Motivational Monday!

happy-monday-good-morning-wish-image-pics-happy-monday-imageGood morning y’all! I hope you had a lovely & enjoyable weekend! My weekend was spent finishing up things at our old house. My husband and I were at our old house for 8 hours working very hard on Saturday! Thankfully I was able to spend Sunday just relaxing and preparing for my second week at my new job! I am so happy to report I am still liking the people I am working with and the job continues to get even better.

A few weeks ago while working at my old job, I needed to read motivational quotes in order to get my mind in the right place for another week in a very hostile work environment. Today when I share a motivational quote with y’all it is because even if we enjoy our job, we need a little motivation to get over the weekend blues. I hope you enjoy and find meaning the quote I am sharing!4b1e4bf6e558e23c71d008a9ad443670

I have many reasons why this quote holds meaning for me, but I would love to read what you think. So many times in life we might become unhappy with where we live or what we do for a living , but so often forget we do have the power and ability to change things in our life. My husband and I just moved about 2 hours from where we started our journey together and I started a completely new job. My point is, we were not completely happy in the city we were living and I was miserable at my job, so we adjusted our sails together in hopes for better times!screen-shot-2013-10-21-at-9-50-28-am

Thank y’all for visiting my site this morning. I hope you have a wonderful day and I hope you are feeling as great as you can. I want y’all to know that I am slowly working to get back to a good blogging place, not because I have to but because I want to. I know many people would say to not stress about blogging and I shouldn’t add anything extra to my plate right now, but writing and blogging are a great way for me  to release pressure and stress! Please remember that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love ❤ and comfort!

My signature heart

❤Always, Alyssa❤

    • Thank you! I am glad things are starting to come together with the house and life in general. I still do not feel like the house is as organized as I would like, but it will be fine. I am very pleased that the job is going well. Honestly, last week was hard and then on Saturday doing more work on the old house was VERY hard on my, but I survived!!! How are you doing lately?

    • Thank you for reading and making a great comment. You are 100% right that the quote can be applied to anyone and everyone. I hope you have a nice day and keep watch on where your sails are heating! Take care and I hope you have a nice week!!

  2. Happy Monday to you! It is Tuesday evening for me here. I have heard that quote many many times. It’s not one of my favourites unfortunatelyas I guess there are some times where we can’t adjust our sails. For example if I wasn’t happy with my job I’d be unemployed because I can’t move two hours away just to find a job I am satisfied with but I guess you didn’t like the city you were living in either where as I love mine as I’ve grown up there. Take the time to blog before you do as your blogs should come from your heart and showcase your love for writing like they used to.

    • Some of the quotes I come across could be ones others have heard many times before, however we sometimes need a reminder. I just want to clear something up, we didn’t move 2 hours away because we weren’t satisfied with our jobs, we moved because we had the opportunity to buy my husband’s grandparents family home. I wouldn’t move until I had a job because insurance is important to me. This move wasn’t forced, but it moved fast because I was able to find a job with benefits. The reason I haven’t blogged much is because I have been busy with adjusting and moving, but when I do it does come from the heart, so your comment confused a me a little. I hope you have a good day!

      • You are correct, I didn’t like what you said and do not like you implying we have lots of money because that is not the case at all. We are living on a very fixed amount and can’t afford much of anything at the moment. We are fortunate enough to have help from family. The house we bought is a home that was in my husband’s family for a very long time and was actually built by his great grandfather. Also I do not appreciate you saying that I have double ups on quotes as that isn’t true at all.

      • Sorry that you found what I said offensive, it wasn’t intended to be. I can’t remember what I actually said but I don’t think I said anything about money. All I was trying to say is that when you said “This move wasn’t forced, but it moved fast because I was able to find a job with benefits” that you were lucky you were able to find a good job so soon in the location your husband’s grandparent’s home is as for me it was a struggle, if you understand what I mean? Why do I think that you’ve shared that quote about the sails before? I have read that quote many times but someone shared it recently and I seemed to think it was you but it was probably one of the other bloggers. I am a little worried about you because you seem stressed so if you need to take a break from blogging for a while that’s OK. Well it’s finally the end of a long working week. I hope your pain goes away and you have time to rest over the weekend.

      • Please no worries at all. Things have been a little overwhelming lately and I am sorry for my reaction to your comment. Being so incredibly tired from working full-time again has been a struggle so I am probably overly sensitive. I do make sure I do not re-post quotes and I know many people post quotes. I appreciate your concern and I have taken my blogging down a lot. There is no way I can work full-time and blog like I use to, but it is a great stress relief for me. I want to stay in touch with many people and you are included in this. I know you have been dealing with a lot and I wish there was something I could do to help you. Even though I am not going to be blogging as much as I was, I want you to still feel comfortable emailing me anytime. I really hope you start feeling much better soon and I hope your weekend is relaxing!

      • My bad. I read so many blog posts as they all come up in my reader and I think there are a couple of other bloggers who also share positive quotes and I accidently mixed your blog with another blogger who had posted the same quote. As you once said to me great minds think alike. I didn’t mean to upset you. i hope you have a good day!
