Good morning y’all! I hope you have had a good week and you are feeling well. This week has been a bit unusual for me because we had some nasty weather to start with. When they call for “snow” in the south, they really mean “ice”. Things finally started getting back to normal on Wednesday as the roads were clear of black ice! All this cold and wet weather has really made me feel SO much pain, but I kept moving forward with working! How was your week? Did y’all get any nasty cold weather?
Even though the weekend is going to still be cold and rainy, I am delighted it is almost here. I can sometimes tolerate the cold and rainy days when I do not have to leave the house, but I still wish we would see some sunshine! With all that said, I think a little pick-me-up would be a great way to start the day! I hope you enjoy this quote as with all the pain I have been in, it really resonates with me!
I want y’all to know that I have been trying to work on a couple of blog posts, but with the full-time hours I tend to be too tired at the end of the day to complete them. I also have two blogger awards that I want to complete this weekend, so stay tune and I promise something great will be coming out!
I appreciate y’all stopping by my site this morning and I do look forward to reading your thoughts on this quote. I hope y’all have a lovely day and you feel the best you possibly can. Please remember that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love , comfort and many positive vibes!
Always, Alyssa
Friday eve. What a delightful thought.
Cold and rainy weekends gives us reasons to stay home and even stay in bed a little later.
Hope your week is going well Alyssa.

I am sorry for my late response. Cold and wet weather might make me hurt more, but definitely gives me a reason to stay home and nice and comfortable. I hope you have a great weekend!

This time of year in the Northeast is particularly dreary. I really enjoyed spending a better part of last Winter in the Carolina’s and waking up every day to SUN SHINING!! What a difference it makes when the sun is out.
I am currently in CT until this next Sunday and today is a dreary, cloudy, bit snowy day. I am here to get some certification training for a new program and getting some work done on a Woman’s Conference I am leading on Dec. 19th. We are supposed to get a LOT of rain this weekend, about an inch, which is plenty, so might be driving home in it.
Pain too can be so wearying, exhausting and having respites is so needed! I too endure chronic pain every second of my life and am learning, like with anything else, knowing when to rest is so key. So, today is my rest period. Instead of working on what I had intended, my mind and my body needed rest.
So, turn on the tea kettle, grab the blankets, plopped me on the couch, listening to music, reading a bit, and tuning into this place of rest, has been soothing to my soul. Tonight I will get back to my work, but for now, catching up on some WordPress posts I often do not have the time to do.
I am fortunate in being able to be an independent consultant, scheduling my workload, along with knowing when to rest.

Eek ice is so dangerous, for walking and driving on. And I find the same with the cold and increased pain, so I empathise but I am sorry you have to deal with that when you have enough to manage with work. It’s now the weekend though, hurrah!! Will you be having a quiet one at home, or do you have Christmas prep to do? If you don’t get around to the blog posts, don’t stress it. Recuperation comes first, we’ll be here to read whatever you post whenever you have the time and energy for it. Will you have much time off work around Christmas?
I LOVE that quote, that’s brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing. I might have to try reworking this into one I can use on my blog or pop it up on my wall somewhere as it’s brilliant.
Sending hugs your way – breathe and rest and stay as warm as possible lovely xxxx

Thank you so much sweetie! Ice is miserable, but luckily I have not slipped too much! The cold and wet weather is terrible. Thankfully my weekend should be pretty calm, especially because it is going to rain. Christmas prep must be minimal because finances are tight, but it will all work out.
I am so excited I have a lot of time off for Christmas. We have the entire week of Christmas off and don’t return until the day after New Years!!! I work next week and then have almost a week and a half off.
Do you have Christmas plans? Are you excited for the holidays? Sending you lots of hugs and comfort my sweet friend! I hope you have a great weekend!!♡♡

We have had rain for days it feels like and the areas that flooded after the hurricane are flooding again. Prayers for those affected by all the rain. Hope you have an awesome weekend. 💚

That is such a lovely quote. If only I could look at it that way. It’s all the cruel comments that are passed to me though that make me forget this. Take care with all of the snow and ice. I hope you have lots of warm hot chocolate and stay warm.

You are so kind. Thank you for standing up for me. I don’t mind your comment at all. Your comments are kind, unlike some peoples have been. I have been thinking about putting up a blog post about if you don’t have anything kind to say don’t comment at all. I may not blog about my illness and share everything I go through but on the inside I am battling, You can read my brownie post and comment her. I have blogged it on my new website also. https://all-hearts.org/2018/12/07/world-brownie-day/

Thank you. All I need right now is support which I don’t really have much of. People don’t realise how much there comments ca impact others.

I actually blocked one of them because they had said things a couple of times and I didn’t need someone like them in my life and I wondered if it was the same blogger who wrote stuff on your blog. One was to my personal email which but I never approve of them.
