Good morning y’all! I hope your weekend was very pleasant and hopefully you enjoy the holiday as well! Long weekends are always very refreshing and well-deserved. In a very unusual way, I actually managed to sleep in one of the days over the weekend! I never sleep late because I always think I have something that needs to be done. This is just my overly anxious and semi-uptight personality that stresses about everything. It was quite nice to not have a to-do list that needs to be done because I do not start my new job until Thursday!
Even though today is a holiday in the states, which means many of you have a long week, we still need something positive to start our week! The quote I am sharing is very optimistic and motivating or at least I think so!
I am looking forward to reading your thoughts on this quote because I know they will be just as amazing as you are! I do promise to respond to all comments as quickly as I possibly can.
Thank you for visiting my site today. I hope you have a wonderful start to this short week ahead of us. Sometimes the short weeks tend to feel a little longer, but I think it is just because we try to fit all the tasks we would typically do in a five day week into four days. In order to not cause ourselves unnecessary stress, it is just best to take things one at a time and only do what we can. If something does not get done, it isn’t the end of the world and will get done when the time allows for it. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love , comfort, and many positive vibes!
Always, Alyssa

Yes, it is a lovely quote. I also have a long weekend because it’s Bank Holiday in the U.K.! I recently visited Normandy and looked into the history of the Americans in WW2. More specifically, the d-day landings. All very interesting stuff! Have a great weekend, Alyssa. ☺️

I am so happy that you also have a long weekend! I do hope you enjoy yourself! Even though American history can be interesting, it is also very sad. The way people act and how violent people can be does not make me proud to be an American. Of course, American’s can do things that are helpful to others, but for lack of better words, people can be bullies. I will never agree with war because many people die that should never have. On a much more positive note, I would love to visit the UK someday because it looks so beautiful!!!

Thanks, Hun! I cleaned all day. Decluttering my life of nonsense. I’m exhausted now, but feel so accomplished. 😊

Decluttering is a great thing to do. This may sound insane, but I enjoy going through things and getting rid of anything that is not being used and won’t be missed. I try donating things as much as possible! I am glad you are feeling accomplished and you really should be proud of yourself!

Aww, Thank you, Alyssa. There are certain things that I simply needed to get out of my sight, and others that just plain needed to get rid of. Clothes, on the other hand, that will be done in the next couple of week. A lot of donating then. LOL! 😉

It is always great getting rid of things that are not used or needed. I think it is refreshing to not have clutter. I tend to donate clothes, house hold things and really anything another could use. Best of luck to you my friend!

That is a lovely quote and reminds me of the song with the line “whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” … you build up blocks in your lifetime, steeling yourself against the known and the unknown and you become stronger in the process. Enjoy that last few days of R&R Alyssa.
