Chronically Hopeful Award!

ChronicallyHopefulAwardI was completely blown away that the lovely Heather and Dizzy at https://dinosaursdonkeysandms.com thought to nominate me for such a beautiful award. I find both ❤ Heather and Dizzy to be so encouraging and battle MS with nothing but grace! Considering I have been adjusting to working full-time again, blogging has been a little difficult for me. I had actually told myself that I would not be able to do award posts until I had fully adjusted, but this one is very special and holds a place in my ❤heart because I think all of us living with a chronic illness need to hold on tight to hope! I mean, without hope, what do we really have? Thank you from the bottom of my ❤ heart Heather and Dizzy ❤ for this incredible nomination! I do encourage anyone that has not already visited Heather and Dizzy’s site to check it out https://dinosaursdonkeysandms.com, I know you will love it as much as I do! And thank you Pamela ❤ for creating this amazing award for those that are able to have hope for the future!

Heather & Dizzy’s Questions and my answers:

1, What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned from your illness?

I think the biggest lesson I have learned since diagnosed with MS at age 19 is, life can be painfully difficult, but giving up should never be an option. We are meant to live the life we are living and must always fight with everything we have.

2. If you were a dinosaur, what dinosaur would you be and why? download (4)

This was actually a very difficult question to answer, but I think I would have to say a Pterodactyl because they can fly! I think it would be amazing to have the ability to fly away when you need time alone!

3. What is your most embarrassing moment?

I know I have had many embarrassing moments, but I have done my best to forget them. One embarrassing moment I haven’t been able to forget is tripping while walking on rocks at the beach. It was a simple accident, but so many people watched it happen.

4. What is your favourite flower?download (3)

My absolute favorite flower is the Stargazer lily. I got married in early October when these flowers were not really in season, but I just had to have them. Thankfully, the florist was able to get them for me! It was probably the only thing that I just had to have for my wedding!

5. What makes you happy?

There are several things that make me happy. First, my two adorable and very loving ❤ cats bring me so much joy. They can be little terrors at times, but they misbehave in the cutest ways possible! Being able to write also brings me so much joy.

❤❤My amazing nominees are: Now, my nominees are in no specific order and I also do not want to add any additional stress or pressure to your life, so please do not feel obligated to participate, I will understand if you choose not to. On the other hand, I do look forward to reading your answers to the questions I have come up with!

      • Thank you so much! I try putting my heart into everything I write and it does get hard sometimes. Working full-time and either being on my feet too much or handling mean people can be draining. I am sure I will get better at balancing work, household things, blogging and everything else someday!!

      • Oh yes you sure will. I know how hard it is. I used to be much better at it and I feel like we get used to whatever shows up in life. Thankfully 🙂 Happy week to you Alyssa ❤

      • You definitely know how to make a girl that had a bad day, smile again! It was just busy and seemed like no one I work with wanted to help me. I was in a lot of pain and struggled to keep getting up and on my feet.

      • Oh gosh I know this feeling when people are busy around you and no one tries to help you. The last job I worked contract I didn’t take because of this. I think companies forget to take care of their new people and guide them. I hope today was a much better day for you! You are amazing truly! Know this. ❤

      • Today was another very frustrating day because it was SO HOT and I was the only one working. I worked my butt off today and ended up feeling LOTS of pain. The assistant manager is great, but the manager and my equal slack off SO much! The good news is I am off for the next two days, so I can rest up! I really appreciate your incredibly kind words. You always give me so much inspiration!!

      • Well I think it’s hard when you are new and the others tend to dump their load on you.
It’s so hot here too. I tried to go outside in the back yard and front and the shade was even hot.
Thank God you are off I hope you rest well. You did good and stuck it out.
My girl decided to try working again after being off for 2 years she took a job so we’ll see what happens. She was afraid because she lost her dad health insurance and was without for a few days. Her birthday was so many milestones for us but also a scary time. We secured enough meds to make it through till she gets medical insurance. Whew. 👏🏼🙋🏼‍♀️💜 baby steps big hugs to you 😍🥰🤗🤗🤗

    • Thank you so very much! No worries about being behind, it seems like I am always behind! I am so sorry you had an accident with your fingers verses garage door. I hope you heal soon as I know it must not be easy. I am glad you were not injured even more. I hope you enjoy the holiday!

      • Thanks Alyssa – it is nothing compared to what you must endure but it sure knocked me for a loop – I am grateful that it was not worse than it was – I have spoken to people and interacted with other bloggers who had a similar incident where the spring came off their garage door cable and went wacky – that I didn’t mess with, but forgot and shut the door the same way I have for 35 years and the door panels sealed shut before I could pull out. We are having some bad heat and humidity here – like you had a few weeks ago.

  3. I appreciate the thought Alyssa, but I may not get to this for a while, if at all. I’m so consumed with the house that I don’t have as much time to write, and haven’t written a regular post in a while. SO I need to get to that first. I just wanted to acknowledge your kindness and thank you for thinking about me.

    • No worries, I completely understand. I know how hard it can be to write and do extra when life is already so busy. I nominated you because I think so much about you and you are an amazing writer! Please never feel pressured to do anything, especially this!!
