good morning thursday funny Unique Wake up and Seize the Day

Good morning y’all! I hope your week has been a great one and the good thing is, today is Friday Eve!! I think referring to Thursday as Friday Eve makes the entire day that much better because it allows us to know the weekend is upon us! This has been a pretty long week for me because I have been forced to work more hours due to my “team” being short two people, one is on vacation and the others was terminated. As hard as it has been for me, I have done pretty well working 6 1/2-7 hours each day! These hours have drained me mentally, physically and caused a lot of additional pain, but the weekend is almost here so I will be allowed to recuperate!

So early this week I mentioned that I wanted to do a second day of motivation. I said I did not want to do Wednesday because another amazing blogger Mackenzie at http://lifewithanillness.com/ does a wonderful Midweek Motivation! I encourage you to visit Mackenzie’s site because she handles the illnesses she lives with incredibly well and with so much positivity! I find Mackenzie to be encouraging and so 2-butterflies-480-pxinspiring!

With the help from another amazing blogger at https://thelonelyauthorblog.com/, I decided that Pick-Me-Up Thursday was a great title! By Thursday most of us our completely worn out and need a little hope and happiness! I know by Thursday I have already dealt with work, stress, fatigue, additional pain and much more so a little pick me up to make it just one more day is great! I really want to encourage y’all to check out https://thelonelyauthorblog.com/ because this person writes the most amazing and passionate poetry and I really enjoy every one of the poems shared!

I hope you enjoy my first Pick-Me-Up Thursday motivation and I am looking forward to reading your comments! I find this quote incredibly encouraging and so true because I do believe that positive thinking creates positive results for our lives! change your thinking

Thank you for visiting my site today and I hope you have a lovely day! I am excited to add another motivation quote day to my posts and I truly hope you find them helpful! Please never forget that I am always sending y’all LOTS of love❤ and comfort!

My signature heart

❤Always, Alyssa❤

  2. Beautiful post. I think this second day of motivation is great. Many of us need a second wind after the early week stress. And Alyssa, you are the perfect person to do this. Your positive vibes as contagious.
Thank you for the kind mention. I appreciate that.
Finally, great message today. When I made the decision to only think positive, I changed my life forever. Life is too hard and short to focus on the negative.
Have a glorious day full of sunshine and smiles.

      • Oh, I live and work in Toronto during the week but my family is in a small town about 100 km away. I’m taking off early this week to spend time with my husband. It’s hard so I take a Friday off here and there.

      • It must be a little hard being away from your husband, but the weekends offer lots of happiness! I guess absences makes the heart grow fonder! Do you like Toronto? There is another person I talk to from the blogging community that lives in Toronto. My husband has been wanting to move to Canada for a long time and even more now with the way our president acts!!! Our healthcare in the states is AWFUL!!!!! How do you feel about the healthcare in Canada?

      • Healthcare in Canada is amazing–don’t let anyone tell you differently:-) Toronto is OK, but I live right downtown and it’s a pretty busy and dirty area. Our actual home is in a lovely little town outside of Kitchener. How I ended up in Toronto is a long story, and not a very pleasant one, although it worked out really well for me in the end, so I guess that’s what counts!

      • Oh I have always said that what we are told by the government here is all a lie, especially when they lie about how awful free healthcare is! I just can’t understand how anyone could think that healthcare in Canada or really in any developed country that offers free healthcare is a negative. I am pretty firm with my beliefs and that causes tension with people that think Trump is a great president:)! I am glad the long and unpleasant story worked out for you though! What do you do for work, if you do not mind me asking?

      • I work for a government agency, and they’re all based in Toronto, unfortunately! I’m always shocked when I hear that people think Trump is a great president. In other countries like mine, we just laugh at him!

      • That is pretty amazing!! Do you enjoy working for the government agency?
I am still shocked on how many people actually believe Trump is an amazing and honest president. I think that every word he speaks and tweets is nothing but a lie, so it is best when we hear anything from him to automatically go with the direct opposite!

      • Please pardon my language, but we are hell bent on moving to Canada! I think the US has gone down hill extremely fast and it is only getting worse by the days! Every word Trump speaks and tweets destroys this country even more. The idea of free healthcare is very appealing for many reasons partially because everyone here in the states is at constant risk of losing their expensive healthcare! Justin Trudeau seems pretty laid back and in comparison to Trump, he is easy on the eye!

      • It’s true! It’s guaranteed that we will face many challenges in our lives. But I think the major challenge is how we react to those situations. That’s why I migrated to your blog, it’s positive even when you face tough times with ms, life and every other obstacle you face. You still brighten everyone’s day 🙂

      • I really appreciate your kind words! I agree with you 100%, we all face challenges in life, but how we react to all those challenges is very important! If we react to challenges in a negative manner things may not improve, but if we react in a positive manner we have a better chance of success! I hope you have a great weekend!!!

      • Absolutely! Positivity is definitely something to practice every day. The more we surround ourselves with positive fun people, it helps our mood so much. Have a great weekend as well! 🙂

  4. Great writing as we all need to grab from our bag of tools by this time of the week. The weekend presents opportunities to rest and I am hoping you are able to get some and recharging your fuel and energy. MS can be so difficult as I have very close friends who struggle with this and I am always touched as I see them grow in an authenticity in the midst of it, blossoming as God’s women!

    • Thank you so much for reading and making an amazing comment! The weekend does present great opportunities to rest and recharge, which I feel most of us need! How is your friend doing with MS? Do you mind if I ask what medicine your friend takes? There are SO many and I know they all work different for everyone! How long has your friend lives with MS? I am sorry I got off on a question tangent! I am always interested in learning how others deal with illnesses.

      • My one friend ended up in a nursing home 4 years ago due to a fall. The one I see the most is on the new experiemental MS infusion chemo medication and it is having horrific side effects for her. Her neurologists told her to stay on it though. It is her only option as she is around 40+ and not doing very well at all.

This new medication is very expensive, like $!5,000 per infusion and she has to have regular intervels, not sure of schedule, but its making her extremely ill.

Both have had to leave jobs due to it. The one in the nursing home is 63 and I tried to advocate in helping her to get home under a program in our state, but due to her issues, she prolonged any decisions until it was too late and now she is unable to leave and return home. She signed over her house to them too.

      • That is horrible she had to sign her house over to them. It is a shame that medication is so darn expensive. I am on Gilenya, which would cost $1500 per month. Thankfully, I was able to qualify for assistance or I would never be able to afford it. I personally think that healthcare in the states is horrible because EVERY other developed country has FREE healthcare and the US needs to think about it a little more instead of dismissing the idea!

My neurologist tried pushing me to do the infusion chemo medication, but I was very firm with no. I did one other infusion medication, but it made me sick. I was losing weight on it and all doctors want me to gain weight.

      • They are both woman of faith. The older one was a LSW involved in helping children and it has been a downhill journey for her. We used to gather at her home for bible studies when she was unable to make it to fellowship.

She went from walking, then had a cane, then into a wheelchair due to her leg hyperextending.

Headaches (Migranes) eye issues are common agonies with both of them, ongoing for days and days at a time.

My one friend in her 40’s is a worship leader, sweet young girl with a huge heart, kind and compassionate. Her mom and sister both have MS, her mom has since passed.

      • I am glad they have their faith to help them through the difficult times. Everyone handles these battles in different ways, but I am glad their faith keeps them going!
