I think it has taken me a while to realize that it is okay to have a bad day. It is okay to not be positive all day every day. Sometimes life might just not seem fair and putting on a happy face just does not work at that moment. It is okay to admit you do not have all the answers to everyone’s issues in life. Admitting and talking about what is on your mind is so important! Smiling through the pain can help some days, but other days it is even more important and helpful to just say “I can’t do it today.”
One day might be absolutely amazing and the next day you just wish you could go back to bed and start over again. The truth is all good days will always be followed by a bad day. It might not be the following day or even the same week, but it is the yin and yang to life. Rain comes with sunshine, warmth comes with cold, happiness comes with sadness, strength comes with weakness and good comes with bad, and there really is not a way around it. The only thing we can do is keep pushing forward to the next day!
No two days are the exact same for me. One day I might feel relatively normal and the next day hurt so much it is a struggle to move. I guess that is just the life I was meant to live. I do believe strongly that our lives are a gift and we are just supposed to live it the best way we can without too many regrets. On those days where my pain is at its highest, I do know in my heart a good day is just around the corner. I used to think the bad painful days were some kind of punishment and for what I never knew, but now I think those bad days are just building me as a person and giving me more strength for the next day in life.
Y’all know that I felt as though I was being negative yesterday, but so many of you graciously told me I was actually a pretty positive person. Through the comments I received you showed me how true my first statement was, that it is okay to have a bad day! Letting go of the troubles from yesterday will make way for a better tomorrow! I guess it is important to learn something from our struggles so that we know how to handle them better in the future because difficult times will always reappear.
I hope y’all had a fantastic day and you are feeling well! Each of you have a strength that benefits someone else in your life and you may not even realize it. Thank you for stopping by to read my thoughts for the day, which let me say are much more positive! Please feel free to leave a comment and I will respond as quickly as I am able to! I hope y’all have a wonderful and relaxing evening. Sending y’all much love and comfort!!
Always, Alyssa

Loved this one, friend!
Your positivity is a breeze of fresh air. Remind me, do you have any disease or illness? It sure does look like that through your posts!
I loved it!

What is that?

It is an autoimmune disease. Basically my immune system attacks itself.

It isn’t a common disease, is it?

No plans. Actually my doctor told me where I have lesions on my spine it would be hard to actually carry a child full term.

Wow… that must be so painful to hear. I love kids. They bring out a certain vulnerability in all of us.

Kids are great but with the way the world is now, I would not want to bring one into it anyways. Things are pretty crazy!!

True. Yet wouldn’t you love to have a child to love? (Pun intended)
I know your husband is your love yet I think that children is something worth suffering for.
Well, that’s my approach

I’m Jewish

Oh now why is that a secret? You are entitled to believe anything you want!

Right.
But that is a very fundamental thing!
Have you ever heard of judiasm?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I have heard some but I am not extremely familiar with it. I always love learning about something new though!

Judiasm is all about believing in god and so much more. Yet that’s the fundamentals. There are many types of Jews: zionists, reform, modern orthodox, ultra orthodox, everyone dresses differently yet the one goal is believing in god (which we call Hashem) and believing that he is our loving father that lives us with such love that no one can ever fathom!
Bored? Or wanna hear more?
You may ask whatever questions I please.
With me ur safe

Oh no that is actually extremely interesting! So do you have to dress a specific way? I am one of the most open minded and non judgmental people there is so please believe you are safe to talk to me about anything!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes we have a dress code. We dress very modestly. We are always covered. Winter spring summer fall, no matter what! Our elbows and knees are covered and we go with stockings.
The married women go with wigs and the men always wear a white shirt and black suit (boring, I agree;)
But that’s the outer part. What really counts is the insides!
God has given the Jews the Torah (bible) to the Jews at mt Sinai and he has commanded us to keep the 613 mitzvos. (that’s what we call good deeds)

It is the strangest thing, I could read your comment on my email but it did not show up on WP. Doesn’t it get hot in the summer? I know that is a strange question, I was just wondering. You have to wear a wig? It sounds so incredibly interesting and I really appreciate you sharing this with me.

It is hot, of course, but that’s what’s we do because we’re Yidden (Jews) and we live Hashem and that’s what he told us to do. Yes we wear wigs, although according to the Torah (hope u don’t mjnd all the new terms;) a woman doesn’t have to shave her hair.
In the recent years it has become increasingly common (especially in the chassidik community) to go like that…
We are all very sheltered. Not like the New York dirty streets. I don’t have any contact with social media (except this blog, which I don’t consider it that!) and we don’t have any boyfriends!!
Strange, huh?
Yeah. And when it comes to marry (the marriage age here is abt 18 or 19 gasp!!) there are matchmakers. Then we date… but we don’t pick boys.
It’s clean and you are almost always sure that you’re not being cheated on since the men and women are devoted and the Torah doesn’t allow that…

That is all very interesting Sarah! I am glad you are able to be part of this blog and I have had the chance to get to know you! It is much better than what could happen out there. People have become very mean and there is really a lot of evil in this world so consider yourself very lucky! So in a few years you will date who you are told and then do you have to marry that person?
LikeLiked by 1 person
No!!! You go on a few dates and if it doesn’t work out you just don’t continue.
We dare till we find the right one. And oh, our parents havta agree on the boy!
They always do though 😉

WOW! It is good there is less chance of cheating! That is a terrible thing to go through!

Yeah.
Most of the girls my age in my community don’t even know all about these stuff yet I am as you said, very mature for my age, and I read a lot. My parents also think that it’s best for me to know before I go figure out practically, if you know what I mean

They should be under your blog posts which is on the right side of the screen. Let me know if you see it!

It’s definitely okay to not be positive all the time. It’s even therapeutic to allow ourselves a good cry and to face the reality of our situation.
There’s rumour that stamping feet and being stubborn can help too. lol Glad it’s a bit of a better day for you.

This is a beautiful post. I may have told you this, but my 25-year old son has MS. I admire his positivity as he deals with it every day. I know he has his bad days as well. We all do but I know health issues are especially challenging.

He’s doing well. I think it’s good he lives at home, for now, as it’s only been 2 years and this has been an adjustment, but he’s very independent and holds a full time job which he loves. I think support is key!
