Motivational Monday!

smile its mondayHello y’all! I hope you had a lovely weekend and you are ready for another week. This is so incredibly NOT like me, but I actually slept on and off pretty much all day Saturday and then did hardly anything Sunday. I guess all those days not getting near enough sleep finally caught up with me. How was your weekend? I hope if there was anything you wanted to do you were able to!

The quote I am sharing with y’all today is actually one my husband told me about. As soon as he told me about this quote, I knew I had to share it with y’all because I think it is very uplifting and motivating! I have always thought that our attitudes towards any situations can make it extremely difficult or make it fairly easy to handle. October+2018+(2)

I guess I have always tried handling life with a positive mindset because if we have  negative thoughts, nothing will ever go well. I know at work if just one person comes in while in a bad mood, those feelings are contagious causing everyone else to have a bad positive mondayday. Although that might just be me because I tend to be a little too compassionate to others feelings and when someone I know well is having a hard time it actually hurts me.

I do look forward to reading your thoughts about this quote because I know y’all have strong emotions and feelings. I hope you have a great start to your week and your week only gets better. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love ❤, comfort, and many positive vibes!

P.S I am working on a post about Alzheimer Awareness Month, which hopefully I will be done with by the end of the week!

  1. I kept waking up last night and got little sleep. I am off work tomorrow to get my sleep back thankfully.

I had a bad day last tuesday. I spent over $900 getting my car fixed and they couldn’t even fix everything for me. I am still working on overcoming that hurdle completely. I am working on thinking positive after a not so great past 2 days too.

    • I am so sorry you didn’t sleep much last night. I hope you get a good night’s sleep tonight and then enjoy your “weekend”!

WOW! That is an awful lot of money and yet your car still isn’t fixed. I strongly dislike car people because I feel they are not honest! I know it isn’t easy, especially with what you are dealing with, but things will get better and I hope they do soon!!!

  2. Excellent quote! Very true indeed. You and I sound like we had the same kind of weekend.
Just trying desperately to catch up on rest. I lived the life of a cat. Slept, ate a little, potty break, back to sleep. The increase in meds really have been doing the trick, but I feel dulled out from them.
I hope my body adjusts soon.
I hope you have a great week… Don’t allow anyone to steal your positive attitude away from you! 🙏

    • Thank you Beckie! We apparently had a great weekend! It felt so great to sleep on and off, but my goodness I still feel pretty darn tired! The life of a cat is great and we should try it more often! I hope your medication adjustment helps you and you adjust well.
I hope you have a great week. Today I did well not allowing anyone to steal my positivity, I actually didn’t speak 2 words to my boss and hardly spoke to my co-workers all day! It made for a good day!

  3. I believe every challenge that comes our way should be looked upon as an adventure. That sometimes is easier said than done. And yes our attitude can make the difference. But what happens when you’re in a bad mood and have no idea why? It’s really hard to be positive and not make a mountain out of a mohill, right? Maybe when feeling this way we need to put our emotions on hold and not act in haste. Why is it always more difficult to do the right thing? Do you all find that to be true? Have a great week Alyssa. • It is not easy when we are in a bad mood and don’t know why we are. I think that bad mood might be a cry for us to take care of ourselves and just LOTS of alone time! When I am in a bad mood, I do not want to talk to anyone, not even my sweet cats. When I am in a really bad mood everything irritates me and my cats know all my buttons to push!

  4. While it may not look or feel like an adventure while you are in it, telling it to yourself or others later can make all the difference in how you remember it and feel it later.
And of course it is great when you Can see it as an adventure in the moment – laughter is great for that 😊
    Have a wonderful week Alyssa!

  5. You are really not alone, Alyssa. When I see people upset that often upsets me, but when I see someone in a bad mood I try to stay positive and help them smile! Sometimes it just cannot be done though. We all have bad days and it can’t be helped 🙃 Lovely post and have a good week!
