Let It Go Friday!

Let’s Enjoy A Safe And Happy Weekend!

Happy Friday y’all! How was your week? I know you are all probably looking forward to the weekend, I know I am! Is it just me or are the weekends continuing to get shorter? Sometimes the weeks feel incredibly long and then the weekend is over in the blink of an eye. I guess maybe that speaks volumes and I am just getting old!

Now that the week is coming to an end, it is time to let go of anything negative that occurred during the week. There is no use allowing for negative emotions to derail the weekend we all look forward to. I think the only thing that really happened to me this past week that was negative was my frustrations with myself. I can admit that I tend to not only be my own worse critic, but I am also way too hard on myself. I know this is something I need to work on and I promise I am trying! I do hope the quote I want to share with y’all today will help you let go of anything that might be causing you unpleasant emotions and help you enjoy your life and weekend to the fullest!

I love Maya Angelou and I really hope you enjoyed her quote! I am looking forward to reading your thoughts and promise to respond as quickly as I possibly can! I have several more of Maya’s quotes to share with you in the next few weeks!

Thank y’all for visiting my site today! I hope whatever your plans are for the weekend, you will do everything you can to keep yourself and family safe. Unfortunately, we still have not seen the end of COVID-19, so this means we all need to work together by practicing ALL the safety practices the professionals are telling us! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, support, and many positive vibes!

Always, Alyssa

  1. Thank you for the pick me up this morning. It’s been forever since I’ve logged in and certainly since I’ve written anything. I get lost and maybe a little overwhelmed with this site but I now digress. Thank you for your continued positivity and just for the record I like the Angelou quotes that you provided. The power of the mind is a great thing. My physical therapist and I had a discussion of that yesterday. MS is a revealer of our hang ups with ourselves and it shows where we need refinement. If we go through this crucible, we can be assured that life is as we make it. It (life) is not here to serve us but begs the question of what can we do for someone today. Service is hard when we focus on self serving. When we gaze outwardly and serve others our mere existence unfolds like a flower in the morning dew. Thank you for your encouragement through your published thoughts.
