Happy Friday Eve y’all! I hope your week went well and you are looking forward to the weekend! One of many things I am not great at is waiting! Y’all already know that I quit my previous job because it was well, awful and I accepted another position. So here is where the waiting comes into play. Of course most jobs do background checks, right? Well, one of the states I lived in about 20 years ago is taking forever to get them what they requested! It makes no sense at all, I was barely an adult when I lived there
and sure as hell do not have anything negative in my background! In the event that state doesn’t get my new job the report requested, I may have to wait another week before I am able to start. Now another week off work is great, but it is also unpaid and who can afford that, especially around Christmas?
I hope once you read the quote I wanted to share with you today, I hope you will find it a pick me up to get through one last day before the weekend starts!
It seems like there are some days that make us fight a little harder for sanity and happiness, but I guess we do what we have to do! I feel strongly that we are not given anything in life we can’t handle and ALL the struggles we face makes us that much stronger. I guess sometimes a little extra fight, determination, positivity and sheer will is how we make it in this crazy life!
I am looking forward to reading your amazing thoughts on this quote because I know your thoughts are brilliant! In the event my start day is postponed another week it might actually be a good thing because it will give me an extra chance to dip my toes in something that I am wanting to try my hand in! Even if we do not know it, everything in life happens for a reason and it happens when it is meant to!
I hope y’all have a wonderful day and you are feeling as great as you can. I want y’all to know how much I appreciate each and everyone of you and value the friendship we have made. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love , comfort and many positive vibes!
Always, Alyssa

Hello, Alyssa… If everything else checks out on your background check, would this new place really hold you up an entire week over something from when you were a young adult?
That seems to me a bit ridiculous. Have you tried reaching the other party to see what the hold up is? Maybe if you lit a fire under their butts, you might get somehere with them.
I really hope that this issue gets resolved quickly.
Hang in there, Sweetie!! 💓

The insane thing is, they were going to delay my start date, but I made some calls about the background. Everything was cleared today and I can start on Monday! I don’t know if I could handle another week without work/pay!

That’s great news, Alyssa. I’m so hay that everything worked itself out. 😁

The wheels of bureaucracy unfortunately churn very slowly

They definitely run way too slow, but I managed to get things moving faster!!!! The Yankee in me came out when talking with someone in NH, but she started it!!

I definitely can use extra fight, a positive attitude and the will to keep going. You know unexpected things that happen can really throw you off track. Especially when you had no idea it was coming. Here you go along thinking you’re doing a good job and much to your surprise find out not so much. What a blow to your whole outlook on things. Something like this is so hard to get over and move on. That extra fight is hard to find. All my Love & Support, Mom!!
