Motivational Monday!

motivational-monday.jpgGood morning y’all! I hope you had a nice long weekend! Four days off of work was definitely a really great opportunity to enjoy life. There was never any rushing around or having an annoying alarm wake me. Thankfully I was able to get up when I wanted to, which was still early, but not as early as I have to for work! I hope y’all enjoyed your long weekend and the holiday we just had!

Going back to work after being off four days isn’t easy, but we do what we have to do. I definitely feel like a little motivation would be beneficial for all of us. I hope you enjoy the quote I am sharing this morning and I hope you find meaning as you read it!17-best-ideas-about-power-of-positivity-on-pinterest-quotes-54947

I look forward to reading your comments, which I will respond to as quickly as I can. I have actually learned how to balance working full-time, still blogging and doing other things that make me happy in life. Over the weekend I started crocheting another blanket for our love seat in our living room. I wanted this blanket to match the other blanket we use for our couch, but just a little smaller! Crocheting is a fun and relaxing hobby!

I do believe that Monday is the perfect day to make a fresh start. Everything that Monday corrects past weekhappened last week is in the past and it is incredibly important to forget about what went wrong and work to make this week better! We all make mistakes that we wish would could take back, but with those mistakes we normally learn many valuable lessons to make ourselves that much better!

Thank y’all for visiting my site this morning. I hope you have a great day and I really hope you are feeling the best you possibly can! Whatever you do, please remember nothing is worth getting stressed about and that includes work. You and your health are way more important than anything related to work. Things will get done, even if it isn’t today, tomorrow is another day! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of ❤ love, comfort and many positive vibes!

My signature heart

❤Always, Alyssa❤

  1. Happy Monday Alyssa! Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving, and that your week is off to a good start. I love the quote about ending the day with a positive – going to sleep with something positive on our mind can certainly help us wake up on the “right” side of the bed the following morning.😊

  2. The reminder about each day, minute, or new week being the chance for a fresh start is so empowering. I’m glad you’re getting hang of the balancing act and managing to do something nice to relax over the weekend too, sounds like crocheting is the perfect escape and you’ll have a cute blanket at the end of it! 🙂
I hope the week treats you kindly, Alyssa xx

    • Thank you so much for your great comment! I am glad you liked this quote! It took me time, but I am definitely getting into the swing of working, blogging and crocheting! The other blanket we have for the couch is big, so a slightly smaller one for the love seat will be pretty! It is amazing how relaxing crocheting can be! I hope you have a great week sweetie!

      • I would be happy to share a picture of it, once I get it started again. I decided to start over because a mistake in the very beginning. I honestly do not know how to knit, but my guess is crocheting is easier because you only use one needle. There are plenty of videos on YouTube about how to crochet and there are many different types! I learned about 20 years ago, so during the winter when I start a new blanket I often need a refresher! xxx

  3. Excellent post Alyssa! I totally agree, there is never any point in stressing out because things eventually sort themselves out one way or another. Sometimes you just have to put your head down and get through it, but tomorrow is another day. Great quote! I love to crochet too, though I haven’t done it for ages. I recently learned how to armknit, which is better for me because it’s not as finger fiddly. It’s really easy and super fast, I just need to figure out how to make my stitches even so the blanket doesn’t end up all skew-gee. 🤣 I’m so happy to hear you’ve found a good balance with everything. It sounds like your move was a really positive thing. So happy for you! Have an excellent day, my friend! 💕

    • I am so glad you enjoyed this post and definitely appreciate your comment!! I learned how to crochet years ago and now tend to only do it in the colder months. It is normally relaxing, well until something goes wrong like mine did. I think I just missed counted when I started it, but luckily I didn’t get too far and can just basically start over! The move really was a positive thing and I am glad we did this. Now I am really curious about how to armknit. I will have to look it up! I hope your week has started off well!!!

  4. Crocheting is a wonderfully calming thing. I love the whole being able to do it as I can, that was the biggest reason I started. The seeing the happiness at crocheted gifts being received only gives me reason to keep going. 🙂

    • Crocheting can be so relaxing and even fun, until a minor error is made. I saw last night I must have miss counted. so my blanket was a little off. The good thing was, I had not gotten too far so starting over isn’t a horrible thing!! I have given gifts before to my mother and she loved it!!

      • The great thing about crochet mishaps is that you can work with them, make them look unique and almost intended. It makes things more personal if they have their own uniqueness.

      • I know you are right that crocheting mishaps adds character, but the one I made irritated me. I was afraid that all I would see would be the mishap right at the beginning. I might be a little bit of a perfectionist!

      • I get that way at times. I’ve undone rows to fix something, but anymore I just keep going and make it part of how it goes. Life’s too short for me to make everything just right. That and I don’t have enough time, need to get everyone’s stuff done for Christmas.

      • Thankfully right now I am not making them as Christmas gifts. Maybe I should think about that though! The one I was making and will be starting over is just for my house, so I really shouldn’t make such a big deal about it. I just think every time I see the mistake, it’s all I will see.

  6. A four day weekend. How nice and relaxing. You can croquet a whole blanket. Oh Wow, I’m impressed. That is super difficult. I’d like to see some photos of your croqueting. Maybe I can share them on my website when I realise my blogger art awards.
