I am so excited to have been nominated by Just Me at https://happymesshappiness.wordpress.com for the Lyric challenge because I do have a true love for music! It is so wonderful to have been nominated for a challenge by such an amazing person and I just want to thank you once again for this! For anyone that has not visited Just Me’s site, please check out, I think you will enjoy it!!

You know there is always rules to everything in life and I have broken some rules for challenges, but I am going to follow the rules for this challenge! I know y’all are shocked! Here are the rules for this fun challenge!!

The song/lyrics I would love to share with y’all  is “Your Guardian Angel” by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. This song has a lot of meaning to me because it was the song the band played after my husband proposed to me on stage! ❤Yes, I did just say my husband proposed to me on stage with one of our favorite bands! Ronnie Winter is the singer and has a ❤heart of gold! We had drove to Charleston, SC for my birthday almost 8 years ago and were so excited The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus was playing a show there. After the show we ended up hanging out with the band, which we had done previously. Anyways, my husband told Ronnie he was going to propose to me that weekend and Ronnie had the genius idea for us to come to their show the following day in Columbia, SC. There is a lot more to this incredible story, but this was the basic!     • Oh my goodness it really was amazing! I remember being in such shock I do not remember saying the word “yes”! I already heard back from Erin Winter because she reads my posts as well, she really is just as wonderful as the guys in the band! I am so glad you enjoyed this.       • There were WAY too many people in the crowd! I do remember saying I didn’t want to go on stage, but my husband and a guy from the band walked me up there! My husband said Ronnie wanted to say “Happy Birthday”. because my birthday was that Friday. When Ronnie handed the microphone to my husband everyone in the crowd knew what was happening and I was just in SHOCK!!!

      • I am pretty sure I forgot how to breath! I never thought my husband would do something that over the top! I did wait 7 years for the proposal! I am pretty sure every woman in the audience fell in love with my husband and every man hated him! I swear I will never forget this day. He proposed the day after my birthday which is Sept 30th. So he proposed Oct 1 and then we got married the following year on Oct 1! I have so many fond memories!!

      • I never wanted to pressure him into getting married since I was pretty sure marriage was the last thing on his mind. He was one of those young men that just wanted to have fun. I do think I was the only girl that never pressured a man into marriage like most of my friends, I think I deserved the over the top proposal!!

      • I do pretty well at ignoring rude people! It takes a lot to get under my skin. Yesterday when I went to the grocery store, I parked in the handicap parking because this terrible heat bothers me too much. This was the first time in a few years someone had the nerve to make a very ignorant comment to me about it. This man who was probably in his later 40’s came up to my window and said ” You do not looked disabled and I do not think you should be parking in this spot.” I was so shocked and hurt but I did say “You do not know sh*t about what I live with! It is the ignorant people like you that should never reproduce!” I rolled my window up and pulled away. He was so close my side mirror almost hit him. But I did not cry about it I was just so angry that someone would be that mean!!!

      • So sorry that happened. Yeah! I have a handicap decal, but I’m always afraid someone that ignorant will tell me something. It’s tough because I do look ‘normal’ to the naked eye. But I’m not well, physically. It’s these unseen, invisible illnesses that some people just won’t understand.

      • It was pretty heartbreaking, but I try to not allow people like this to bother me much. I know I look like a “normal” 36 year old woman, but the way I feel is anything but normal! I told my husband about it when I got home and said I should not have said anything, but my response was pretty good. These invisible illnesses we have to live with are painful and it can be upsetting when people pass judgement on us. The truth is at the end of the day, those people do not matter at all! I did mean what I said to him people like him should never have children because the children will probably be just like him! I believe people do not care to understand what others go through in life, which is pretty sad! I always try to understand others the best that I can and offer kindness to all, well besides the man at the grocery store I kind of wish my mirror did hit him!

      • We have looked but if anyone recorded it they did not upload it to YouTube. It is crazy he planned to propose in a beautiful garden area in Charleston. I was shocked that Ronnie offered this to him, but actually not really, Ronnie is a good person and he wanted our engagement to be extremely amazing. We had bonded with this band in Charlotte! I feel like everything with the band and the proposal was just meant to be!

        My life has been crazy lately — sorry I am just now replying!! I think your challenge sounds fun but only nominate ME if you think my posting would be of interest to others. If not now- perhaps after I gain more experience with this new hobby!

      • I completely understand! Life does get busy and I do think you posting would be interesting to others! However, with your life being a little crazy, only do this if you want to. I do not ever want to add stress on anyone when I know we all have enough to deal with. There is absolutely NO pressure, I promise!
