Happy Friday y’all! I hope you had a great week and you are looking forward to the weekend! We finally made it to the end of the week and we can now enjoy two days of freedom from the workplace. There will be no alarms waking us up and disturbing our dream land. There are so many times the alarm goes off at the wrong time we are awaken to reality, which isn’t always the greatest. The two days we have for a weekend go by so fast, so I hope you are able to enjoy them!
While Friday is the end of the week, it can also be used to let go of anything that happened during the week that may have left us disappointed and upset. If you are anything like me, which for own benefit I hope you aren’t because I tend to worry about everything and anything. The bad thing is I am logical enough to know that there is no amount of stress or worry that will charge the outcome of any situation, but yet I still can’t seem to stop the vicious cycle of worry and stress. Even though the quote I am sharing today does not have anything to do with letting go, it is a nice remind that worrying only prevents our own peace! I know it is easier said than done, but it is worth trying to not allow our worries to destroy our happiness and peace of mind! We only live once and should do all we can to enjoy the life we were given.
One way I have found helps me take a step back, breath, and move forward is music. I believe music can have a powerful impact on our lives if we try to listen not only to the words, but the musical instruments as well. You might enjoy the sound of the beating drums or the strum of a guitar or the beauty of a piano, or just turning up the radio might help relieve the stress you are feeling. I know when I get home from work, I listen to random songs that ease my mind from the stresses the day brought on me. I will listen to the music I treasure while writing a blog post or to completely zoning out not having to listen to any other difficulties. The magical combination of music and writing serve as the best form of therapy, or at least it does for me. At the end of the day, what do you do to unwind from a long day? There is no right or wrong answer, what works for one person might not help another in the same way. I am planning to get caught up on posts from my blogger friends this week and I will definitely have the music playing in my ear to do this!
I am looking forward to reading your comments on the quote I shared and your answers to the question I asked, no pressure though! Thank you so much for visiting my site today. I hope you have a wonderful Friday and it is followed by a joyful weekend doing what brings you the most happiness! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love
, comfort, and many positive vibes! I do want to ask one more thing from y’all, please keep those in Australia in your thoughts and prayers and send them as many positive vibes and love
as you possibly can, they can definitely use your kind thoughts! It breaks my heart to know what they are going through and seeing the innocent animals on the news is crushing.
Always, Alyssa
Thank you for sharing!!.. I look forward to every day because every day is a new adventure!.. 🙂
Hope your tomorrows are filled with peace, love and happiness and life is all that you wish for it to be!.. 🙂

I love the quote about worry, and have to remind myself of that often. Worrying really is of no benefit at all. I guess we think we’re doing something about things when we’re worrying about them. All we’re really doing is making ourselves miserable…. I hope you have a fabulous weekend sweet friend!

Thank you Terri! You are so right, allowing ourselves to worry and stress only makes us miserable. I always wonder why we torture ourselves, when we tend to know better! I hope you have an amazing weekend!!!

I used to listen to music all the time.. it’s another thing that went by the wayside somewhat along with anything else I enjoyed or did as a hobby. You’re right though, it really can help emotionally and mentally with soothing or energising, helping you change tracks in your head, so to speak! How has work been going at the new job? Hope it’s been going okay. Rest up & have a relaxing weekend lovely!

Music definitely has many benefits and I hate it has fallen by the waysides for you. What kind of music did you used to listen to? I have several songs that help me release the stress I feel and some that are a lifesaver. The new job is going okay. It has been a lot to learn, but I think I am getting there. How have you been doing? I am so sorry that I have gotten so far behind on reading other’s posts, but I am trying to get back to a caught up place! I hope your weekend is great Caz! xx

Mostly rock type stuff, but I had/have a wide range of music that I like depending on my mood or how I want to feel, from current pop to 80s cheese to heavy metal. Bit of everything 🙂
Don’t worry about catching up on blog posts. I feel like I’m constantly falling behind and it’s exhausting. You’ve got enough on with work, other posts can wait. Glad the job’s going okay though – you’re a very smart cookie so all that new stuff to learn will be fine, I know you’ll be doing brilliantly so try not to put too much pressure on yourself. Hope the week ahead is a good one for you lovely xx

You are and I are so much alike! Rock tends to be what I listen to, but I do enjoy most music. The only music I do not listen to music is country because it tends to be sad. Thank you so much for your kind, supportive, and very encouraging words Caz, you are a pretty amazing person. I am very thankful to have you as a friend! I hope you are doing well and of course feeling the best you can. Even with all I have going on in life, I am still very determined to get involved with freelance writing. I guess I figure, life is short and we should do what we love. Thank you again for your sweet ways Caz!!!!!

I’m lucky because I have a long train commute at the end of the day, so I can listen to music, which I really love to do!

That is great!!! Music is a powerful thing and offers so much comfort. You ride a train to and from work? That sounds pretty interesting. What is your music of choice?

It’s pretty eclectic—anything but old school country or opera!
