Motivational Monday!

Butterfly Motivational MondayGood morning y’all! I hope you had a lovely weekend and you did everything that brought you the most  joy! Can you believe that we are already halfway through 2019? I feel like time is speeding up  and I just cannot keep up or maybe I am just slowing down.

I do hope you are entering the new week with positive thoughts and you are letting go of anything that went wrong or just not the way you intended last week. I know I already shared the news about the insurance company declaring my poor car as totaled last week. That news was a little sad, but I have accepted my loss. The only good things about this loss was, the insurance company is paying out a good amount for my car and my husband and I spent the weekend searching for a new car for me. It looks like I am going to be getting the older model Chevy Tahoe I have wanted for so long, but I will keep y’all updated!

I think the quote I am sharing with y’all today will bring some optimism to your way and I do hope you will feel the same!try again aliaha

I want to share something else with y’all that I find very important. June is Scoliosis Awareness Month, so I am going to be sharing some information about this disease. scoliosis awareness monthRecently my mother actually received this diagnosis and I know she is scared, hell most people probably would be. Before now, I did already have some knowledge about this disease from someone I went to high school with and from working on a pediatric unit in the hospital for several years. I honestly did start a post about Scoliosis over the weekend, but thought it was getting a little too long, so I am going to try doing two separate posts to make for slightly shorter reading.

sparkle and shine mondayThank you so much for visiting my site today. I hope y’all have an amazing start to the week and it only continues to improve. Today, do your best to take everything one step at a time and not stress about things there is no control over, this is definitely something I need to practice so much more! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of    love❤, comfort and many positive vibes!

My signature heart

❤Always, Alyssa❤

    • Thank you so much! I am so happy you are enjoying my blog and hope you will continue to. I love playing around with pictures and even creating them. I love quotes, so sharing them twice a week is also a lot of fun for me!

  2. Wow – I did not realize you could get scoliosis as an adult. I knew a young boy who had it and he was sent to City of Hope to get it corrected – his parents did not have money and the organization paid for all of it. Best wishes to your mom.

      • I never knew that. This young boy I knew was named Patrick. And I was in student government at that time and we put on a carnival and a percentage of all the rides, concessions was given to the City of Hope to pay for his treatment. I had never known anyone with scoliosis before and now, over four decades later, they might have better methods of correcting the spine than back then (around 1974-1975).

  3. “…bring the Chevy to the levy but the levy was dry…” Always reminds me of that song when I hear “Chevy”. Exciting times with the car shopping, you’ll have to keep us updated!
I’m sorry about your mum being recently diagnosed. Is it something they’re suggesting treatment/management for, like a brace? My own mum has it, but her curvature isn’t too severe thankfully. I’ll look forward to your awareness post on it!
I do hope the rest of your week goes as well as possible lovely, sorry I’m a bit behind on blog reading as it’s now Wednesday, oops! xx

    • I will definitely keep you updated on my car process! This process has been nothing short of a headache, but hopefully we will have decision made soon! I actually have made my choice, but of course my husband has other ideas.
There are definitely treatment plans that are available, but honestly with healthcare in the states being so awful, who knows how it will play to her advantage. This condition is very common, so you would think things like cures would be available.
Please no worries about being late on reading, it happens. I know I am very behind and getting caught up is hard! I hope the rest of your week goes great!! I am so behind, I didn’t even do my Pick-Me-Up Thursday post! xxx
