Logic and emotion!

logic emotionI am a very passionate and emotional person who has a very hard time separating emotions from logic! When I hear of something that has happened that is not humane, like innocent children being locked in cages or an unarmed person being shot to death by the police for no reason at all, my emotions go into overdrive. But in cases like these, I do not believe that my feelings are illogical but in fact very human and normal!

Do you ever allow your emotions to override your logical side? My emotions💝 have always run very deep because I truly hate to see anyone in distress. I will admit that sometimes my compassion for others causes me a lot of stress and I know that does not help myself or anyone else for that matter. All I have ever wanted to do was help others that are experiencing difficult times. Part of this all leads back to the fact that I strongly believe that everyone should be treated equally and with much respect. human logic and emotion

Y’all already know that I am very upset about how people are being treat throughout the United States. I do believe that the actions of so many are very hateful and inhumane! No matter how you were raised child abuse and out right murder are not the way we are supposed to behave. I personally do not have one violent bone in my body and fail to be able to understand how anyone could cause so much harm to another human being and still be able to sleep well at night. What kind of person could cause so damage to the lives of so many and not have any regrets or sadness? It will just never make sense to me and it will always affect my emotions to the core!

Changing the subject just a little, how are y’all feeling today? I hope you have been how are you feelingenjoying your weekend and feeling as wonderful as you possibly can. I have not done too much this weekend because it is crazy HOT out and that alone just takes all my energy away! Yesterday my legs were hurting me so intensely, but I did go to the grocery store anyway because it needed to be done! All I can say is walking around the grocery store for a short amount of time increased the pain I was already experiencing vastly! At least after my short not so fun time at the grocery store I was able to rest the rest of the day!

well spentMy perfect idea of a weekend evening is being home with my husband and cats watching a movie, which is exactly what I did! What is your idea of a perfect evening on the weekend? I might be a little boring, but I do not really enjoy going out with large crowds! Large crowds tend to make me very uncomfortable and a little stressed! I hope your weekend was spent doing what brings you joy and peace! A weekend that is spent doing what makes you happy leads to a good start to the new week ahead!

Thank you for visiting my site today! Your comments are always appreciated and encouraged. I do promise to respond to all comments as quickly as I can. As always I am sending y’all LOTS of love ❤and comfort!

  1. I think I’m the opposite to you, as I tend to base things more on logic and facts, but I suppose being an emotional person can be viewed as a positive, as it enables a deeper level of empathy towards others. But as you said, it often leads to being stressed about things which are out of your control – I used to be a very emotional person, until I decided that it just wasn’t worth the added stress, so I worked hard to kind of.. let go of negative emotions through things like meditation – worked wonders for me, haha!

Also, I totally agree – I much prefer to have a quiet night in than go out, for the same reason as you – much less drama too, which is always good, haha!
    Hope you’re doing well 🙂

    • I actually do agree with you! Being too emotional adds SO much stress, but I just do not know how to turn it off. I really like what you shared though and I do appreciate your comment!!

Absolutely! Going out adds drama which then adds stress! I hope the rest of your day goes well!!

  2. I’m a happy medium of acting with empathy and logic, and I’m usually able to intertwine the two into my actions and also encourage others to do that, as well.
Also, I love how your post feels like a friendly discussion and how you acknowledge the audience and make this entire blog feel like a welcoming place. You really have a lovely blog!

    • That is a great way to be! I am trying to learn how to be logical and emotional, but honestly the emotions tend to win.

Thank you so much for this wonderful compliment. I really do like having a real discussion with everyone. I really feel like I know everyone on this blog and I love it!! You really made my day ♡♡♡! I hope you have a wonderful evening!

  3. I try to be clinical in my thinking and not get too emotional about things, especially the things I can’t control. Sometimes I feel like an ostrich burying my head in the sand, particularly when it comes to politics because I know nothing potentially changes until this November and 2020.

    • I really wish I could think more like you! I really try to balance my emotions and logic, but there are times my emotions get carried away. It is best to realize that some things we can’t control so we shouldn’t stress about it because that won’t help anyone. Thank you so much for your amazing comment! I hope you and your wife have a wonderful week!

    • Thank you so much for this comment! I am glad to see I am not the only one that allows my emotions to so often take over the logical part of my brain! I want to do nothing more but to help everyone that is suffering. I know that sometimes it isn’t possible, but that won’t stop me from trying!!
I really appreciate everything you said Nicole and hope you have an amazing week! Is it hot where you live? If so, try to stay cool as much as you can!!!

  4. in the warm weather my favorite place to be is at home, on the deck with a cold beer and a cigar looking at the duck pond 100 yards from my deck. It always provides views of ducks, herons, geese, frogs and the occasional deer. Come to think of it, my favorite place is always home…I hate crowds

    • That sounds nice! Watching birds from a distance is nice! Home is typically a quiet place with no drama! Going out around crowds can often allow for drama to sneak into our lives and I much prefer to not allow that to happen!!

  5. I was extremely affected by whats been happening too. Just that super helpless feeling. Ugh!
My perfect weekend are spending time with my family too, including the 2 cats and dog. We’ll be “boring” together. 😃

    • Boring is so much better than the alternative!! What kind of dog do you have? Your cats and dog are friends!?

With all that is going on right now, the feeling of helplessness is overwhelming! I really wish there was something I could do for the poor innocent children. It really breaks my heart!

      • Yes, I agree. At this point in my life boring is fabulous. I have a Shepard/Mix, (Leilani) she is my emotional support dog and is hilarious, just a pile of personality. I just love her. One of the cats, Brad and Leilani are best friends. They play together and sleep together. Our other cat, Milo is king of the house, he also plays with the dog, but in the starring role of Mr. Big. Actually now that I write this, I think the cats have turned the dog into a cat. hmmmm, no wonder there is harmony between the 3 of them. 🙂 🙂
Have a good day my friend. We will keep putting love out there in the universe and hope that it spreads.

      • Leilani looks beautiful and so sweet!! She looks like she would be a fantastic emotional support dog!! My cats are my emotional support! That must be adorable to see your dog and cats sleeping together! The funny thing is considering your dog is always around your cats, she might think she is a cat also! I love that!! Our two cats are so sweet, but our oldest cat controls the house. She just allows my husband and I to live here:)!!
I hope your day is going well!! We definitely need to keep spreading the love into the universe and hopefully it will make good changes!!

  6. I can totally relate!. I think we are just sensitive souls. I used to hate being called sensitive, but it’s not a bad thing. It’s hard to try and not get emotional over situations we cant control. I have stopped watching the news over here in the UK, as the knife crime has risen so much, it breaks my heart to hear of another death. As long as we dont dwell on events we cant control – that’s a challenge. I’m such a home body also. I love nothing more than staying home, pottering. I hope you are having a lovely Monday and keeping as cool as you can.

    • I use to take it as an insult when people would say I was overly sensitive, but now I do not look at it the same way. I have been an emotional and sensitive person my entire life and I just can’t change. It is crazy that you have knife crime in the UK and here we have gun crimes. We also have political crimes as our president is in my opinion evil! Separating kids from their parents and locking them in cages is SO inhumane. I guess crime happens all over the place. I try to avoid watching the news because it is so sad, but my husband watches it a lot. I just overhear it all. Home is the calmest place to be. Staying home allows us to stay safe and away from drama! I hope your are doing well. Is it hot in the UK now?

  7. Aww! It looks like you had a wonderful time this weekend. It’s been nearly 30 degrees (C) and I am so tired from all of the heat too! I ran a mile today in the blazing hot – I nearly feel sorry for myself. I nearly fainted in that track!
My weekend hasn’t exactly been productive- but relaxing at least. It’s nice to hear from you – I love a nice post like this ♥️

    Have a wonderful week, Erin | http://kittyjadeblog.com

    • Oh goodness you really should not run with temps that high! You could have heat stroke. I am really tired of all the heat here as well. I mean 96 degrees (F) is way too hot!!
I really enjoy a weekend of doing nothing but relaxing. I stay busy during the week, so my 2 days off work are treasured.
I hope you have a great week and stay nice and cool inside! Is it really hot in the early mornings?

  8. Oh I COMPLETELY understand about not being able to turn off your emotions…I am Canadian but watching what is going on with our neighbours to the south of us has had me losing sleep. I keep expecting someone to ‘fix’ it but instead, each day, it grows worse. I have been trying to channel my worry into prayers for peace, love and understanding but it all feels so hopeless to me lately. I MUST find a balance but it has eluded me so far. It actually helps me to know I am not the only one… thank you…and bless you. I LOVE your blog and am so happy to have found you…😊❤️

    • I do believe things have become so bad down here my husband is more than ready to relocate to Canada! Honestly my husband has wanted to move to Canada for years, but I was a little unsure, I am not unsure anymore. I do keep hoping something will change what is going on the states for the positive, but it is not getting any better.
What part of Canada do you live in? I am so glad to have met you as well!

      • I live in New Brunswick, right on the border of Maine. If you like Maine, you’ll like our province: we have many family ties and definite affinities with the folks in Maine. Stick around until November, though, and do your best to get people to vote. I have almost NEVER had the luxury of voting for who I WANT: I have always voted strategically based on the worst candidate I DON’T want. Better to vote for the least incompetent if it helps you avoid voting in the clearly insane…😳

      • I agree with you! We need to get people in office that actually care about the well being of the citizens here. We would not be moving soon, but my husband has wanted to move to Canada for years. I lived in Vermont for many years growing up and also very close to Maine when I lived in NH. We will see what happens!
