Zest for Life, Love & Strength!

Zest for life, love and strengthGood afternoon y’all! I hope you are enjoying your weekend and for those of us living in the states, I hope y’all are enjoying your long weekend! I sincerely hope you are feeling well. I can honestly tell you that I have been doing my best to not do much of anything and just enjoy my three days away from living on a schedule.

I think it is safe to say that we all go through difficult times over the course of our life. We will question anything and everything about what we are going through and the life we are living, only to not get any real true answers. I might be wrong, but I do believe that life was never meant to be easy. Even if we do not notice it, we learn and gain so much strength and knowledge with the challenging time we all face.Sunrise - Carolina Beach

I guess I feel that with all we deal with every single day of our life it can be pretty challenging. However we still must find the ability to enjoy the life we were given, love ourselves and those important to us and of course remember the strength we carry within ourselves as it is extremely powerful!

Even when life throws numerous curve balls at us, daily or even hourly, we still manage to do our best to bounce back from every hit. Some of the hits might be a little more intense than another, but that still doesn’t stop us! Each of us is full of love and determination, which enables us to keep up our fight for a pleasant life.

9c567cf19e3e6a689483b44f7f2ac52f--my-style-so-trueIt is crazy to think that every struggle makes us stronger because some of us have been to hell and back again so many times that we lost count, but still we may feel weak at times. I know over the 18 years I have lived with Multiple Sclerosis, there have been days I have felt like I was being punished for who know what. However, even with every horrible situation I have been through with this illness, I have never allowed Multiple Sclerosis to ruin my life and defeat me ever!

Do you ever wonder how you find the strength to get up every morning when you do not know how what do expect? Many chronic quote17-04illnesses are very unpredictable. This can mean that every day is different from another or even being a little more real, every hour of the day can different. This comes down to always being prepared for the unexpected and just keep moving forward without hesitation. This is not easy for anyone and yet that is what all of us do!

I do believe that we all have a “Zest for life, love and strength” because most days we all have the enthusiasm and energy to do it all and much more! There might be days we feel so exhausted from pain, which honestly can make us feel helpless, but just the fact that we have not given up shows our true inner strength. I think even in our weakest moments we still have a determined power that keeps us on track with our goals for life.  Is there zest for lifeanyone that is part of your life deal with what you do daily? I without a doubt can so ABSOLUTELY NOT! I would gladly change places with anyone when I hear what their very minor complaints are! The truth is, we all handle our struggles differently and for those that have been lucky enough to  have never had to endure what all of us do, they just do not understand and we can’t force them to comprehend!

Thank y’all for taking the time to visit my site today! I hope you enjoyed what I have written about today and really look forward to your comments, which I will respond to just as quickly as I can! I hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday and if this is a three-day weekend for you, I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend! As always I am sending y’all LOTS of love ❤and comfort!

My signature heart

❤Always, Alyssa❤

    • I am so glad you have a long weekend in Canada as well! It is nice to have this time to rest and not deal with any pressures! I have done my best to just focus my energy on the present and not think about what what the future may or may not hold. Sometimes I think the thoughts of the future is very stressful. I am so glad you liked this post. I also really appreciate your amazingly kind comment. I do try to stay positive because negativity is very contagious and makes it hard to breath! I hope the rest of your weekend is wonderful sweetie!

  2. I believe to the best of one’s ability we should live like to the fullest possible. I’ve got into hiking. And it’s awesome because you never know what you’re going to see on the trail. And my hardest hikes have led to the best views. I certainly enjoyed reading this! Thank you for sharing!

  3. I absolutely love this post of yours Alyssa. The Dance, Love, Sing , Live quote is another one of my favourites. I always dance like nobody is watching and it helps me let everything out. I am feeling a lot like I’m being punished for something at the moment actually. It’s been a bad couple of days.
The sail quotes’s nice too. So true, we have to adjust our days to how we are feeling. If only others understood. I am sorry to hear that your supervisor is still giving you hard time too. Xx

    • I am glad you enjoyed this post! Dancing when no one is watching can be a very freeing feeling! Singing when no one is listening can also be freeing! I am so sorry it hasn’t be a good few days, but I do hope things improve for you soon. As hard as it might be, try to not focus on how bad you are feeling but on how well you can feel and have felt before.
We often have to adjust our sails during life and that adjustment can make a huge impact. My supervisor was not and is not worth the time it takes to think about him because is is just a very miserable and unhappy person!

  4. Incredible post! Chronic illness unpredictable – Chiari 🙋🏽‍♀️ yes! Ugh! It changes, literally from one minute to the next, just when you think you may be having a few ok minutes, boom! That pain, the symptoms just hits you out of nowhere!

I had to go take my oldest daughter to buy some shoes, I try to eat before I go, take my medicine, etc etc – the whole regimen before leaving my house, I get to the shopping center, I park the car, I look down on my lap – only I can’t. My vision went out! Yes! It happens. Like when someone takes a picture of you and the flash just blinded you. That’s it – only worse! You try to blink it away and can’t. Yes. We had to stay in the car until I felt better.

But it’s through these moments that the fighter in me comes out, God calms my heart and I whisper, ‘I’ve got this.’ 😊🙏🏽

    • I am so sorry you went through this while trying to shop for shoes for your daughter. I am glad she was with you and that it didn’t happen while you were driving. I imagine you have dealt with this while driving before, but you are good at knowing the best way to handle it.

I think we all have a fighter inside that comes out during our worst times. The fighter might stay dormant until we need it, but it is always there for us!

      • Yes, Alyssa. You never knew you were a fighter until you had no other choice.
My doctors haven’t taken my driving privileges away and honestly I don’t know how I would feel if they ever did. I do only drive short distances and as you mentioned, know our own bodies helps immensely. Also, if not to my therapy sessions, I don’t leave my without a ‘buddy,’ which usually is my oldest daughter. I’ll whisper to her when and if I’m at my worst pain and need a break, and she’ll help. 🙂

      • Yes, she’s so loving and kind, I continue to pray that God keeps her in His path. And if there’s a hiccup, that she can always remember that He’s a forgiving father, always waiting for her with open arms.
That’s great, can’t wait to read it Alyssa! Thank you so much!
I see you’ve seen my stats?! 😌 Haha thank you! 😊🙏🏽

  5. Beautiful Alyssa. Such truth here. As you know, I have not got M.S. but something different that produces daily challenges. You are right in saying that others cannot comprehend, and we cannot make them comprehend. This makes the path very lonely, but we keep treading it. Beautiful words A,yssa.

  6. Alyssa, what an awesome post! I do agree with you. Life is not meant to be easy but each trial we come through definitely makes us stronger. Each and every one of us will face different challenges and it’s all about how we react to them. We never know what someone else is going through so if we could only keep an open mind and an open heart our challenges may be easier to endure. We’re all in this world together so let’s help one another have a happier and healthier life. I really enjoyed this post and all the quotes you included. You are truly an inspiration. All my Love & Support, Mom💜💜

  7. I dont have chronic pain, but I have complex ptsd which is a nightmare to live with, as is my dissociation and sometimes even my blindness! It throws up all sorts of things for me! I am glad I am alive though! I am so grateful for my life! xo
