Good morning y’all! I hope you had a nice restful weekend and you are ready to start a new week with positive thoughts! This is the last weekend that I will have to work all week and then finish up some left over moving, I am looking forward to a weekend that I will be able to just rest and enjoy the new house!
I am sure y’all heard about the devastation Hurricane Michael did last week to a few. The havoc those in Florida experienced is truly heartbreaking to me. Personally, I know several people who live in Florida and even though they lost so much, they didn’t lose their lives which is SO important. Houses and personal belongings can be replaced, but lives can’t be replaced. Please, help me with sending hopeful and loving
thoughts/prayers to all those that were affected by Hurricane Michael. I feel like many are in need this and if we join together we can help with our thoughts.
The quote I want to share with y’all today has a lot of meaning to me and I really hope you find some meaning and hope in it. We all go through difficult and dark times in life, which often allows us to forget there is a light out there that will help us through.
Thank you for stopping by my site this morning. I always appreciate the support you offer me and I can’t thank you enough for your thoughts and prayers for those in the states affected by Hurricane Michael.
I hope y’all have a great start to a new week that has so much potential. Today allows for us to let go of what happened or didn’t happen last week and just start over again. Please know that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love and comfort!
Always, Alyssa
The winds from Michael were scary here in SC. I can only imagine what it was like for those that took a direct hit on the Gulf =/

I actually live in SC and the winds were quite scary! Three weeks ago we were living in NC where my mother still lives, she told me the winds were terrible and she lost power. I have seen the pictures from the coast and it really is heartbreaking. I am glad you are okay though!

Yes, we just relocated from NC 3 weeks ago. It is a small world and so wild how you come across people that live so close. If you don’t mind me asking, what part of SC do you live in?

That is so wild!! Who would have thought we would live in the same city? How long have you lived in Greenville? We have been here 3 weeks today and so far I like it much better that Charlotte!!!

I know, small world! What part are you in? I have been here for 9 years.

It seems like a good little city so far. Traffic is SO much better than Charlotte and people understand that a green light means GO!! All I know about the part we live in is, it is near Wade Hampton High School. I have no idea what part that is. What part do you live in? We actually bought my husband’s grandparent’s family home, so it is a good place to live. Over the weekend I found Wal-Mart because I refuse to go to Target on Woodruff Rd, too hectic!!!

Very cool! I am close to Mauldin by I-385. Avoid Woodruff Rd at all costs on a Saturday and Fridays at lunch time. Ah, people driving here makes me insane!

So far I haven’t had many issues with driving because I live 4 miles from my job! I did venture out Sunday to Wal-Mart in Taylors, it wasn’t too bad. I hope things around Woodruff will get better because I like Target better than Wal-Mart!

That kind of sucks!!! I need to find stores that are good to go to. I know there is the Haywood Mall, but I haven’t been there yet. Someday I will get out more. Have you ever been to Falls Park?

Haywood Mall is meh. But i hate shopping. Falls park is good

If I have to shop, I prefer shopping online. I did always like going to Target, but that isn’t happening considering it’s on Woodruff!!

I love this quote about the butterfly. It’s such a beautiful thought. Butterflies are so beautiful. You know me, I love butterflies. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the people affected by Hurricane Michael. I hope you have a restful weekend.

Thank you so much! I am a little obsessed with butterflies. I have then all over my house and even on my desk at work! I think they are a little magical, but many think I am crazy when I say that. So glad I found someone else that loves butterflies! It really is sad how many lives were turned upside down after Michael. I hope you are feeling well today and I hope you have a great day!

Ditto. I have them all over my house too. There’s a whole line of them just above my windows and every time I look up they are there. Something beautiful to look at. I am actually going to be selling some on my new website https://all-hearts.org/shop/ soon as well as my butterfly paintings.
I am not any better, tired and overworked but I hope you are having a lovely day!

That’s so true! For me, reliance on Jehovah God really helps me through hard times. One of my favorite scriptures is Isaiah 41:10 which says, “Do not be afraid, for I am with you.Do not be anxious, for I am your God.I will fortify you, yes, I will help you,I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.” Thank you for this motivational quote.

The new place is great so far. The job has been great and the people are absolutely amazing. It is taking me time to get adjusted to working full-time and doing anything with my blog. I am really sorry it has been so long since we have been able to chat. I am working on getting better with this!! How have you been doing?

I am so happy to see you are doing well!
I am beyond thrilled that where I am working is pretty great! I am not use to working with nice and caring people. I really do love the city we moved to as it is smaller than where we came from!!
