Motivational Monday!

monday 3Good morning y’all! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and you are starting this new week with the strength of positive thoughts! I am starting the week off with a new job that I am both excited and extremely nervous about. I have been told that it is perfectly normal to be nervous starting a new job, but I really do not like this feeling. I honestly cannot even explain why I am nervous because I did do work like this for years before, it has also been many years since I did work in Property Management. I highly doubt much has changed, but we will see. I willmonday 1 tell y’all all about it when I get home this evening.

I have always believed that Monday mornings can go one of two ways, we can view them as a fresh start by letting go of anything that did not go our way the previous week or we can view them as something we dread. I think it is much better to view Monday as a positive because those thoughts will create a much more happiness for all of us!

I discovered a fantastic quote that I would like to share with you today and I hope you like it! Our days can get difficult quickly, but if we just try to remember that tomorrow is is another day to try again, we will feel much more accomplished!quotes-thich-nhat-hanh-01-949x534

Thank you for visiting my site today! I always appreciate the time you take to read what I download-10.jpgshare and love ❤ reading your comments! Considering I am starting a new full-time job today, I am not sure how my posts will be done. It will probably take me a few days to get back into the swing of things, but I promise to do my best. I hope you have a fabulous start to the new week! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love ❤, comfort, and many positive vibes!

My signature heart

❤Always, Alyssa❤

    • Thank you so much! The first day went well and everything did come back to me. I was a nervous wreck this morning, my hands were shaking when I was filling out some paperwork. I will share more about it later, I promise but I am pretty exhausted right now.

  1. Great quote choice, I think that makes it a little easier to get through anything when you have hope for tomorrow & brighter days. Every time I started a new job I would be terrified, I hated the whole process. But you also know you’ve done this before and survived and things go okay, so you’ll be absolutely great – Wishing you all the very best for your first week at the new job lovely!! xxxx

    • I am so sorry for my delayed response. This week has been full of changes and I am trying to keep up. The new job has been great so far. I am still in the process of searching for a car to replace the one that wast totaled. Car shopping is no fun at all. What kind of job are you transitioning into? I wish you the best of luck with the new job!

      • That’s just it, I’m trying to decide which way I want to go with my career. I’ve been in publishing most of my career so I’m looking at other industries. I’m praying for guidance for sure! 😉 Good luck with you car shopping! My mom is car shopping too because of a wreck. That isn’t fun I know! 🙂 ❤

      • I didn’t know you were in publishing. I bet that was an exciting career. My goal is to someday actually finish a book I have been thinking about and maybe even get it published. I think I tend to be too hard on myself, which only ends up discouraging me. I know you will do great with anything you decide to do with your career! I wish you lots of luck! I am very behind with my blog because of starting a new job and car shopping, but I hope to get caught up. I started the new job last Monday and we picked up my new/used car last night. The new car is beautiful!!!! I wish you mother lots of luck with her search. Tell her to get the car fax on the cars she likes so she knows what she is buying. I learned that people selling used cars tend to not be completely honest. It was a very frustrating process! I hope you are enjoying your weekend!!

      • I totally understand being behind. That happens when our lives get so busy. I encourage you to write you book and publish it. Don’t be too hard on yourself just write and before you know it will be finished. 🙂 You’ll be surprised.
My mom ended up getting an SUV used with low mileage yesterday she’s so happy about it and I’m happy she’s in a safer car. Yay. I am enjoying my weekend I hope you do the same! 🙂 Get some rest! 🙂

      • Thank you so much for understanding! It drives me crazy getting so far behind that I don’t know where to start. Honestly, I have had the outline for my book ready for a while now. I even have the first part done!! It is a story loosely based on my start to living with MS. I will do my best to not be hard on myself, but I have been like this my entire life.
That is so exciting your mother and I both got SUV’s yesterday! They are much safer than small cars and I enjoy sitting up a little higher! I am really glad you are enjoying your weekend. I have gotten rest and it feels great. We got home super late last night because of getting my new/used SUV. I slept in today and still feel pretty drained! Take care and best wishes to you and whatever you decide to do with your career!!!

      • Oh wow. I didn’t realize you have MS. Have I mentioned to you that my daughter has MS? I can’t remember. I think it’s amazing that the subject of you book is about that. Wow.
I think it’s amazing that you are working and living life to its fullest. That’s so wonderful. Very inspiring.
My mom likes sitting high than cars he’d was a small Honda Civic. I’m happy to know you are sitting higher too. 💕💜

      • Oh my goodness, I didn’t know your daughter had MS. It is a crazy illness to deal with, but we make it happen. What type of MS does your daughter have and is she on medication to slow the progression? I do think the book I want to write would be good, it is just taking me time to get my thoughts in order!
I think it is very important to live life to the fullest because we only get one chance, so it is better to stay happy and positive! I love sitting up higher in the Tahoe!
I hope your week has started off well!!

      • Relapse-Remitting she gets flareups and then they go away. How we discovered she had it was she woke up blind in her right eye. I took her everywhere doctor wise even to the Mayo Clinic, the leading Neuro guy there sent her home with orders for IVIG treatments but we couldn’t find a doctor to do them. So eventually we did and it nearly caused the eye sight in the left eye to go too. Very scary. She has also done the high powered steroids for 6 days to stop the progression. So every time she has a flare up we have to go through all that. She take nerve meds which seem to help with the pain. So now she’s doing well and she hasn’t had a flare up this year. Her doctor said she might go forever and not have one again so we are hopeful and prayerful. We see the neurologist ophthalmologist August and he said that the optic nerve in her right eye is still viable so maybe the sight will come back. It’s been 4 years and as a mom you are always hopeful. ❤
My week is going great. I'm having a quiet one! ❤ I look forward to your gathering your thoughts into a book and if you ever need help let me know. 🙂

      • That is the type of MS I have as well. It is so random and a little frustrating. I am glad your daughter has you in her corner! I have tried many different meds for the MS and think the one I am on is doing what is supposed to. Gilenya has been a blessing and a curse, but overall is working. When I was diagnosed I had lost vision in my right eye, but after a round of steroids it came back. The thing I deal with the most is leg and back pain. I try to find the positive in this though. I do hope the best for both you and your daughter. It is so important to stay positive, even when things are difficult.
I think once I sit down and write, the book will happen. I have read a lot about writing a book and having an outline helps. Of course if you have any other advice, I am all ears! Thank you Michelle for being so great, not only with the encouragement you provide, but for being a wonderful mother! Your daughter is lucky to have you and I am sure she already knows that. Just out of curiosity how old is your daughter?

      • Oh wow I will tell Alex that you got your sight back. This is very encouraging to me. She keeps saying not to get my hopes up but how can I not? I do hope and pray something better comes along. I’m happy to know that you found a medication that works for you.
Thank you for your kind words and encouragement as well.
My daughter is 25 going to be 26 June 29. 💜💟

      • Yes, please tell Alex I did get my vision back. I remember going to the eye doctor because I just thought I was going blind in one eye. When he ever said he thought it was MS, I was relieved but scared at the same time. It is possible, no she will get her vision back! Positive thoughts heal all, I am proof of it. I know you won’t, but do your best to hold onto your positive thoughts and hopes, y’all both may be surprised! Please forgive me, you probably already said, but how long has her vision been gone? I know she is scared because who wouldn’t be, but let her know she can always email me! I will be more than happy to try to ease her mind and give her some comfort. Do y’all know anyone else with MS? When I was diagnosed I only knew one person and it was my biological father’s wife, It probably shows how close we are! I am totally serious, I will do anything I can to help both of you through the hard times. My personal email address is alyssabowman81@gmail.com. Y’all can email me anytime and I will respond as quickly as I can! I am more than willing to tell both of you about the different medications I have been on!
Michelle, never forget you are a wonderful and loving mother!!! I am going to put Alex’s birthday on my calendar so I will remember to wish her a very happy birthday!!!

      • Aww thank you so much. She woke up blind in her right eye Nov. 1, 2015. So this will make 4 years. We are seeing the Neuro Ophthalmologist in Aug. I’m hopeful that her sight will come back like yours did. I’m going to tell her about you today. I do have one friend that has MS, I met her here on WP she is in her 70s and still going strong. Thank you for your email. I will email you. I know how busy you are with your new job and all. Thank you so much for your kindness and I’m so happy I mentioned this to you! I noticed the title of your blog and that is how I knew. I really think that those who has illnesses have such a deeper compassion for those who are ill. People who are well don’t understand the tiniest things we worry about! Have a beautiful day Alyssa ❤ Big hugs to you XXX
