Motivational Monday!

276405-Good-Morning-Have-A-Lovely-Day-Happy-MondayGood morning y’all! I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing weekend! This was the first weekend in our new home, we didn’t have to make the 2 hour drive one way back to our old home. It was a good thing we didn’t have anything that needed our attention because I felt absolutely terrible ALL weekend! Part of me thinks that the change in weather is effecting me and NOT in a good way! I have been battling with a massive migraine/headache since Saturday and my legs have been completely out of control with pain and burning sensation. The way I explained the leg issue to my husband was, I feel like there are spiders with fire on them just crawling up and down my legs ALL day! It is an annoying and painful feeling that literally nothing helps!

With having a not very pleasant weekend and a new week starting, I definitely need something to get my day and week started off the right way. I really find a lot of real and true meaning to EVERY word in this quote.

before you talk listen

Maybe I am wrong, but I think way too many people do not STOP to think before they  react to any given situation. Not taking a moment to breathe before reacting in life normally doesn’t lead to anything positive or productive. Our behaviors and reactions can be very powerful, so in my own opinion it is better to have those be more on the positive side than negative.train your mind

Thank you so much for stopping by my site this morning. I hope y’all have a lovely day and you are feeling well. The temperatures changed so quickly where I live, so my poor body is just adjusting to the colder weather. Please always remember that I am sending y’all LOTS of love ❤ and comfort!

My signature heart

❤Always, Alyssa❤

  1. First off – I hope the pain lessons. With the changing weather it can be a sign of good or bad for a lot of people. Hopefully whatever is going on passes soon. It is such a helpless feeling, I know.

Yes, listening and thinking before acting is rare. You pretty much summed up the fault of my 20’s. Had I mastered those two things life would have been a whole lot easier. 🙂

Here’s to a pain free week. I hope the best for you.

  2. I feel your pain–I have arthritis, particularly in my feet, and when the weather gets colder and I have to change from summer to winter shoes, I go immediately into a flare! Takes a couple of weeks to calm down, especially when the temperature fluctuates the way it does here:-)

  3. What a great quote. I wish I had listened more, I often just act without thinking and listening to what others are saying. I am sorry to hear you haev a massive migraine and the paraesthesia down your leg. That must be awful. I know what migraines are like as I get severe ones so I hope you are able to get some rest. Sometimes only the dark room works. Rest up and take care and take things easy.

    • Thank you and I am glad you liked the quote. It isn’t always easy to think before we speak, but it is best so we do not have to feel the need to apologize for speaking ill words. It all takes time to learn. Migraines are horrible!! I can deal much better with all the other pain I have, but migraines keep me down for days. I hope you are feeling well and not having any of those migraines!

      • The migraines are getting a lot more frequent for me now and I am not looking forward to the summer. But I love the quote. Words of wisdom I think. I should save it before I can’t find it actually. Hope you have a better week and a more restful weekend this one coming.

      • Thank you sweetie! I really hope your migraines do not get too much worse than they have been. I am so happy you enjoyed the quote I shared. It is funny how the most simple words can have such an impact on our thoughts and lives!!

  4. Lately my problem is I think too much without acting! Sometimes, we can suffer paralysis through analysis, but I suppose my analysis needed to be in overdrive of late. I’ll be back in the high life again, though, in no time. And, with any luck, I’ll start overtalking the bloviators. 😉

And look at me, I’m on Monday on Wednesday instead of Friday this week … I’m getting better!

    • At least you can recognized what you feel like you are doing. That is a step in the right direction. I think maybe being a thinker isn’t a bad thing and you are being too hard on yourself. At least you are reading Monday’s on Wednesday, which is a huge improvement!!!
