Finally, Good News!

Good things come, to those that wait!

I hope your weekend is starting off well and you are looking forward to a relaxing and safe couple of days! With things being so uncertain and unsafe at the moment it can be difficult to do the things we want to do. We are forced to take precautions that even though we have been dealing with for several months can still be challenging and extremely frustrating. Wearing a mask everywhere we go outside our homes is uncomfortable and make it difficult to enjoy what we are doing. I keep telling myself a little discomfort is much better than the alternative.

I think y’all already know how much I wanted to find a work from home job. I wanted this in part because of COVID-19, but also for my comfort. It can be so aggravating getting ready every morning, driving through traffic with people that are terrible drivers, going on a half-hour lunch, or maybe an hour lunch, then the drive home with terrible drivers again for five days in a row is simply exhausting! After being unemployed and searching for a work from home job, it finally happened for me! I had an interview on Wednesday and got the offer on Friday afternoon.

It isn’t easy to be patient when we really want things to happen, but I do believe good things happen to those who wait. I am honestly not the most patient person in the world, but I am persistent and very determined and I am learning to be more patient. The good news is, I am going to start on July 6 and it is work I am familiar with because I did it for 3 years before we moved.

Between now and July 6 I am going to keep up with the number of posts I have been doing, but might not be able to do as much once I start working full-time again. Considering I truly love blogging and writing as much as I can I am going to try to keep up, but we will see what the future holds!

Thank you for visiting my site today. I do always appreciate all your support and kind ways. I hope you have a great weekend, but PLEASE stay safe. Unfortunately, things are not back to normal or safe and I am not even sure if they will be anytime soon. It is just better safe than sorry, so please continue practicing all the well known safety protocols. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love, comfort, and many positive vibes!

Always, Alyssa

    • Thank you so much! Now is a good time to find a work from home job because many companies are going this way with their business. What kind of work do you do? I would be happy to give you the recruiters information that helped me get this job! Just let me know!

      • Thanks! : ) I am not sure if you can help though since I am in EU, Croatia. I was a journalist in culture, writer, and I worked in mental health advocacy. Also, I was a teacher.

      • That is amazing! Journalism was my dream job because of how much I love writing. I missed that chance, so blogging is how I am able to do what I love doing, writing! We need more mental health advocates. The US doesn’t take care of mental health needs and only makes people feel ashamed. Our president is a prime example of why we need mental health advocates!! What did you teach? How are things in Croatia with COVID?

      • We were doing ok regarding COVID. Our expert team is brilliant, but people won’t listen anymore. ; ( And it is getting worse. I guess I am in trouble because I was saying some things that some people wanted under the carpet in advocacy and education policies. I wasn’t fired, but I left my work. I taught subjects for uni and grammar for individuals. My major is Philosophy and another Croatian Language with Literature.

      • It is terrible when people just stop listening. I think they are saying the US is doing worse than most countries. I think there are too many people listening to the lies coming out of the president’s mouth. But that is just my opinion. That is great what you were doing and I still think we need more people like you. I just looked up pictures of your country and it looks so beautiful!

      • Thanks! My country is very old, it had a long and hard history. A lot of Croats were immigrants in the US. There is more of us abroad than in the country. In old times they would always tell this story if asked about their country: God created a country for every nation, but He forgot the Croat. So he asked God where is he supposed to live. And God told him that there is a small piece of the land He left for himself on earth and invited the Croat to inhabit it.

Croats are known to be very loyal to the country they live in, but there is always this longing for home.

    • Thank you so much! I haven’t worked since February and I am losing my mind. What kind of work would you want to do? A lot of companies, including Amazon, are doing a lot more with work from home. I would be happy to give you the information for the recruiter that helped me, just let me know what you think about that!

    • Thank you so much Caz! I am going to be working for a mortgage company making sure all the information needed is in the file and handling things when they aren’t. I hated not working and with COVID numbers increasing as much as they are, I am not able to work in an office. I might not be patient, but I am always determined. I do not really just look towards the future, but my mind thinks days in advance. I am finally able to just breathe and feel very relieved. My husband has told me I do not need to work right now, but I need to. It is just who I am. I do appreciate your kind words and support Caz, you are pretty amazing yourself!!! xxxx
