Pick-Me-Up Thursday!

catfriday eveGood morning y’all! I hope your week has been wonderful and you are looking forward to the weekend! I can say that thankfully my week was much better than last week, which is what I was hoping for! I am not sure I would have been able to handle another week like the awful one I went through! I have been trying to practice patience this week, which is not one of my stronger qualities. Maybe if I was not waiting for two different things, it would not have been all that bad.

Y’all already know I am waiting to hear back from the damn insurance company aboutpatient2 the accident I was in and that has been VERY frustrating. It was very obvious that the accident was NOT my fault and the other driver was at COMPLETE fault, but they need to accept responsibility for it. I did speak with someone in the claims department Wednesday afternoon, just to see where we were at in the process and she was actually the first person that was helpful! I found out that the kid did receive a citation for the accident and to me that alone states fault! I am not trying to sound mean, but I am so glad the kid got a citation because he deserved that and more! Hopefully, I will get some good news by the end of the week and he will pay for both my rental and my car repairs.

patiently-waitingThe other wait I was dealing with was a call back from an interview I went on earlier in the week. I think I made it very clear in another post that I was not all that happy with where I was working, so I was doing my best to find a better fit for me. You know instead of complaining about it, I was doing something to fix the issue! Technically, I was offered the position the same day of the interview, but the hiring manager needed to wait before sending me the offer letter because of some company changes. I am SO HAPPY to say, I have signed the offer letter and will be starting next week!

Even though my week was far better than it was last week, I still think we could all use a pick-me-up to get us through one last day of the week. I think the quote I am sharing with y’all today really sets a nice positive tone for the day and I look forward to reading what you think!EmilysQuotes.Com-mind-powerful-power-positive-thoughts-thinking-life-change-amazing-great-inspirational-unknown

I am so thrilled to say that I will be off work until I start the new job on May 28th! This will give me time to rest up before starting a new job and hopefully heal from the damn accident. I am still having neck and shoulder pain, which is very aggravating but waithopefully it will get better sooner than later. Now that I am going to have about a week off, I will be able to write a few things I have been thinking about, be able to comment in a timely manner and read your amazing posts!

Thank you so much for visiting my site today. I really love ❤ and enjoy reading the comments you share and find them very insightful! I hope you have a great day and then I hope your weekend is filled with nothing but LOTS of happiness! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love ❤, comfort, and many positive vibes!

My signature heart

❤Always, Alyssa❤

    • Thank you so much Meg! The new job is what I did several years ago and I excelled with it. The insurance will be MUCH better and will start June 1st. I am sure it will be a nice place to work or at least I hope it will. The manager seems like he is easy to work with and has a good personality! The time off will be rather nice!!

  3. Amen! God is good. We sometimes don’t understand why God does things but it’s not done purposely it’s done so when one door closes another one is opening. I’m like you I don’t have a bit of patience but I’ve been working on it. I’m an impatient person but God has been working with me and I can feel the change…

      • Alyssa,
That is great! Glad you have improved over the years… hopefully I’ll improve… I can say for the last three months I’ve gotten better… everything is always a rush or in a hurry but I’ve been praying about it… so how is your day going? I’m glad everything is falling in place for you… congratulations on the new job… God is good and always on time… but like you said we have to be patient. Everything is on God’s timing not ours… Have a wonderful bless day along with the weekend..

  4. Wow, what a positive post to read Alyssa – if you could just get rid of the aches and pains as a result of the accident. Great news about the new job and the good insurance and starting next week. That’s a real win-win. Yeah YOU!

  5. I am so thankful that you’re ok. I know your car is a bit messed up but that can be fixed. You on the other hand is a different story. I’m just happy your little guardian angel was watching over you. You are so precious and have enough going on in your life. I really have never been prouder of anyone in my life except you. You never allow the negative situations in your life to throw you off track and leave you sitting and wallowing in despair. If something isn’t working for you, you don’t just sit and complain hoping it gets better. You always assess your options and move forward until you find what you’re looking for. Complaining never changes anything and that’s not you. You are quite an amazing woman and I’m just thankful God gave me the best Daughter ever. Even though your life has many curves in the road you keep focused and look for ways you can overcome the not so good things and continue to make your life the best it can be. Your quote about filling your head with positive thoughts is definitely working for you. Maybe the rest of us should give it a try. All my Love & Support, Mom!!

  6. I’m sorry the insurance issues are so frustrating, it seems to be a universally accepted fact that insurers are difficult and claims are highly stressful, and that’s even with a party that’s admitting fault! But… CONGRATS on the new job! That’s amazing! I really do hope it can be a brighter place to work, but you never know these things until you try to well done. And it’s good you have a little time off to get yourself rested and on top of things before starting. xx

    • Thank you so much! I am so happy that the insurance issue ended up working out for the best and they are covering everything!!! It took too long, but at least things went the right way. I am going into the new job with positive thoughts, but also no expectations. I did this type of work before and did very well. Honestly, only one thing about it weighs heavy on my mind. I will be working in an apartment industry, which means showing them as well. Of course it doesn’t involve walking around and I will have a golf cart to get to the apartment being shown. But it is going to be a nasty summer here. I am just going to have to take precautions and do the best I can. The manager is aware of my MS so I assume he will be understanding, but we will see. I am really happy to have time off before starting the new job and plan to enjoy it as much as I can! I hope you are doing well and have a wonderful weekend!!!! xx

      • You get to drive a golf cart to viewings? That’s surely a bonus 😉
I think you’ve done the best with having your new manager being aware of your MS & knowing what may be involved, then all you can do is take precautions, try your best, and have adjustments made if you’re not able to do it all. And having worked a similar role before will hopefully boost your confidence a bit. There’ll be ways to work around things, so I’ll just keep my fingers crossed the manager is a good egg, the colleagues are nice, & that golf cart goes fast 😉
        xx

      • Haha, driving the golf cart is definitely a bonus!! My grandfather was a golf pro, so when I would visit him we would go to his golf course where he let me drive the golf carts! When I was younger, I would tell him I wanted my first car to be a golf cart! I do hope the new manager is a good ego and he wasn’t being fake during my interview. If he is as good as I think he is, I am sure the other staff will be as well, or at least I hope so! I hope you are doing well and the rest of your weekend is wonderful!
