Motivational Monday!

Gimages (3)ood morning y’all! I hope you had a very lovely and relaxing weekend! My weekend was a crazy combination of relaxing, thinking way too much and trying to figure where to go next. There was also a wild change in the weather over the weekend! I swear it went from beautiful on Friday and Saturday to chilly with a threat of rain on Sunday. Thankfully, my husband and I were able to get a few things done Sunday before the rain hit. Y’all already know either from me mentioning in previous posts or your own experiences, but I can feel the rain before it pours down.

Now that we have a brand new week ahead of us, it’s time to let go of last week and focus completely on this week! I always believe that a new and motivating quote is a fantastic way to start the week off! The quote I am sharing holds SO much meaning to me and I hope you will as well! insanity

I guess I am at a point right now where I want things to improve, but yet I often do not make the necessary changes to see what could happen. Maybe I am wrong, but I do think if I don’t try new things, the results in life will ALWAYS be the same! What do you think?

After what occurred in my work life two weeks ago I am trying to remember the things broke wingsthat I am good at and actually make me feel good about myself. I keep trying to remind myself that I am a talented and determined person who doesn’t deserve to be mistreated or made to feel like I am basically worthless. I deserve you are incrediblebetter than all that!

I hope you have a wonderful day and you are feeling the best you possibly can! I also hope you will never forget what an incredible person you are and please never let anyone change that view of yourself. There is no one in this world that should ever be allowed to have that power of you. I am also still working on more Bloggers Recognition posts, so stay tune for many more I know you will LOVE! Please remember that I am always sending you LOTS of love ❤, comfort and many positive vibes!

My signature heart

❤Always, Alyssa❤

  1. Hello, Alyssa! Happy Monday to you! You posted some truly great quotes that fir with Motivational Monday. Now all you have to do is believe in them. I know you got this!!!
As far as looking for a new job, treat it as if you are already working. Wake up the normal time, have your coffee, and get on the computer, look and apply.
Let’s face it, looking for a job is a full-time job. We all been there. I’m sure things will change for you real soon!!! 🤗

  2. I love the insanity quote and it’s so true. Change is scary and I think that’s why most of us choose to do the same thing over and over. It’s a comfort level but if things aren’t changing for the best it doesn’t make sense to keep doing the same humdrum nothing. If we want something better we have to take the plunge and trust our instinct that it’s going to bring about the change needed. You are a wonderful person and something so unfair happened to you. I know you have the strength and determination to take that situation and turn it into a positive. Yes your spirit was broken but for just a short time. You will heal and the perfect job is just waiting for you when you’re ready. Enjoy this time because it won’t last forever. Take care of yourself and focus on the wonderful changes coming your way. All my Love & Support, Mom💜

      • You do bring positivity Alyssa – the world needs more positivity … I just left a similar comment on another post to you. Sometimes I feel like people have forgotten how to care about each other. They are all engrossed in their phones, and devices – they have lost the ability to communicate. But here in the blogosphere, I feel like I could sit down and have a cup of coffee and spend an afternoon talking with any of these bloggers, like you or Heather or Jennifer (though she is not on here as often), or others that I regularly interact with. I like interacting with people here. Starting a blog means you are willing to put your feelings and writing out there for others to see – it is a good feeling to share one’s thoughts with others.

      • You are absolutely right! Most everyone in the world is so engrossed in their phones, tablets or whatever other devices are used now. I also feel that social media like Facebook and Twitter are doing so much harm to real communications and friendships, but maybe I am wrong. I too could sit down and carry on with my fabulous blog friends as I do feel like I know many of them. I was so nervous starting my blog in the beginning because I share some deep feelings, which make me feel vulnerable.

      • Yes, funny I just said something similar – Facebook and Twitter comments just amaze me sometimes. I am on Twitter and follow for the weather reports … one of my favorite meteorologists gives extensive weather outlooks, especially for bad weather. As a walker, I want to be sure I’m up to date on the weather and I am a weather worrier as well. This episode with the Polar Vortex and all this erratic weather we’ve had the past year is worrisome to me. I read what people say in the comments of some trending topics – shocking, rude, you name it. Creating a blog is very personal … I never shared anything about my blog to anyone except my friend/neighbor – she was the one who encouraged me to write it and I was only writing about walks in the neighborhood. But it is personal etc.

      • I am not really in know with Twitter, but I do know my blog goes to Twitter. I think there are people with politics that have made me stay away from Twitter. You are right, creating a blog is very personal and really not many people are aware of mine. I have shared it with those I trust, so that is a rather small amount. Sounds like your neighbor is a good person!!!

      • Yes, I never shared it for the longest time either Alyssa – too personal. Wondered if it was “good enough” to share and I kept it close to the vest for a good two years. My neighbor was very nice – she had advanced COPD and passed away a few years ago. She started me writing this blog and I thought the world of her – I did a tribute the day she passed away … she did mean that much to me:

      • I understand the fear of something we write not being good enough, but everything you share is always great! I am so sorry to hear about your friend passing away. Your tribute to your friend was absolutely beautiful and I know she would be proud of you!!

      • Thanks Alyssa – in the beginning I did not write as much, except for the very first post, when I began the blog. I started it, then it was crummy weather and I didn’t go out for weeks, and being a walking blog … I couldn’t get going on it. And believe me, I only had about 18-20 followers for almost five years. The only people who commented were my neighbor/friend Marge and my friend Ann Marie. That was it. A few strangers here and there – friends who subscribed rarely (and I mean real rarely commented). I felt like I just wrote for myself most of the time.

      • Honestly, writing for yourself is the best therapy ever. Writing allows for us to get our feelings out and it takes those things off our minds. Some of what I write is to help me heal and other things I write is to help others. I believe your followers are lucky to read what you share and the number doesn’t matter in the big picture. I have actually deleted some comments from others as they were too negative and I found them offensive.

      • Yes, I agree with you Alyssa – writing helps to keep us grounded. It is a wonderful form of creativity – some people work magic with a paintbrush or a charcoal crayon and others do it with their writing. It is very personal – a gift to yourself, and the world.
