Pick-Me-Up Thursday!

This week has really taken it’s tole on me and left me feeling not only frustrated, but with LOTS of pain! Of course for me pain is just a normal thing, but for some reason it has been out of control this week. I can not emphasize enough how glad I am that this week is almost over!

Let me just say, I do my best everyday to be kind to everyone. So I find it incredibly frustrating and difficult that 1304c439f46d2ddfc7f1510122176295many people feel the opposite. The shear amount of mean behaviors in a day makes me extremely sad. Even when someone is just outright hateful towards me, I still try to ignore the rudeness and continue being nice to that person. I am beyond DONE with all the ugly attitudes and poor treatment though!!!! In my heart I know that I do not deserve to be disrespected and mistreated by anyone. I decided yesterday that I will no longer tolerate this poor etiquette from anyone!

On a more positive note, I think we all probably need a little pick-me-up to get us through one final day of this very LONG week! It is very clear to me that my way of thinking are not always going to align with others 1_-cgfWQ1evxKgmxl_PdBbIQand that is okay. I still feel that if we were all the same and thought exactly alike the world would be a boring place. Diversity is a great think that we can often learn a lot from. However, even though people do not need to agree with me or think the way I do, respect is something that is required in my mind and not something I am willing to bend on!

    • I am glad you liked this. I do agree with you to an extent. The way we treat others is often a result in the way we treat them, but I always treat people very kindly and it doesn’t always end up the same with how I have been treated this week.

    I don’t know who need this but I sure needed it.. I need a little pick me up from here and there. I totally understand where you coming from. People can be so mean, rude, etc. you are doing right by still being nice and not doing evil for evil, but there are boundaries and you can take so much. So no you don’t have to be rude to them just speak an keep moving because your actions shows who you really are. So thank you for this encouraging blog post this morning. I will save this so when I need that pick me up.. ❤️❤️

    • I am so happy that you liked this. Today was an awful day for me and honestly your comment made me feel so much better. I left work early because I was not feeling well, only to end up in a car accident because some young kid didn’t know how to drive. My car isn’t totaled, but it isn’t drive able at the moment, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you have said in your comment!!!!

      • I am glad you had a productive day! I always have pain because of my Multiple Sclerosis, but right now it is worse because of the accident I was in on Thursday. I hope your weekend has started off well and only gets better for you!

        How are you today? I pray your feeling much better today. I live in Arlington Texas… yes rain makes me lazy. I stayed home all day I didn’t do anything but wash clothes lol

      • I am feeling about the same, thank you for asking. I guess the accident caused more issues than I knew. I have been trying to rest, but I am terrible at it. I am glad you were able to stay home with it raining. Rainy days are the best days when you can just stay home and rest or do things around the house. Does it get hot in Arlington TX? I know several years ago when I went to Texas because my mother had emergency surgery, it was rather hot!!

      • I am living in South Carolina now, but my husband really wants to move to Canada or Colorado. We will see what happens with that. I actually grew up in Vermont, but have been in the south a lot longer!

        Okay South Carolina I’ve never been there. Haven’t been too many places just up north a few times… Canada sounds so much better. I would love to visit Canada.. so how long you been in the south lol.. Also how has your day been? Minds been pretty good.. I know I’m about to study God’s Word for today.

    • Thank you so much! I will never understand why people behave the way they do, but I will always just be me. My week did not get any better today. 5 minutes after I left work, another drive plowed into my car because the young kid was obviously not paying attention. Hopefully my car will be repaired in the next month. I wasn’t badly injured, but I am having more pain than normal. I hope you had a nice day and your weekend is lovely!

  7. I’m sorry this week has been so draining & frustrating. Then throw in the pain on top.. 😦
    You are absolutely right, you don’t deserve to be treated disrespectfully and considering how compassionate you are towards others it’s even worse to think of people treating you rudely. I think we can reach our limits with things like this, you can only brush off meanness or rudeness for so long before having an absolute gut full of it. May I ask where most of this is coming from, like online or socially or at work..? It’s ok if you don’t want to go into it though. I just feel frustrated for you as you deserve far better than that.

    • Thank you so much for your very kind words. I definitely needed this today. I do not mind telling you where the mean and rude ways are coming from. It is all coming from people at work because I have higher numbers than they do and they hate that. It is immature and ridiculous.
      I ended up leaving work early today because of a nasty headache and pain. It wasn’t but 5 minutes later I was in a car accident. It wasn’t not my fault! A young kid obviously wasn’t paying attention and plowed into me. Luckily, I wasn’t seriously injured, I just have a lot more pain. The idiot kid was at fault, so all repairs will be on him and his insurance. I hope his insurance will not give me a hard time, but I am going to need a rental car until mine is fixed. It was so terrifying and awful. I was SO glad my husband came to the scene, because I was way too hysterical and shaken up. It has been 8 hours and I still feel shaky. Not today, but soon I will do a post about it and maybe even share the pictures.
      I really do appreciate the kindness and compassion you have brightened my evening with! xxxx

      • Jeees, that’s awful. Both the work thing and the car accident. I can understand the people at work feeling jealous and put out that the newer joiner is more efficient at the work than they are; petty and ridiculous indeed, you would have hoped people would have grown up after school! I’m glad you weren’t seriously injuring in the car accident, but I imagine that shook you up big time! If it were me I’d probably still be shaken up a week later. With any luck the kid’s car insurance will pay out quickly and without any hassle. Definitely take time out to de-stress, take your mind off things, deal with what’s happened, do something nice for yourself. Sending lots of hugs xxxxx

      • Thank you so much! It has been quite the week. I will never understand why or how people can be so darn petty! I even offered to show others how I handle my work and way I found to make it easy, but they still only want to be mean!
        Oh my word, this accident really did shake me up. I will be 38 this year and never had an accident. I was so shocked and scared, I got out of the car using some pretty colorful language with the idiot kid. I dealt some with my insurance company today and know they have the claim started. I do hope the kids mother will act fast and not drag this out. There is no denying the fact it was the kids fault. I think on Sunday we are going to rent a car for me. I guess I am paying upfront, but I just need to keep receipts and I will be reimbursed. It is crazy how much pain I am in from the accident. I am used to dealing with pain, but this is SO much more!! I really do appreciate your kind words and caring thoughts, you are a pretty amazing friend! I hope you are doing well and you have a great weekend!! xxxxxx

      • Thank you and I totally understand. I am going to have to rent a car and the kids insurance will have to pay for it. Unfortunately, I will have to pay upfront, but I will be reimbursed.       • Years ago I had a young guy run into my car at a stop light. He said something was in his eye. He gave me his insurance information and said he was trying to get a CDL license and promised to pay the damages as he had no insurance. I said we had to make a police report and he sped off. I got his license number and went to the police… good thing I got the license number as it was a fake address. They made him come into the police station and I was reimbursed but it took a long time. It’s a pain any way you look at it.

      • I am so sorry you went through this. It amazes me how inconsiderate others can be. It is illegal to drive away from an accident, so I am sure he got punished or at least I hope he did. Right now the insurance company is trying to get in touch with the kid’s mother that ran into me. Of course she isn’t responding because she knows they are going to have to pay for this.

      • People just don’t pay attention to anything anymore – I worry every day that someone is going to run into my car and/or me because they are texting and driving at the same time.

      • It is pretty scary how much people do not pay attention when they are driving. Texting while driving is dangerous and whatever is being text can wait! I have always been a very cautious driver because I do not want to be the reason someone loses their life.

      • I agree with you – texting has caused so many fatalities here in Michigan, and often it is not the driver that is texting and shouldn’t be, but innocent victims.

  10. I believe that some individuals who have rude behavior and treat others the way that they do, really are hurting inside. It still doesn’t give them an excuse to be mean to others. That’s why I try to be nice also to everyone. Because you never really know what someone might be going through. That goes the same for the people that are hurting, and also for the people that are just downright rude! Have a great weekend 🙂

    • That has always been my belief as well. I can’t imagine people would be so mean and hateful if they weren’t going through something awful. Even though a few people at work have been unfriendly and rude, I will not go down to their level because that isn’t who I am. I try my best to ignore the rude attitudes and just kill people with kindness! I hope you have a nice weekend!
