Good morning y’all! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and I hope you are ready for the new week! Monday can be viewed as a chance to let go of anything and everything that might not have gone well last week and just try again for a better outcome this week. It is so important to acknowledge that ALL the choices we make in our lives can have a huge impact not only on our life, but on many others as well.
I am a FIRM believer that we should all NEVER give up on our goals or dreams. There is no question about it life gets extremely difficult at times and we often wonder how we are going to make it through those hard times. It is so incredibly important to NEVER give up and always continue to try our best at everything in life because determination will win in time.
The quote that I am sharing with y’all today holds so much meaning to me. I really hope once you read it you will also find a lot of meaning and it will help you to never allow anything in life to defeat you, as you are SO much stronger than that.
Of course I am looking forward to reading your thoughts on this quote, but I wanted to quickly share with y’all why this means so much to me. Many of us deal with chronic illnesses and or other struggles in life and I know how hard it can be. You might remember me saying this in one of my earlier posts, but I will remind you about it. When I was first diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis almost 19 years ago I made a promise to myself that I would NEVER allow this illness to defeat me. It isn’t easy but I have held true to this promise. There have been many times when the MS became so frustrating and difficult, but I am still here to say it hasn’t taken as much from me as it could have if I didn’t so fight hard against it. The pain, headaches, fatigue, muscle spasms and neuropathy I battle daily hasn’t ended but I still won’t give up the hope I hold for a cure.
Thank y’all for visiting my site this morning and I hope you have a great week! I promise you I will respond to all comments just as quickly as I can because I really love and value to relationships we have built. Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love , comfort and many positive vibes!
Always, Alyssa

Encouraging, uplifting, empowering and inspiring as always, you are one tough cookie & the essence of a ‘chronic illness warrior’. It’s about being honest that things can be really, really sh*t sometimes, even a lot of the time, and it’s okay to take time out and feel whatever you’re feeling, but never give up. Don’t let it hold you back from life, find new avenues to explore, adapt your dreams, keep hope alive and keep trying. Happy Monday – I hope the week treats you well lovely! 🙂

I just love reading your blog. I feel so different after seeing what you deal with on a daily basis compared to myself. The courage and strength you have to get up every day and face the challenges that come your way is amazing. You never complain, you just remain hopeful that better days are coming. I so admire the person you are and the determination you have that you will make a difference not only in your life but in the lives of the people you touch every day. You are so right, our biggest failure is choosing not to try and give it our best everyday. If you can do it, so can I. Thank you for your beautiful spirit and encouraging words. All my Love & Support, Mom💜

Thank you so much for sharing this Mom! I do believe that staying positive is very beneficial and it helps more than most understand. I also firmly believe that when faced with many decisions and tasks, it is best to take things one at a time and know everything will get taken care when they are supposed to. Please never forget that the only time we really do fail is when we give up. This is the reason why I have never surrendered to the MS and never will because that would be my biggest failure in life! I really appreciate all of your kind and uplifting words! All my love!

Your daughter Alyssa is an amazing writer and I think she takes after her poppy and she also has a beautiful heart. Whenever I am having a bad day she is someone I am able to vent to, she is very thoughtful and wise. She has a very positive outlook on life and always responds to all of my comments. She has shared some amazing quotes which have really lifted me up some days and she writes straight from her heart.

Sorry about my late response. I haven’t been very well recently and have been feeling like giving up so I needed to read a quote like that. And that quote is so true about not trying at all being a failure. It is very similar to the quote I posted about seeing everything as an experiment and you’ll never fail.
