Pick-Me-Up Thursday!

cats orderGood morning y’all! I hope you have had a fantastic week and you are feeling wonderful! Now that the weekend is near, do you have any plans? Sometimes weekends are best spent just relaxing and recovering from the week we just had! No matter what anyone says, it is perfectly fine to do nothing at all!!

Even though I am not working currently, my week was fairly busy! I had three interviews through the week which was exhausting! On Monday, one of the interviews was pretty ridiculous because the first part was doing several assessments. I was at this place for over two hours and hadn’t even spoken to exhaustedanyone, so I did leave. Of course I got an email that evening asking me to please come back in do just do the face-to-face interview. I ended up scheduling the face-to-face interview for Wednesday afternoon. On Tuesday I had an interview that went well, but I am still very unsure of the place. Then on Wednesday I had two interviews, one being to finish up rest of the one from Monday and the other being something that seems like it would be great. Now, I am just in the waiting part, which isn’t any fun. I do still have to think about what I would do if offered all three! We will see and I will keep y’all updated!

I might not be chasing my real dreams, but I am staying focused on my goal to get a job! I already have said that insurance is a MUST for me and I will get the job that is meant for me! I am trying to stay caught up, but I am a little behind on reading your posts. I promise I will get caught up and hopefully stay that way!images

    • Thank you so much! Honestly, I did already get one offer and I think another will happen tomorrow! The one I really want requires a 2nd interview with the regional manager and the place will not even open until April 22, it’s a new apartment community! So confused and hate making decisions because I worry I will make the wrong decision. My husband keeps telling me that I am stressing too much, but I don’t think I am!

      • Well, you cant’ change the way you are, but he’s right in one respect. Stress isn’t good for your MS. I am sure you will make the decision that feels right, and that will turn out to be the best one. Then again, a bird in the hand……..

      • Oh I definitely know how bad stress is for MS, but I really do not think I was at all stressed. After each interview I was just excited to talk about it and think that isn’t stress. Considering I have been out of work for too long, I miss talking to people!!! I think I did make a final decision and plan to just see how things work out! I appreciate your comment Steve and really hope you are doing well!!

    • Thank you Amanda! I am glad the interviews are over now! I did get one offer today and think another will happen tomorrow!
      I love to crochet to calm my nerves, but I think the one I was making for our guest room is done. I am trying to think of what colors I want to do for the next one, but I am struggling. I want to do 3 or 4 colors, do you have any ideas, please; )?

      • That’s great you got an offer – congrats!
        I love to crochet too, though I’m not very good at it. I’m always a fan of shades of blue and purple. Like pale blue, lilac and a deep blue or purple. – ? Are they abstract patterns or florals or?
        I just taught my daughter to latch hook, which I loved as a kid, and she loves it. Makes me so happy. Crafting is therapy.

        I just want to make another granny stitch, so it’s easy and so relaxing! The ones I have already made for the house have been neutral brown, tan and black for the living room and the one I just finished is purple, grey and black.
        I want the next one to bright and pretty. Blues and purple sounds nice. Thank you for your comment!

  9. It’s definitely fine to do nothing at all, I think it’s very underrated. Wow, all those interviews in one week? That’s impressive! No wonder you’re exhausted. I think you should be really proud for pushing through with them all, and I know the waiting is awful (worst part when I was last job hunting too, I would go out of my mind waiting to hear something and too often companies just didn’t bother to let you know anything) but you’ve done all you can with those so you can only wait and see, then figure out what’s best for you if you’re offered them. For now, congratulate yourself on a busy week and focus on doing nothing for the weekend! 😉

    • Thank you so much Caz! I couldn’t agree more that doing nothing is extremely underrated! If more could just calm down, people would be much happier.
      Three interviews in one week and doing 2 interviews in one day, was insane! I think I have made a decision, but I am going to stay calm this weekend before my final decision. I want a job that isn’t too far from the house and will not be insanely stressful because stress doesn’t mix well with me. I am leaving this all in the hands of fate! I hope you have a great weekend my dear sweet friend!

    • Thank you so much! I did get one offer that I ended up accepting, only because I had to make a decision within 24 hours. One of the interviews I went on, I didn’t want the job at all and the other think would be great. If the other job does come through, I can always withdrawal my acceptance for the job I did accept. I hope you have had a lovely weekend!
