Dismiss the judgments and embrace compassion!

Good afternoonGood afternoon y’all! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful Saturday! Of course it is insanely hot where I live today, but I have learned to accept it because that is the way it will be for the next several months.

So much is going on in the world and it has really affected me emotionally. Life can be viewed as short or even painfully long at times! But, however we view life, why waste any of our precious time passing judgments on others? I do believe too many people judge a book by its cover and fail to see the bigger beautiful picture that each individual is in their own unique way.

I do feel that it is extremely important to always treat others the same way we would likeBe kind to be treated! I do not have any room in my life for hateful and judgmental people. It seems like there are far too many out there that do not view things the same way I do and that is incredibly unfortunate. I am not saying that everyone should follow everything that I do because I am not perfect in any way, but I do feel that we should all try to spread as much love and compassion as we can! I know y’all already do an amazing job with this, but there love is absenseare still so many others that do not!

When I look at the way the country I live in is behaving, it is very troubling to me. It seems that some think it is perfectly acceptable to use innocent children as a bargaining tool, which in my opinion is anything but acceptable! Anyone that has children or use to be a child, which we all were at some point, should not think it is acceptable to use children like they are pawns on a chessboard. It is just incredibly disturbing to me. There are children being taken from their parents and put into cages like animals. These parents and children that are being tormented did not ask for this treatment and definitely DO NOT DESERVE IT!

I will never understand why some people will continue mistreat others just because of the color of their skin, sexual preference, religious beliefs or any other thing that may too many criticsdiffer from them. It is 2018 and we should all be evolving instead some are devolving at an incredible fast pace. We are all entitled to our own opinions, but everyone is also entitled to never have to fear being ostracized for being who they are. I know it is probably obviously, but I strongly believe everyone should be treated equally and with respect.

Thank you for stopping by my site today and reading how passionate I truly am about equality for all❤. I am sorry to go off a rant about how horrible people are treated in the United States, but it is something that I feel is not right in any way! We all have our own opinions and it is perfectly fine if you disagree with anything that I have written. I do look forward to any comments you may have and I will respond as quickly as I possibly can. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I hope you are feeling well! As always I am sending y’all LOTS of❤ love and comfort!

My signature heart

❤Always, Alyssa❤

  1. Great post. I totally agree with you Alyssa. Everyone should be treated equally and if we could pause to think about our actions and how we would have reacted if we were in the other person’s shoes, it would go a long way to shape how we treat people.

  2. Hello Alyssa I understand how you feel about what is going on in your country. I live right north of the USA in Canada. I wish we could all accept the teachings of Jesus Christ and love our fellow man like we love our selves. Hatred has no place in our societies any where in the world. But, a large number of voters ensured the current President would be elected. I am 100 % behind the children and families fleeing the violence their home lands. Using children as pawns is disgusting and cowardly acts of a weak and powerless leader who has no understanding of the real world of politics. It is unfortunate once more that our fellow human beings are going to suffer because of this. I pray for everyone to settle this repulsive action that our Heavenly Father and His Son Our Lord Jesus Christ would never allow. The Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon both say we should love each other as the savior loved us. Just my own opinion from being your northerly neighbor Alyssa.

    • Thank you for your comment! I strongly believe that the president is very cowardly and very weak. He has absolutely no idea how to treat others with any kind of respect. It is so unfortunate how the US is being viewed when I promise not all Americans are like him, I am definitely the direct opposite of him and all of his cowardly followers. My husband has been wanting to move to Canada for years and at this point I could not agree more with him!

      • Alyssa I know it is a shock that your President is undoing all the Humane Stands that your country has held since after WWII. He is destroying all the strategic defenses like the UN, NATO and NORAD. I am sorry for the way my thoughts go. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am an ordained Elder as well. We should forgive people who do wrongs against us but it is hard. Canada is a beautiful place but even we have problems. Our First Nations People who were promised in Treaties since Confederation in 1867 are still languishing with no clean drinking water, no safe housing especially in the northern areas of our country. We do offer a lot more for citizens than most other countries. we all have the same desires to be treated as equals no matter what. You are right some times moving is the only option

      • I also believe in forgiveness, but I think what the president is doing there is no forgiveness for that kind of behavior. I understand where you are coming from though, but my heart is with those that he is causing to suffer. I appreciate your thoughts and beliefs!

      • I have to agree his behavior and treatment is not forgivable in my mind either. Children and families should not be forced to suffer like this. I agree Alyssa 100 % with you

  3. I agree with you. People have forgotten how to be kind and to show compassion.

What is also crazy to me is that kids have been done this way for so long and it was never reported until recently. It is all just horrible.

    • Oh my goodness, I am so incredibly ashamed. I hate to say this because it sounds so unamerican, but at this point I am not at all proud to be an American. We need change and we need it fast before our country is more a dictatorship!

      • You are probably going to laugh at me, but I had not heard of the Chickasaw Nation before. I am so glad you shared this with me. I feel as though I have learned something I should have known more about!

      • It isn’t your fault that you were taught a whitewashed version of American history. Sunshine’s own kid didn’t know about the “trail of tears” until Sunshine took the kid to the Nation’s cultural center. So don’t feel bad about it at all. The fact that you’re open to learning about it is a good thing

      • Thank you! I do feel like all American’s were lied to about the so called values. I feel like there are NO morals or values at all. It was all “fake”! I am a very open minded person with a very kind heart. I will never allow anyone to change that about me.

  4. Another great post, Alyssa! I am in complete agreement with you, too! If only everyone could be empathetic and compassionate, the world would be a much better place. It starts in childhood and I think a lot of people are so caught up in other things or just don’t care enough to teach their children from their toddler years on how to empathize and be kind.

I also agree with you about what is happening at the border. It is a morally atrocious act perpetrated by a morally bankrupt narcissist who will do whatever it takes to get what he wants, including harm innocent children.

I could go on and on about it, but I will stop myself. 😉 Anyway, if more people were like you we would all be in much better shape!! ❤

    • Thank you SO much for this incredible comment Hillary! I am completely and totally outraged by what is going on in this country!! I feel like our country is becoming a dictatorship and the leader is a misbehaving toddler that has a temper tantrum when he does not get what he wants! I am ashamed to say where I live right now because of how the government is treating people! I did fear what the reaction would be by sharing this post because somehow Trump has supporters. I do not what is worse Trump or his supporters.
So as you can probably already tell, I could go on for days on this topic! I think if we had more caring and intelligent people like you the world would be amazing!! I appreciate your comment Hillary because as always it was perfect!

      • I agree completely! He displays symptoms of both Narcissistic Personality Disorder and some sort of degenerative disease like Alzheimer’s or Dementia. I’m not qualified to diagnose, yet I know enough to recognize the symptoms. Either way, he’s dangerous.

I agree with you about the supporters! One part of me tries to empathize with why they voted for him in the first place, but as he continues to fumble through I can no longer explain away why someone would think he is fit to be POTUS.

I could go on about it, too! I’m glad you said it though because it needs to be said!

      • Oh my goodness thank you so much for this comment!!! He is a bad combination of a narcissist and a toddler with really bad behavior! He must have been the child in the sand box that threw toys when he did not get what he wanted!!
Then there is the nasty comments he has made about his daughter. Any father that would say he would sleep with his daughter if she was not his daughter. That is beyond gross!!!
I can not believe he does not feel bad at all for separating children from their parents. It breaks my heart because these children have been traumatized for life and sadly may never see their parents again. It is like he is trafficking children.
I have never been able to get into politics much because it never made sense to me. For the idiot in office now, it just makes me SO mad. My mother and step father voted for that man. They both have preexisting conditions and do not see what Trump is trying to do with that. It really scares me because as you already know I have MS and I am really worried that I will loss my insurance.
Okay, sorry I did not mean to go on that much, but I think I could write for the entire day on how upset I am.
I hope you have an amazing day Hillary!!

  5. Great post chica. Look for the helpers, as Mr Rogers said. We’re all here, loving and finding compassion and creating every day miracles in ourselves and each other. We all discount our little changes and little ways to not be good or big enough and all the problems seem insurmountable, but tell that to the spark that started the wildfire.

I read once, when one person practices yoga, the family practices yoga. This is true, and I don’t mean just cool postures. Yoga literally means unity. Your thoughts here are unity, and your practice of unity affect all around you. The ripples you create have beautiful effects, so stay strong, stay loving, and let your compassion keep igniting that passion in you!!! ❤️❤️❤️

  6. I couldn’t agree more. We seem to have a huge knife crime here in the UK, and it breaks my heart when I watch the news. 15 year old’s losing their lives. like you, I cant understand how some individuals treat each other. I have just come out of a bullying situation, and it has had such a profound effect on me mentally, but the disgusting thing about it, they knew what they were doing. Have a listen to John Lennon “Give Peace A Chance” song. I blast this out most days! Hope you’re having a lovely Monday. Keep smiling. 🙂

    • Oh my goodness I did not realize there was a lot of crime in the UK! I assumed people were a little more kind and logical in the UK, but I guess bad things happen everywhere. There are strong gun laws in the UK, right? Bullying creates such sad situations. I am really sorry the someone as amazing as you had to deal with such terrible things!
I hope you are having a good Monday!!
