Your dreams can become reality!

Turn-Your-Dreams-Into-Reality-lSo often we will sit daydreaming about random things. Sadly, we often feel that our precious dreams are unreachable because they seem so outlandish. In hindsight, anything is possible with enough determination and courage.

What is something you have dreamt about for as long as you can remember? Have you ever thought about the steps you couldyour reality take to make that dream your reality? Of those dreams you hold onto, has any of them come true? Or if some of these dreams never made it to reality yet, do you know why?

Something I have dreamt about and wanted for so many years is to be able to write a book, but I still have yet to accomplish this. I have asked myself time and time again why something I want so badly hasn’t come into fruition. Honestly the only answer I can come up with is I discourage myself with thoughts like I am not good enough or I can’t do it. Those negative thoughts have held me train-your-mind-to-seeback for way too many years and I am going to start fighting against them! I really want to make my dreams come true and I know in my heart I will.

Most of the time I think we are often our own worst enemy in life. I can say without any doubt or hesitation that I am my biggest and hardest critic. How do you get past this in life? How do you look past your own criticism and start Simple Pbelieving in yourself? Training your mind to know your strengths and using them is not easy, but it must be doable because look at how many others do achieve their goals.

When you take a step back and look at your life the way it is currently, are you living the life you want and are you happy? Are you proud of what you have accomplished? Are you able to enjoy the simple pleasures life has to offer? Personally, I like living a calm and drama free life style. I know there are many out there that enjoy having conflicts and constant issues because that makes them image-752575feel excited for some reason. I will never understand that frame of mind. I told someone the other day the only drama I like is General Hospital because that isn’t real! I think all drama brings to life is stress and pain! I also think that those of us living with a chronic illness already have enough to deal with and anything else is just unnecessary!

This post was just to share things with y’all that I was pondering and wanted to be able to read your thoughts about images (7)daydreaming and turning dreams into reality. I enjoy sharing my thoughts with you and then reading your comments because they are always amazing.

Thank you so much for visiting my site today! I do appreciate your continued support! I hope y’all have enjoyed your weekend and you are feeling the best you possibly can. Please know that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love ❤, comfort, and many positive vibes!

  1. Do continue writing. Even though I have completed a manuscript, it is not yet published. Nevertheless finishing it made me proud of myself for the accomplishment. I am confident that you write your book, you will feel accomplished and proud. There’s nothing better. Stay positive!

    • Thank you so much! I will definitely keep writing because it is one of my strongest passions! How did you go about writing the manuscript? I know I will be proud of myself when I do finally finish my book! How long did it take you to write yours? I appreciate your kind and encouraging words!!!!

      • I wrote off and on, sometimes a full day, sometimes not for days. It took 4 years to complete it. It started as a three-page letter via email to my friends to explain why I had left my ex-husband after a domestic violence incident. Then it became a journal. Then at the insistence of a few who read it, a manuscript. It was therapy for me. If you write what you know, it can only be a positive experience.

      • That is pretty amazing how you started your manuscript. I hate to read you were in an abusive relationship before because that is something no one should ever deal with. During my childhood, my mother was in a relationship like that and it is awful. Writing has always been something I not only enjoyed and was passionate about, but it is also great therapy. The book I was to write is loosely based on a true story, my story of being diagnosed with MS at a young age. I think it could be great, but I guess maybe I am scared it won’t be good enough or hard to relive some parts of life. I do have an outline because I read somewhere that is the first step, would you agree?

      • I know most professional writers would recommend an outline for non-fiction, however, if it’s a narrative and you’ve lived it you might not need one. I followed events chronologically. But no agent or publisher has picked it up, so I might not be the best adviser. There is a psychological tool called ‘professional distancing’ whereby you imagine your problem as an inanimate object (such as a box) and try to see it objectively. Writing about your struggle may help you separate the subject from reality, thus helping you to deal with it. I’m not a psychologist or a doctor….it’s just a suggestion. Whatever you decide, best of luck.

      • I only created an outline to keep me on point and on track. I didn’t want to miss anything and I was worried I would forget something along the journey. However, you are right about with this being based on my own story, I might not need it at all. We will see when someday I actually write the book. I need a long break from the normal job so I can focus solely on writing. I need to hit the lottery! I appreciate your support!

  2. Autumn is here today! Summer is gone! That dream has become reality! I’m far too excited about it, but I can blame MS heat intolerance for that.

And you keep going with the writing! I want to see you get published and have movies made of your stuff.

    • It is crazy that today is the first day of Autumn because it is going to be in the high 90’s all week! I think Mother Nature is very confused or pissed off! It was so hot this summer and has made me feel awful!

I will continue to keep writing because of my true love for it and someday hopefully the book will happen. I have had an outline for years about my book. The book will be loosely based on a true story, my story of being diagnosed with MS. I guess I am just scared it will not be good at all. Thank you for your comment!

  3. My dream is to make a living writing. I like relaxing at home and being able to write. I have made next to nothing from it though. I make nothing from blogging even though I wish I would. If I wasn’t stressed and working my job all day, I am sure I would be able to do more with my writing.

I hope you finish your book. Reading your blog, I can tell you have a great voice and it would be amazing.

    • You and I have a similar dream! Great minds think a like! If it wasn’t for my normal job, I think I would have already been off to a good start with my book. The dang job gets in the way of my life! So I guess we are just in the same boat!

I really appreciate you saying by reading my blog that I have a voice and you think my book would be amazing. You really have no idea how much that means to me!!

  4. Alyssa I loved your most. So many good thoughts and I can relate on so many levels. I have been wanting to start a blog for a long time. I always have so many thoughts, feelings and ideas floating around in my head on a daily. 😂 I also love to help others. So I finally started it. The blog isn’t fully up and running I am still currently trying to learn how to work it all. Like you said, I am easily distracted by my discouraging thoughts. I will push past them though and keep moving forward. I will only have a chance of I choose to take the chance. ❤️
