Good morning y’all! I hope you have had a great week and you are looking forward to a fantastic weekend! I am thrilled that I do not work this weekend and hope to be able to sleep in and relax. For some reason, this week has been difficult for me. I think between stress, frustrations, and the non-stop changes in weather I just need some down time.
In the past I used to tell myself to keep my expectations low, just to protect myself from unnecessary disappoints. I followed this belief for a really long time, but managed to start expecting way too much from people lately. Now I think to keep low-expectations of everyone is just the best way to live and to protect myself from hardships. This is why the quote I am sharing today has so much meaning to me, especially right now!
Even though I am going to start having low-expectations of people, I will still hold on tight to hope. I do know how negative this might sound, but I do believe we all need to do what is best for ourselves.

I hope you get what you need over your weekend off. I unfortunately never get a weekend off unless I request for it.
I always have my expectations high for the people close to me. I don’t think it is good for me either though because I like to keep their expectations of me low. That doesn’t work though because my boyfriend sets his high for me.

I have learned over the past few months or so, keeping expectations low for everyone is better! If we keep our expectations low, the chances of being disappointed are lower! If your boyfriend has high expectations for you, he needs to give you the same.

I think that’s a very smart way to go, and it’s what I try to do too – keep my expectations low (and I’m also v.sceptical!) but always have hope for the best regardless, even if it’s just a little.
Honestly, everything this past week has been going wrong. I was hoping, after the last two weeks of high stress and busy-nss, that this week would be a positive one. D’oh! I might just hibernate this weekend to avoid anything else going wrong 😂

Thank you Caz! It isn’t easy to do, but keeping expectations low for people saves us from being hurt and disappointed. I have set myself up for heartache too many times because I had high expectations for others. Over the past few months, I have been disappointed way too many times.
I am planning to do nothing over the weekend. I will go grocery shopping because it has to be done and I want to go to Bath& Body Works. Other than that, I am going to hibernate over the weekend as much as I can! I hope your weekend is great! xxxx

I do plan to not think about that place I work at and that idiot moron boss! I plan to do as little as possible. I will grocery shop because I have to and I want to go to Bath & Body Works to smell this new scent they have! I am glad you liked the quote!
