that is my current life journey.
Your rainbow reminds me of the trip out west last summer and probably one of this country’s most beautiful places. We had driven to Glacier National Park and experienced the Going-to-the -Sun road. It had started snowing during our trip back down the mountain and raining at the bottom. My wife had been quite wrapped up in taking pictures that she didn’t realize how high we were. Once it started to snow she stopped with the shutter clicking and just looked out. She was absolutely terrified. We were in one of the most beautiful places and terror gripped her and would not let go. When we made it down the mountain there was a double rainbow over the lake. She got out to take a few more pictures and ended up directly under, as my perspective was, the end of the rainbow. I couldn’t help taking a picture to capture that moment as I have found her to be the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Life brings us so many stumbling blocks that we can often find many excuses not even to get out of bed. But the more we face the challenges with solid resolve the more we find the most beautiful vistas that provide us with the motivation to put one more foot in front of the other. They say the journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. I have found it hard from time to time to roll out from the safety of my bed but if I do not the anticipation of finding that next beautiful rainbow quickly wanes and my strength goes into the direct opposite direction.

I just love and appreciate your positive attitude not only on Mondays, but everyday of the week. It really takes a strong and courageous person living with pain everyday and yet still offering so many of us hope and encouragement. It’s easy sometimes when life seems bleak and we feel defeated to want to give up and just throw in the towel. I believe because of you and your inspirational thoughts a lot of us are determined to keep fighting and never give up. We will see our story to the end. I thank you for your commitment not just to yourself, but to all of us following you. You definitely have a kind heart and a kind spirit. All my Love & Support, Mom!!

Thank you! I am glad I am able to offer positivity to others. Life does get challenging, but we can’t give up the fight. We might not know right now, but there is a plan for each of us.
